Love this place! Amazing teachers and our daughter loves the competition team. Year 6 now!

BEST DANCE STUDIO IN THE 209!My daughter has been dancing here since she was 2 (2012, mommy daughter classes), and has been on the competition team for 5 years. Everyone here has become like family. The teachers and staff are dedicated and talented, the classes and recitals are wonderful, and the owner, Miss Harmony*, truly loves her dance kids and focuses on each of their individual needs. Through this studio, the teachers and team, our daughter has learned the importance of hard work, follow through, what it means to be part of a team, how to lose win and lose gracefully, and most importantly, to dance your heart out and have fun. We've danced in Disneyland with this studio, all over California and Nevada, and this year we will get to watch our kiddos perform on a cruise. We love our DCS family, the incredible experiences and memories, and wouldn't want our daughter dancing anywhere else!

My daughter has been dancing here for the past 3 years and loves coming each week. She's taken Jazz, Ballet, and Hip-Hop and is on her second year on the competition team. The teachers take their time to help each student and have fun with the kids. As a parent I always feel welcome and can see the progress in my daughters dancing abilities. Love the costumes for the recitals too! From my experience this is the best studio in town and gives the most opportunities for kids who love to dance.

HOLLY ROCHELLE DANCE STUDIO IS MUCH BETTER!!!!DO YOU LIKE BEING NICKEL-AND-DIMED?DO YOU LIKE BEING CHARGED $85 FOR "CUSTOM" COSTUMES THAT ARE ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL? DO YOU LIKE HAVING PORTRAITS THAT YOU ALREADY PAID FOR BEING HELD FOR RANSOM?WHY WASTE YOUR PRECIOUS TIME, ENERGY, EFFORTS, AND MONEY, $$$$OOOO MUCH MONEY, ON A STUDIO WITH AN OWNER THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR CHILD OR YOU?I had given this place the benefit of the doubt for far longer than I should have. It was horrible the entire time my daughter was enrolled.MANTECA PARKS AND REC-We started out through Manteca Parks and Rec. I paid for TWO SEPARATE classes: Creative Movement and Creative Movement Tumbling. The tumbling class is a joke. It's a dirty storage room in the back with a small mat and a small trampoline. Out of four sessions, they only taught the tumbling class once, it was late because the instructor did not show. The other three sessions did not have a teacher at all and I was not made aware so my daughter was shoved into the dance class that she had just finished. I essentially paid for two different classes, but was forced to take the same class back to back. Did Miss Harmony really not know about this? She knew. She didn't care, she ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY. SERIOUSLY. Miss Jonni, Miss Harmony's right-hand, (spelling?) was the teacher for the dance class and didn't even have enough class to tell me what was going on nor offer a refund for the tumbling class that did not have an instructor. I told Dance and Cheer Stars about it and they said the teacher was already paid so a refund would not be issued. I told Parks and Rec about it and they credited me because ultimately I did not receive the class I paid for. If it were not for Miss Paisley, we would have left the studio immediately, but my daughter fell in love with Miss Paisley. She is great with the kids, her only downside is that Miss Harmony does not let her instruct the class as she deems appropriate.WHAT IS WAITING LIKE FOR PARENTS-There is a waiting "area" that is small, cramped, musty, and stuffy. THERE IS NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE FACILITY. It does not matter how old your child is, you must wait until the instructor says you can come back and watch for the last 5 minutes of class and most of the time, you are not allowed to watch at all. DANCE RECITALS-Winter- Cute, but wayyyyyyy toooooooo lonnnnnnng. Especially when they force the smallest children to go last and second to last. And you are forced to sit through 2-3 hours of other people's damn-near adult children from two separate studios: Manteca and Lodi.MISS HARMONY FORCES YOU TO PAY FOR TICKETS FOR EACH PERSON ATTENDING THE RECITAL, INCLUDING BABIES THAT WILL NOT SIT IN THEIR OWN SEAT.MISS HARMONY FORCES YOU TO PAY FOR CHEAPLY-MADE T-SHIRTS FOR $25.Summer- Promises to be bigger and better, but is really just a waste of your resources that is a BIGGER scam and is BETTER at taking your money. If you want a good seat, you have to go 2-2.5 hours before the actual recital starts and sit through what is essentially old stripper routines. I SWEAR. Some of the moves are so inappropriate for these young girls and for someone with as much experience as Miss Harmony, you would think she would have revamped her moves at some point in the past 15 years. If the moves were not tired and waaayyyyyy outdated, they looked like something you would see at a grimy strip joint by an airport. YOU ARE FORCED TO SIGN A CONTRACT FOR A CUSTOM COSTUME THAT THE KIDS ARE FITTED FOR, BUT THEN THEY JUST ORDER A ONE-SIZE FITS NO ONE FOR EVERYONE. YOU WILL BE FORCED TO PAY FOR YOUR OWN ALTERATIONS.MISS HARMONY WILL NOT OFFER ANY CREDITS FOR FORCING YOU TO SIGN A B.S. CONTRACT.DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE POORLY PRODUCED DVD FOR THE RECITAL. You are told you cannot record, but the dvd is horrendous and not worth $35-$40. Again, HOLLY ROCHELLE DANCE STUDIO IS MUCH BETTER!!!!

Love love love this place! My daughter is 3 n has never had any training of any kind n they made her feel so comfortable. Totally worth the price excited to see the recital! Harmony is the best n so good w kids!The only bad is the front desk person sucks!!! So slow so unorganized n did I say slow!

Excellent dance studio in Manteca and Lodi. The teachers are wonderful and really care about their students. The kids always have a blast! DCS also offers tumbling classes (floor gymnastics) which is nice. They have a large dance competition team that travels all over California and often goes out of state (or country) for their Nationals. Recitals are twice a year in December and June. The cost is comparatively low compared to other studios in the area.

we had a very disappointing experience. We signed up with the Manteca Parks and Rec and were very unhappy with the facility and how they treated the parents and the children. I also found the risque pictures of women and girls in bikinis inappropriate

I have been a part of this studio for 11 years. I started as a student and am now a teacher. My daughter has danced competitively for dance stars for 5 years now. The studio is extremely organized and I can guarantee that the staff really, genuinely care about the students. And I can personally guarantee that all dancers who have danced professionally were trained at dance stars because I was one of them!
