City Wide Towing

Be careful giving your credit card information to this company over the phone! I called them to request a tow because the tow company my insurance was sending wouldn't arrive for two hours. I told the dispatcher that I needed to get my car to the tire shop ASAP before they closed. Dispatcher said it wasn't a problem, took my credit card information and then REFUSED TO SEND A TOW TRUCK. His reason was that I hadn't canceled my insurance tow yet. I told him that I tried calling them but they weren't answering so I would have to keep trying to reach them in the mean time. He still refused saying he was going to "pass" because he wasn't going to "race" another tow truck there.What kind of shady business are they running here?! Why would they collect my card information only to refuse me service with some BS excuse like that? After reading all of these reviews about how the employees have been accused of stealing, I'm now concerned what they will do with the card information that I gave them. Well if any fraudulent purchases come up on my account, I guess I'll know who it was!

THIEVES!!!!!!! Should be shut down immediately!!!My Husbands truck was towed to their shop on Monday 6/5, his wallet and cellphone stayed in the truck while he was rushed to the hospital with multiple fractures and surgery needed yet the tow yard would not release his belongings to me (his wife) the owner Roger M. said your husband would have to be the one to retrieve his own belongings because that is his policy unless you can provide a notarized letter with his physical signature. A day later once a notary was available I immediately went to the tow yard to grab his belongings only to find his phone missing (gps showed it on site but they still denied having it) his wallet had already been gone through and cards used on Uber/PayPal/Taco bell and others NO SHAME!!! as for the truck they also stole the beds tonneau cover. Avoid this business at all costs if you value your belongings.......

Few days ago I called a towing company to get a rate quote, that towing company quoted me about $285 to tow my motorcycle 10 miles only. I heard the lady stroking the keys on her register and calling it..."towing plus hook up, plus.".etc..etc.. so I said to the lady, no thank you. then I called city wide towing, I spoke to a dispatcher, I said need to set up an appointment for saturday....he said no appointment needed, just call me that day....I asked for a rate...straight out $90 dollars. So, Today I called. thinking yeah right, $90....the tow truck showed up right on time. I did not get the drivers name, he was an old man, very polite, very calm, very experienced and professional. I was concern with my bike, loading it to the flat bed. With calm and patience he loaded it with ease. Not only that, he stopped couple of times on the way to the motorcycle shop to make sure the bike was secured during transit. old man said "taking precautions as if it was mine own bike"...the truck arrived to the shop. the same professional performance given by the old man.....and yes only $90 dollars, no buts, no additional change. so I gave him a straight $100 dollar bill. I know is not much as a tip....but with this pandemic, I even count my pennies when buying pizza. Thank you for keeping your honest rate and for the great service. We need people like this who really care and enjoy their job.You are definitely going on my phone list of contacts for emergencies.thank you and God Bless.

My wife, myself, and aging dog walked away from a head-on collision on Hwy 4 just west of the San Joaquin River bridge. City Wide towed the wreck remains of my Subaru with all of our camping gear to their yard and locked it up. A few days later in a rental truck I drove to City Wide to collect my gear. Roger and Mike were extremely helpful in loading my camping gear in the truck and lending me a screwdriver to remove my Marine Corps license plate frame. Good people.

The worst tow company I've ever had to deal with in my whole entire life I would rather pull my car with a horse and buggy than use them

After waiting over two hours for the tow truck being sent by my insurance company, I finally gave up. I called City Wide Towing, and the gentleman was at my location in less than 5 minutes!! Dang, this guy was good and fast, I could not have asked for better service. I strongly recommend City Wide Towing for everyone!!

LOW LIFE SCUM/THIEVES!!! Business should be shut down immediately... they Stole my Cellphone Debit/Credit card information and started spending quickly...After my accident my truck was taken to their yard on Monroe Street in Stockton. While my truck was there my wallet, iPhone and computer were inside the cab. The business owner would not let my Wife retrieve my belongings he stated it was there policy that I would have to be the one to physically retrieve my items, this was not possible I explained since I was in the hospital getting treatment for multiple fractures/surgery (they did not care as their policy apparently supersedes all). We where asked to provide a notarized letter so my wife could retrieve my belongings, a day later once we provide the letter my wife unfortunately only found my laptop and wallet that looked like it was rummaged through thoroughly. While they were in possession of my wallet they went on a shopping spree Uber/Taco Bell/ PayPal and numerous others NO SHAME! even though my cellphones gps traced the phone to their yard they still denied having it. Today the owner would not speak to me he would not even show his face. The only person that had enough sense to talk to me was the manager, and she was of no help, while we where leaving the site the owner was laughing blatantly in our faces, because he knew the police were not going to show up while we were there.

Horrible service, belongings get "lost" before owners go pick up their stuff from the car after being in a car accident.

Do not let the police use this company or this tow company anywhere near your car if you want your stuff to come up missing. Had a family member lose all his belongings at this place after a bad accident phone/cards etc. and tracked his phone to the tow yard and they still denied having it there. Going to report to the bbb hopefully have this place investigated for shady business practices. Apparently this is nothing new to this company judging from the reviews from different customers on different sites.

As a business owner i know how easy it is to get negative reviews and how rarely a customer after having an awesome service will go and tell everyone about it! Those guys did an awesome job!Our truck got stuck in a ditch and 3!!! towing companies couldn't help us (plus it was on Saturday)! Then those guys showed up and we were sceptical! Our huge truck was ast 45* angle and we were not sure they can pull it off with their 2 little trucks. Guess what - 4 hours of inch by inch work and this truck was out of the ditch with NO damage! They worked like doctors. Step by step first front then back! We were more then impressed! And their pricing - they would of told us $1,000 and we would of not complained. $250!!!! thats all they charged for ALL THIS WORK! From now on - they are our to go company (hopefully we won't need them too often lol)
