Chong's Cuisine

Extremely generous portions and low prices. I will definitely be coming back on my drives to Yosemite! The place is clean, the staff is extremely friendly, and service is fast. I can't get over how huge the portions were. That makes Chong's stand out for sure. Also, we asked for "less salt, less sauce" on everything, and it all came out perfectly. Here's what we ordered:* L2 Lunch special: Comes with mongolian beef, chow mein, fried rice, spring roll. I really liked the beef -- a good dish, similar to Panda's. Chow mein was similarly delicious, and the spring roll was fresh, crispy, tasty. The fried rice was the ugly duckling for me. Tasted like rice with soy sauce. That wasn't a big deal though. The rest of the combination was well worth it!* Kung pao chicken: This dish didn't hit the spot for me. The chicken was relatively dry, and I wasn't sure what to make of the taste. It was a bit strange. Not a particular fan, but hey, it was still a large portion! So I'm still a decently happy customer.All in all, there were some misses, but the wins outweigh the losses -- I would more than happily come back to try other dishes! I would highly recommend this place to anyone on a long drive. The massive portions will make you very very happy.

I got takeout so didn't eat there. I ordered beef chow fun cuz I was really craving it and it was horrible. The noodles were so mushy that it literally made me gag. As soon as they were in your mouth, they disintegrated into mush. Sad because everything else in the dish was fresh and tasty but with chow fun, it's about the noodles and these were so bad, I don't know what how you can even make them be that way. The other dish I ordered was egg fu yung - not my favorite dish but my partner likes it - and it was very good. I would order that again.

The best Chinese food in Turlock. Service is always great, foods delicious and fresh. Chong is very nice and helpful

This may be one of my new favorite restaurants for Thai/Chinese food. We will see as time goes and more orders to come for more experiences. Nice and clean small place at the corner of the plaza, seating about 43 occupants, but friendly and prompt customer service. Order to go beef chow fun during busy hours, but regardless they got my order ready within 5-10 minutes. Usually, at other busy places, might have to wait 15-30+ minutes during busy hours. Food was good to my liking being of Thai/Lao ethnic myself. Love that they give large generous portion with a good price.

SO. MUCH. FLAVOR! Seriously delicious. Definitely spicy!! But the perfect heat!! Try this place out!!

Clean restaurant, simple decor, cheap price. I took my food to go today for lunch. My orange chicken combo plate came with lo mein, rice, three deep fried shrimp, and of course of fortune cookie.The orange chicken was very good. The lo mein was quite bland, and the noodles appeared as if they had been sitting for a long time the rice was quite sticky, and not that good. It was as if they had scraped the bottom of the rice pot on my entrée , the deep fried shrimp were heavily battered with very little meat. While the flavor was fine, there was no real taste other than crunchy deep-fried batter.The service was exceptional. The gentleman who took my order took great pride in customer service, and I appreciated that. All that said, I probably won't be back due to the average food quality.

I have eaten at Chong's a few times. Food is tasty and the service is great! Super friendly people who appreciate your business. Family owned business that is hard working. They offer a variety of food all of which taste great and the portions are large for an affordable price.
