Corvelos Portuguese Bakery

Was nearby, Yelped to find something for lunch and found two great places Punjab Express and 2 doors down Cornelius Portuguese Bakery who also serve sandwiches. By the time I got there it was nearly closing and the only sandwich available was their ham & cheese on a fresh baked roll. The roll was very similar to Torta bread or Banh mi bread. The cheese was a semi soft that was creamy and salty and went well with the ham. Very simple meat, cheese & bread yet still very tasty. Also picked up a pan de nato and a small sweet bread. The pan de nato was oh so good!

I've never been to Corvallis Bakery but one of the Stanford residents must've visited and brought back some vanilla biscuits to share in our work room. They're round, hard crunchy cookies - each one about the size of a cinnamon roll- and really good! I'm partially writing this review so I can remember to visit if I ever go down Hwy 99 from Modesto.

Fantastic pastries and service. Will be back to try sandwiches and breads. Also interested in the meats and cheese.

Delicious YUMMY, love the masa savada -SWEET bread, homemade, authentic ! Also love the pão de milho ~corn bread is the real thing. The cheese..Queijo Sao Jorge is SO GOOD. Can't wait to go back!!

Yummy food! Yummy and location is optimal if you have an electric vehicle! The customer service is amazing. He greeted us with a smile and warm welcome!

First time visiting this bakery, I was only in town for a day but couldn't leave without getting me some delicious Portuguese goodies. I bought some Massa Sovada (cinnamon and regular), queijadas, linguica and some cheeses. So needless to say it was definitely at a reasonable price for as much as I got. The place is a small little place with super friendly staff. I will make this a regular stop whenever I'm passing through again.

Super friendly service by the guy behind the pastry counter. So many choices and ordered the Egg Custard and Pineapple cream cheese turnover. Both are great!

My friend brought me bread and cheese from here and the bread was sooooo delicious. Wish we had a store like this in Norco, C

Came to Turlock for the Portuguese Festa, they had no baked goods this year. This was the only 1 of 3 Portuguese bakeries open on the weekend. No traditional Portuguese pastries. Got a loaf of sweet bread and pimento hot sauce, or as I call it the yum sauce! Tried 2 leftover pastries as about to close. Did not seem traditional to me. One was whip cream filled and the other lime filled.

Portuguese sweet bread tastes like yeast? I'm not sure why they are swapping in Sweet and Low in the ingredients, but the taste of sweetbread comes from butter and sugar. I hope next batch is better!
