Dante's California Style Pizza & Cafe

The tiramisu cake was awesome!! Ambience was nice & food was good. The raviolis needed a little more flavor.

I'm really sorry my husband has been eating this Pizza religiously for like 30 yrs. and loves it. I don't really like Pizza but I have a piece sometimes. I looked at the online photos of the food and I saw the TriTip sandwich it looks okay in the photo. I thought it would be like the meat you see and smell slow roasting on Barbecues. I then actually went back and read the description it says marinated I wonder ? It was like a thin sliced lunch meat from a deli. It had zero flavor. The sandwich desperately needed flavor so I put salt and pepper on it, still needed something I added a little A1 :(. My husband says he will eat it. Instead of Fries he got a house salad okay I'll eat that. It turns out they use Romaine lettuce which seems to be what a lot of restaurants do now. I keep comming across this. Last time we went to Strings their salad that we love was all Romaine lettuce. Romaine does not have the crispness or water content of Iceberg lettuce. Also the tomatoes were very pale in the Dante's salad. Very disappointing.

Still the best even after four decades of opening. Called for a pick up for a large California combo. Paid with cash and was off to home to feed my mum and her BFF.

I was craving a cheesesteak, and saw this place had good ratings. I know they're known for pizza, but honestly, the cheesesteak sandwich was epic. It was no joke the length of my entire forearm. The roll was super fresh, and the mushrooms, peppers, cheese, etc. were all cooked flawlessly--it really complemented the seasoned meat. Will definitely be my go-to place for a cheesesteak in Stockton!

Pizza is always great! We travel from Sacramento just to get their Pizza probably once a month. The ambiance is also very quaint for couples dinner. Service is always to the point and attentiveness is always . My personal opinion, hit and miss sometimes if it's a pickup order, the usual amount of ingredients are not the same. In any case, the CA Combo is always a great choice. love this place. Next time we go bk I'll add a pic.

Dante's the best pizza and cheese steak sandwiches in town!!! Service is always good and ambiance if you eat inside is good also!! There are other pizza spots that is close but honestly this place is really hard to compete with !! Check it out!! You Wont be disappointed .

Great service, delicious pizza, good value. We had the Tahoe Pizza. The medium was as big as other large pizzas elsewhere. Good amount of toppings, and the crust was yummy!

This is my favorite pizza in Stockton. When I visit family, this is the go to. We usually pick up the pizza(s). Actually the combination is everyones favorite. It is loaded with fresh toppings, plentiful quality meat on top of a crust that is cooked all the way through especially the center. The thickness of the crust is not to thin or thick. It is soft with a nice baked crust. Flavorful pizza sauce without it be spicy or over powering. The pizza is not overdone to the point that the toppings lose their own individual flavors or become a wilted clump.

The old Carmel pizza is the bomb. The spicy sausage and the mushrooms and artichoke hearts. Mmmm. All with pesto sauce. Delicious! It's my favorite pizza anywhere ever.

This place is like a lottery. We got one of their pizzas once a month for probably half a year. It's either a 5/5 amazing pizza, one of the best. Or a 1/5 pizza with the weirdest (sometimes uncooked) crust. Oddly enough it has been a literal split down the middle. So far we have 2 5/5 pizzas, 2 1/5 pizzas, and 1 0/5 pizza with undercooked crust (moist and even if you put your whole hand other the slice, the ingredients would fall off the pizza as it limped in every direction (even between your fingers if you spread them..).
