Compadres Grill and Bar

It's a small restaurant near Raleys. It gets pretty busy, with limited staff. We sat ourselves. We were greeted and were given a menu and given chips and salsa. We were ready to order, but noticed that we had waited quite some time since we finished the chips and salsa by the time she came to getour order. She did offer to give us a more chips and salsa while the food was put in. When the food came, my husband said that his chile verde was cold, whereas my steak ranchera was hot. I enjoyed my food. Very authentic. Even the chips and salsa are good. Make sure you ask for the hotter salsa as well. It has really great flavor.Overall, service was a bit slow, even though she was nice and attentive. Food is good and prices are very reasonable.

We had tried their Menudo and were thoroughly impressed! It had a rich flavor and reminded us of "HOME" (Southern NM) so today after taking care of many errands early in the morning we decided to stop and refuel on some food! The Burrito was filled with Barbacoa and Al Pastor! The flavors were absolutely delicious! The fact that this place has a full bar and Sunday Football is pretty darn awesome. I would return to try more drinks and food is what I'm saying!!!

Tonight I had the most interesting and delicious burrito at Compadres in Galt, it's called the Bull Fighter and it's basically two burritos wrapped individually but they share the same large shell. It comes in two options you can choose from the meat, next time I'm going to choose shrimp and carnitas, today was Shredded Beef & Chicken, let me tell you the sauces and flavors were delicious. I had no idea it was presented like this but next time I'll be better prepared , it was sooo good !!! The sauces were spot on. You need to come and try this delicious , unique option at a great Mexican Restaurant on Twin Cities in Galt !!! Great Service , really great bar atmosphere, A+++

Note we drive far but used to like this place. Probably now not anymore. Tipped 15$!!!! Bevsue of the fact we go often. Order a super burrito, a wet burrito and ceviche tostada. 3 items not a huge order!! Well we didn't get no ceviche. We called back and the lady said yeah I forgot to bag it which okay it can hapoeHow? Aren't they supposed to check when they prep the orders? Also we ordered on the spot and waited 30 min. We kindly asked if we could have a bit more since now we have an inconvenience and they mentioned they can't. Like how? You can't add more it's no they make ceviche in real time. Real disappointed. Waste money. And with a plus husband got in a car crash going to get his ceviche. In all this I tried on calling them back letting them know he was on his way and called 10+ time and never reply. What kind of service is this?

My wife and I came in for dinner. She ordered the the wet burrito with chicken and I ordered the fish with rice, beans and tortillas. My wife loved her burrito. I love the fish. The fish was seasoned just right and the tortillas were warm and fluffy. We also loved the chips and salsa. Customer service is great and ambiance is customer service friendly.

The service is good and server pleasant.I ordered the simple bean and cheese burritos. The beans had no salt therefore it was bland and no flavor. Infact, the beans tasted strange even after I added some salt. I had others try it and they agreed. If a mexican restaurant can't get the beans right, I can't believe anything else tastes good. Beans are the staple food of Mexicans and they should be on point with taste. I probably won't go back because I don't like to waste money.

Food is good but their servers are so rude. I miss their old servers they were nice and fast.

Horrible service. Food terrible. Drunks at the bar were loud acting up with the bartender. Don't waste your time. Look for a better family environment
