Columbia Market & Deli

Great tri-tip sandwich with a cheerful cook. This place is a market basically so don't expect a exemplary dining room. Really great sandwiches with a pleasant and helpful cook. I will be back here.

My husband stopped off on his way home yesterday. Right off Hwy. 49 next to the Columbia P.O. this little low key market is the best kept secret in all of Tuolumne County. Maybe even Calavares. We got a Gyro and a Philly Cheesesteak. They were Both absolutely delicious and flavorful. Plus, we got the small plenty filling sandwiches for $10.99!! An excellent price. The people who work there were very polite and cordial. There were lots of choices for beverages. We will be regulars for sure now that we know about them. They also make hamburgers. Check them out.

A review with a caveat: It was very hot and this deli seemed to be the only place to stop for water and a soda. When I went in I was impressed at how clean the store was and how wonderful the deli selections looked. The only thing I purchased was a cold soda. The five starts were for being open on a Sunday when it appeared that almost all the other stores were closed. I asked the clerk a question about Columbia and he answered with a smile.

OMG. The food they put out is amazing. I had the cowboy sub and the wife had a Ruben. Both were excellent and great portions. The store smells awesome when you walk in and the staff is friendly and welcoming.

We've eaten here several times and the food is excellent! Totally recommended it! It's amazing! My GF and I went in yesterday to grab a couple of breakfast burritos before a hike up at Alpine lake. I ordered a dairy free sausage breakfast burrito because I'm lactose intolerant, sucks, I can't eat cheese. When the cook was making mine. He says "FUCK ! I made this one with fucking cheese!" "I fucking hate alterations" I said (loud enough for him to hear me) sorry I have to be the difficult one here. I'll admit, I was a little offended, but I brushed it off and waited for him to make another. I get it, most people can eat dairy with no issues, I can't and asking for it to be made without cheese isn't that tall of an order and I certainly didn't deserve a verbal F bombed tongue lashing for for ordering it that way. We will go back food is great. All of our previous experiences have been good ones. I'm hoping the management reads this and will give this guy some coaching.

I just paid $6 for a "Greek salad " . Lettuce is brown. 4 olives, small slice of red onion, a little feta. Ridiculous

Going down hill since the Greek guy left, most of the time there's a super rude middle aged guy back there cooking he's super rude and the food is not even half as good as it was. Hope they get it together because I used to eat there a lot.
