David Girard Vineyards

Very nice winery with beautiful grounds. Service was great and felt very welcomed. Lots of locals which was great considering I had never been here before and they had lots of recommendations. I would definitely recommend this lovely winery.

Wowza what a visually striking place to go and sit and unwind with wine!! Yesterday was positively dreamy and I'm so extremely impressed and happy with our visit!! My doggy was so relaxed and the snacks that came with tasting were the perfect addition!! Fantastically friendly service, fun chat we had so thank you so much for making this stop so memorable!!!

We were invited to the winery for an intimate concert with Tom Rigney. It was so nice and well planned. We were well taken care of with umbrellas and comfy padded chairs. Enjoyed a red blend wine that was delightful. David, the owner, was gracious and personable as was the staff. They served ice cold water all evening and simple food to purchase. And, Tom Rigney and his Flambeau band was fun, personable, and offered some favorites and a few new songs. Excellent venue for a concert!

We love the location, the venue, the wines, and the service. We highly recommend you visit!

One wet and wild Sunday afternoon I was craving adventure and wine. So I texted my friend who is a member here and she arranged for a tasting and cheese platter. I have been here on sunnier days, most notably for one of those 5k runs through the vineyards, Dionysus Dash. Great venue for it! The grounds are beautiful and the setting which worked for a 5k, but is most appropriate for a wedding. Tastings here are by reservation only. I don't know the exact price, but the service is intimate and relaxed. The cheese platter was tasty with olives, cheeses and nuts. The hit for me was the 2016 Grenache. Nicely balanced and $34 a bottle out the door with a membership (now I see that wine.com is selling for $24 which is a bargain! Go order some!).The drive up can be a bit scary if it's not a sunny clear day, so take your time and enjoy the scenery!

I, myself am not a member here at David Girard Vineyards, however one of our friends is! He took us down here so that we could enjoy some of their wine paired with some cheese and hors d'oeuvres that we've brought with us. We've been to a couple of vineyards before, but we were all in awe when we arrived to David Girard. I just need to point out something: I don't think you need wine to enjoy this venue; it's beautiful and breathtaking. We walked up a path where there was a cute waterfall. But the view that overlooked the whole vineyard was simply gorgeous. The pictures I'll post won't do it justice. To be quite honest, it makes me want to have a membership at David Girard Vineyards. As for their wine, I'm no expert, but I felt it paired well with the food we've brought. That's pretty much all I can really say about that. If you ever get a chance to visit David Girard Vineyards, you'll absolutely be stunned with the views it has to offer. As for their wine tastings and other privileges, it may be worth becoming a member. Regardless, it was an unforgettable experience and a venue that I'd want to definitely return to.

The wines were tasty, the grounds were a secluded and attractive environment to taste and unwind, and our server, David, did a great job! Really enjoyed our relaxed tasting experience, and bought a couple of bottles, as well.

Parking is easy to find in their mostly unpaved lot. We came here for our friends Erika and Jacob's wedding on 11/3. Their wedding was outdoors and the reception was inside. While I cannot speak as to their interactions with the staff, we had an delightful time. Everyone from the bartenders to the bussers to the serving staff were engaging and friendly. It was an beautiful venue and the sunset views are spectacular from there. The outdoor part of the venue was well manicured and gorgeous. The only hiccup was the audio was an bit poor.The reception room was simple but elegant. Large wood trusses and large billowing drapes made for an lovely sight. The food was great for wedding fare. They didn't skimp on anything. If you're looking for an venue for a smaller venue this is definitely one to consider! The roads to and fro are rather windy so beware.

We set up a private tour, tasting and cheese pairing. We had never been and fell in love upon arrival. The grounds are massive with a quaint pond and beautiful architecture. We were greeted with a glass of wine and they had a large table set up for us, including a sign with our name on it, it was very welcoming. We watched a short video on the history of the winery then we started the wine and cheese tasting. Everything was absolutely delicious, worth doing again.The golf cart was broken so we didn't get to tour the grounds but we did sit on the patio and enjoyed some wine. We had the whole place to ourselves. They turned on the waterfall for us, so we got to stroll to the top of the grounds and enjoy the view.We purchased several bottles of wine, the GSR and a dessert wine. If you're a planner, this is a great place to visit and wine taste.

This was my first experience visiting a vineyard, and wow! was I blown away! I visited this venue for my cousin's wedding and you honestly couldn't ask for a more picture perfect setting. We arrived early and took advantage of this time to take lots of pictures with the beautiful vineyard in the background. I was not a fan of walking down the big hill to to reach where the ceremony was going to be held. The ceremony area was very pretty and intimate. The reception space was very classy, and all of the windows allowed us to continue to be able to enjoy the view. I had a chance to try both a red and white version of their wine and I was very pleased with both. If you are looking to plan an event in this area I would highly recommend this venue!
