The Danville Grange Hall is home to my Saturday morning men's meeting starting at 7am. We previously met at CPC church before the pandemic and been meeting at the Grange post pandemic. I love this place. It's an old building but has so much character. Great place to have events such a wedding receptions and birthday parties. Ample parking in front and back. Our men's meeting easily accommodates 150 guys.

This venue was perfect for hosting a rehearsal for a 40 piece marching band. We had a blast and the acoustics were great for our needs. Lots of fun brewpubs in nearby downtown Danville as well.

This is the perfect venue for country line dance lessons! The hard wood floor, historic feel and affordable prices made it the perfect spot. Thanks to the Danville Grange for making this facility open to the community.

The Danville Grange Hall have stood the test of time for more than 130 years. According to the Museum of the San Ramon Valley, "The Grange was founded by Oliver Hudson Kelley after the Civil War. In 1867 Kelley was looking for a way to improve farmers' lives throughout the country and hoping this new fraternal order, the Patrons of Husbandry, would help heal some of the wounds of that terrible war."Today, Danville Grange Hall is host to many events like weddings, performances, club meetings, and weekly lessons. So if you are looking to host an event for the day, Danville Grange Hall might be a fantastic and very affordable option. They have a dedicated stage, an in house upright piano, full kitchen with a fridge, stove, full running hot and cold water, with a double sink to boot!! There is adequate parking at back as well as off street parking. Danville Grange can even provide tables and chairs for your guests. I also found two movable stand mirrors that are often use for dance classes as well. Fantastic!! For more information with Danville Grange Hall, goto:--http://www.museumsrv.org/srvm_history_Grange.html--(925) 837-5251Until then, have a fantastic holiday! Cheers! ~ :p

I have so much love for the Grange! From the jazz dance classes I took here when I thirteen at Lori Buffalow's The Next Step Dance School to swing classes they used to host to the teenage rock concerts my friends used to play.Sure, it's a little run down and you don't come here for first-class entertainment. It's a community center of sorts, a place where people can congregate and experience dance and music on a local level. And for decades this place has filled that need, mucht to the appreciation of soccer mom-types, teenage punk kids, swing kids, and now even Ecstatic Dance (an Oakland-based event) is hosting a satellite dance night here to bring something new to the East-East Bay. (see: http://www.meetup.com/Pure-Dance/ ...and no, I'm not affiliated with this event at all...I've actually never been to it.)As a kiddo I remember coming here to see my friends' bands play, and though the cops would always be nearby, they'd never hassle anyone and made an effort to talk to young folks and be part of the community. As I write about how great the Grange is, I'm trying not to be offended by some of the narrow-minded, rude things people have written in other reviews about this area. Firstly, this is not a "yuppified" neighborhood (venture down Diablo Rd to Blackhawk if you want to see excess and opulence). A lot of these homes are track housing with families who have lived here LONG before Danville was a richy-rich person's town. And the home across the street is not a crack house (in fact I know the guy who's family lives there). People need to really think a little harder about the things they put in reviews, because not only are these comments irrelevant to the Grange as a venue, but it kind of makes you guys seem like a bunch of jerks. So yay for the Grange being alive and kickin', and forget the haters! :)

The parking isn't the best, especially when your dropping kids off the parents kinda do whatever they want and don't park in spots. I've never really been inside by the exterior is pretty cute.

I moved from the east bay over 4 years ago, so much like the first reviewer (amy j.) said, I'm not sure if bands still play here...This is a very odd venue for the fact that it's located in the small and very yuppified east bay town of Danville. it's also quite odd because it's located in a residential area. Granted what Even K. said is true, about having shitty local bands play here 90% of the time, it's true that Grange Hall did book some decent acts (at least the ones I attended...Santa Cruz SKA bands Slow Gherkin and Sneaky Creekans, OC SKA band Forces of Evil played there one Valentine's Day...)They don't serve anything to drink...really, it was down to the bare essentials when seeing a show here...But one show pretty much summed up why you don't open a venue like this in a town like Danville, especially in a residential area...Amazingly, they booked The Nerve Agents and Tiger Army (along with All Bets Off) to play here...it was like a migration of Oakland / Berkeley punx pouring over the hill into this upper-class community...the place was overcrowded and apparently neighbors called the fire department complaining of all kinds of stuff...the cops and fire department came out and shut the show down (just before Tiger Army) claiming that all the people were a fire hazard...it really was insane!Ah good times!

This place isn't worth going to unless you really have no other options. The quality of the music tends to be even a step below what you would think of as small, local bands -- this is the kind of place that you play your first show when you're 15 and have just started a band after first picking up a guitar 3 weeks ago.But this isn't what makes this venue one star bad. No, it gets the single star due to the fact that if you go here, there's at least a one in three chance that the show will be busted by the cops before the night ends. The problem is that the Grange Hall is in the middle of a residential neighborhood, and the local residents really, really don't like this place. So on a given night, there's at least a 50% chance that the neighbors are going to call the cops for noise violations. Then the cops come out and see all the piss drunk high school kids (really, _everyone_ here is a high school student or townie) and within ten minutes the show will be closed.

I'm not sure if bands still play here but from what I remember it was a nice, tiny place to see bands. It catered mostly to the 21 and under crowd. I think there was a crack house (in an otherwise rich neighborhood) across from the street from the Grange Hall. (This may be an urban legend who knows...people do have wild imaginations sometimes.) It gave the kids in suburban hell something to do other than go to the movies or the mall. Keeping kids out of trouble while giving them rock and roll is something I always encourage. There should be more places like this. Do it for the kids.

Last month my mother passed away unexpectedly. We were looking for a venue to hold a celebration of her life, but a lot of banquet halls were booked. Someone recommended the Danville Grange so I called and spoke with Linda. She was very nice and let me checkout the venue. We loved it when we saw it and decided to rent it out. We decorated the grange to our liking and it worked out perfectly!!The venue was reasonably priced, spacious, has plenty of tables and chairs available, and an adjacent kitchen. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to rent a party hall.
