Cunningham Aquatic Complex

First, a large thank you to the residents who live around this pool because every bit of street parking was gone by 7:30am. And the streets are narrow. It took me 40 minutes to find a spot a quarter mile away and I was congratulated how lucky I was. At least all the parents seemed careful not to encroach on any driveways but still, the traffic! At the complex, there's only a small lot that accommodates about 20 cars, not even enough space for the judges and coaches. The pool is well maintained but the deck around it, small. Locker and restrooms are woefully lacking and old. I was grateful I didn't have to wait more than 10 minutes for one of three stalls in the ladies' restroom. Not my favorite competition spot.

I love Cunningham pool! Such a family environment in the complex, friendly lifeguards and a quaint year round team practices there. There are also swim lessons during the summer in both the mornings and afternoons and water aerobics classes. I think there are also scuba diving classes there? The lifeguard training and summer camps they have are also available! Local high schools swim here and practice water polo here. The water is always a good temperature. The only con is limited parking at times and the neighborhood surrounding it, so just make sure to leave your valuables at home or next to you at all times!Lap swimming is free during the morning but $4 during the afternoons.

Signed up swim classes here... i am a bit frustrated with my last experience here.mine & my daughters first class was June 26 (Saturday). During my session my swim instructor told me they were closed for the 4th of July weekend (for obvious reasons). He let me know to double check with the front desk, when i asked do we return the weekend after (the 11th). He said there could be a swim meet which cancels swim class.After i got me & my daughter dressed, i met my husband in the front. we asked the lady (blonde hair, older, medium size) she mentioned they were closed for the 4th but was not sure about the following week. She said if the they had class the following week after the 4th they would call us, if we didn't get a call it was canceled for a swim meet they were hosting.so we never got the call, we showed up the 18th and saw a sign posted on the door about the swim class cancelled. well no one called. this was such an Inconvenience and bad work ethnics. When we spoke to the same lady she acted like she didn't know why we were told that, when she was the one that told us. All she said was sorry that we missed it and we basically lost our session of the 4, and we could get in the water during recreation .... which is a rip off. While we waited for rec to open, another father and his son came and he was a little upset that no one bothered to call to mention class was cancelled. Once we got into the water with our babies he tried to ask for a noodle and they refused to let him borrow it. Any other place would own up to their mistakes and accommodate us. yes they let us get into the pool but rec fee is what $4? we paid $40 for 4 sessions so we lost ...disappointing

I love this place. I'm glad this place is also for the public. I took swimming lessons in my childhood here and always loved the high diving board. It was also close to home so we would walk here to take a dip in the pool.Last year when I had back issues my doctor suggested I start swimming. I started coming here for lap swimming, the evening hours during the summer worked very well for my schedule. They do have a changing area but its all open so if you're like me you want to go already dressed.They do offer a lot of other activities here for kids and adults. Wish they had indoor showers in the locker/changing room.Pool water a tad warmer, maybe?

Signed up for swimming lessons. Staff and lifeguards were great! Clean environment. Had my daughter for swimming lessons. They have 1-6 levels depending on your child. $43 for 2 weeks (m-th) for 30mins. They have lots of options for time depending on when you want it. Instructor's name was Crystal. She is very kid friendly and teaches well. Level 1 is my daughter's and she is patient. I highly recommend this especially while kids are on vacation! Thanks! Well done gvrd aquatic complex!

We took our kids here for swim lessons. The signup process was kind of inconvenient, but the lessons were only $50 per kid per week. The staff was super nice, competent, and great with kids, and when we needed to reschedule one of our weeks of lessons is was super easy and staff was helpful.

AMAZING swimming pool. Cleanest pool I've EVER been in, nice big bleachers, and nice staff.

I live near this pool, and while I would love to do some recreational swimming here, I can't bring myself to support a business who won't spend the time or money to take care of their complex. Almost every night for the past couple months I've been hearing an extremely loud noise in my neighborhood, like metal screeching against metal. It is terribly disturbing and has become a nightmarish routine. After some snooping I noticed the sound is coming from Cunningham Pool. I'm not sure what would be going on at the pool this late at night, but it has been disturbing nearby residents. I've always had pleasant experiences with their friendly staff in my previous visits, but I can't support an organization who has no consideration for their own neighborhood, equipment, or staff.
