Danville Summerfest

We biked from Dublin and found this summer fest, how nice! Looks like people all enjoying themselves although it was pretty hot today but it didn't bother them. I saw some pretty interesting booths, I hope we can have more fest like this.

It's a fun experience to attend the Summerfest in Danville. I didn't expect much but there were much to see. I never been to downtown Danville. It's a nice neighborhood. Stores and restaurants on the side of the street and most of the restaurants have outdoor seating. Some of them have live music. There were many booths in the middle of the streets selling different products including gardening and plants, clothes, arts and crafts, jewelry, food....There was a car show if you are interested. I believe the Summerfest is once a year but in Oct there will be a fall fest! Check it out if you are in the area! By the way, it free admission!

Quick take: Nice street festivalConveniently located in close proximity to the Farmer's Market. I went out there early in the morning. It was one of those really hot days. I killed some time at the Farmer's Market since this festival did not start until 10am.A lot of vendors selling handmade crafts. A few food stands, a petting zoo, and a bounce house.

I don't think I've ever been to this art fair before, but was happy to drive out of my way to come here today. Found parking super fast and easy. The fair was arranged on one street with only the food booths or petting zoo in an offshoot street. This makes it super easy to navigate through everything, as you go up and down only one street! Shout out to whoever arranged this -- Good job!The booths were filled with mostly arts and crafts stuff. Not saying there weren't a few high end art booths, as there were. But it was surprising there weren't more high end stuff...I mean this is richey-rich Danville after all, right? Where were all the high end sellers? Hmmmm.I did find some super cute things though!! I bought 4 different artsy things from 2 different venders, so I was happy with my score today! Its been a while since I found something great. So my trip here was totally worth my while!Food was typical fair food. I got the chicken teriyaki skewer and side of steamed veggies, not bad. Pricey but fairly tasty and healthy.
