We have always heard that this place is worth the stop if going to Black Oak Casino. Wife and I stopped today and we were glad we did. Very authentic food, everything is made from scratch! Wife had the Fabulous French Toast and I got the Cover's Skillet with sausage. The molasses syrup and berry jam that came with our meals were unbelievable. We are going to make this a regular breakfast stop if in the area. I also want to try their lunch menu as it has some great sounding sandwich options. Great service! They also have a bakery and gift shop that sells lots of cool items (including gallon jugs of unfiltered apple cider). You can pick up food/coffee through their drive through and they have a train ride for the kids. Stop here, you won't regret it!

We came here for Breakfast, and wow, it was good. I have been here before, but never for breakfast. Our server was on point and took care of us. We had a nice breakfast and came with out Model A club and had a great time. Buy some items from their bakery, they are awesome! They also have a great apple cider in half and full gallon bottles. The place had a family oriented feel.

Delicious food and good customer services. I had the hot pastrami sandwich with a side salad and it was delicious. Their salad dressing was unique and fresh. The restroom was clean.

Writing only about their Dutch Apple pie which our neighbor's daughter, who lives in Tuolumne, brought back as a gift for us. The pie was delicious and one of the best ones I've tried from a restaurant-bakery. I never get up to that area but I hope to stop by if we're ever in the area.

The train and playground here is very cute! Recommended for little kids! The service on the food is a little slow, and I'm sure it doesn't help that the kitchen seems to be on the other side of the building. Staff was generally nice and accommodating. We ordered an assortment of brunch foods (nothing spectacular but good). We also got apple cider, an apple turnover, and a snickerdoodle for the road. The kids loved the cider which doesn't seem to be sweetened so we were quite happy with that. The apple turnover was also delicious. It had a very light flaky crust (not super butter in flavor) which complimented the filling which was full of apple chunks and not too sweet!I would come again for the baked goods, knowing they don't over-sweeten.

Choo choo trainer, petting zoos, and apple cider galore. If you love apple pies and turnovers you've hit the right spot. Their triple berry hand pies are actually my favorite over the pies but don't tell anyone. The also has cookies and muffins. My kids loved the train, the petting zoo, and the little play area full of jungle gyms, swings, and cute picnic tables for lunching. Very cute while you are in the Twain Harte area

My family has been coming here for decades: since it was Sonka's, and have never had a bad experience. Everyone is always so friendly and the food is enjoyable. The train has been a favorite for generations now, my babies always have a great time on it and the conductor is so friendly and sweet. All the staff have been super accommodating to my very elderly grandparents including my grandma who had Alzheimer's. The petting zoo is always a favorite. I received a celiac diagnosis a few years ago so haven't been able to eat the food in a while but vividly remember how good the mile high apple pie was, as well as Dutch apple. During my last visit I learned they have gluten free options now but only sell it by the pie not the slice, so I didn't get a chance to try it this time but will update my review if I have chance next time. I love what a charming time capsule this place is, how warm and inviting it is, and just everything about it.

This is a really cool place. They have farm animals you can look at, a train that youngsters can ride and a restaurant/bakery. Their apple cider is fantastic. Both of my grandchildren that were with us thoroughly enjoyed the cider and bakery items. We had lunch and enjoyed it. I had the BLTA and it was on a very good grainy bread. My wife had the Apple Walnut Salad. It had a cider vinaigrette which is tasty. The place is spotless and the service spot on. It's a very beautiful setting that the whole family can enjoy.

Stopped by here on my way home from a few days at Black Oak/Leland's Snow Play. It reminded me a little of Cracker Barrel with the decor and the little shop they have in front of the seating area. The food was really good. I got a breakfast burrito with sausage, and it was full of flavor. The kids plates are a bit of a ripoff if you ask me. They're $10 and come with a single egg and a single slice of bacon. You are definitely better off just ordering your kids adult-sized plates. But the service was good, the food was good, and all the farm stuff/playground in the back was great for kids. I had seen on some sites that the train ride is free, but I also saw you had to get tickets (which to me indicates it's not free). Clarification on that would have been nice, but I'm not sure we would have gone on it either way. A nice little spot for breakfast if you're in the area with little ones who don't get to spend much time on farms.
