I visited Creekside Park as a jumping off point for the Marsh Creek trail in Oakley. I wanted to explore a new part of this regional trail and parked here since there is easy access and lots of spaces. The park itself seems nicely kept, with a community garden an expansive lawn area, a playground and direct access to the trail. I enjoyed the section of the trail near the park with its footbridge and signage about the Marsh Creek area. There seems to be more water in the creek around here than over in Brentwood and along my walk I saw turtles sunning themselves on the rocks, a crane and other marsh birds. This was all within short walking distance from the main park. Well maintained local park, nestled in a suburban neighborhood. I enjoy coming here and doing a loop around the park itself before embarking on my longer trail walks. Review 66 of 100 review goal in 2021

This park is absolutely beautiful ! We play basketball here on the weekends. It is huge so it's very easy to social distance . The views are lovely . I live in Oakland and drive up once a week to hoop with my family here. It is so beautiful.

It had been years since I had been out to Oakley. We were invited to a birthday party located at Creekside Park. It seems to be a newer park and was such a fun place to visit. There is plenty of parking for everyone. The area that was reserved for the party was covered. It wasn't crazy hot this day but it was definitely a relief from the sun to have all of seating under shade. My daughter loved the water fountain installation for the kids to play in. Quite a few kids were really running around crazy in there. If I had known there was such a fountain I would have brought a change of clothes for her. We definitely took advantage of the play structure as well. It can accommodate the bigger more adventurous kids and the more timid or outgoing littlest ones. The grounds are beautifully manicured. My personal favorite part was these gorgeous purple flowers that they had growing. There were more than a few comments about them at the party because not only were they beautiful but they smelled amazing. I took some great photos of the flowers and big bumble bees flying around. The City of Oakley has really done a fantastic job with this park.

In the words of my 6 year old, this is the most boring park ever! I agree with him. Thank goodness my daughter brought a book to keep her occupied while I chatted with other moms. The splash pad is very small and the swings are only for babies. There is a climbing structure but also small and uninteresting. Go to Creekside Park instead in Brentwood. Much better play area for the kiddos.

Beautiful park with plenty to do. Plenty of parking not a lot of shady spots though, skateboard and or scooter area, basketball courts, bocce ball, beautiful baseball diamond, covered picnic table area, benches, BBQ's, walking paths, playground and drinking water fountains. Something for everyone.I would like to add that I have 2yr old and really the only thing for him to really have fun and do is swing on one of 2 baby/toddler swings. No big kid swings. The slide is one of those 'new age' slides without the side rails but you flip your legs over and use your legs to help guide you down the slide. Definately NOT 2yr old friendly. The park has a lot to do but just not so much for the lil tykes.Lighted parking lot.

The park is getting better. The city has really been trying to improve upon it and keep it maintained which is appreciated. Before it was bushy and I would cautiously bike through.

The playground sucks. No swings for bigger kids or monkey bars. Needs some kind of bar for pull ups

I wanted to like this park so much. Let me just start by saying it is absolutely beautiful and the picnic area we rented for my baby shower was shaded and very nice. But upon arrival (12:30pm) the trash cans were completely full already. We left around 6:30-7pm and nobody came in that time to empty the trash cans so that was a little tricky when cleaning up. The bathrooms were a mess and had no toilet paper. There was also tons on ants from what I'm assuming was an event the day before as there was chicken bones and food left all over the ground under the tables. You'd think if they're charging $260 to rent out a picnic area that they would at least stock and clean the bathroom, clean up old food, and empty the trash day of. Also around 5pm (the height of our baby shower) tons of what seemed to be homeless people or drugs addicts kept coming to the picnic area drinking and yelling and smoking were while our baby shower was going on. There was also one guy in particular who stood at the other side of the park drinking beer and watching us and just yelling which made us all uncomfortable being we had children there and he just watched them the entire time while hiding in the bushes. Just such a let down because the area looked like it had so much potential.

This is my church. When I found this park I was stunned and I couldn't stop coming here to relax and relieve my stress. The nature is gorgeous, the people are friendly, and the park is very nice overall. I would say however that early mornings can be sketchy at times but usually I see the regulars come out and walk their dogs. We tend to do a neighborhood watch at times to ensure the park is safe. I hope this park continues to stay beautiful.
