Cool experience to learn archery. Coaches are knowledgeable and help you learn the correct form so you don't get injured. The club is a fun experience and the kids form great friendships.

This is the place I bring my son to shoot archery. The coaches are very knowledgeable and passionate about archery and their enthusiasm is passed on to the other archers. Parents are very supportive and each archer is willing to help each other out. Very good environment for kids and adults to learn archery and prepare to compete if they desire.

We joined Chia in December of 2022 and love being part of the club. Victor's passion for the sport, knowledge as a Level 4 coach, and growing the (youth) archery community has been such a great experience for our daughter so far. As archery parents, Victor guides you as a parent coach in supporting your child through hands on training which is a rarity here in the Bay Area. We highly recommend Chia archery to both new and existing archers who are interested in being competitive in this sport.

The coach, Victor Chia, offers time to focus on and cultivate individual archers' skill using metaphors to help us visualize what we need to change in our form. He is an experienced Level 4-NTS coach, and if you follow what he says, and practice enough, you'll do well. He, as well as other coaches and experienced parents and archers, will guide you through the process of buying the right equipment and help you understand the structure of competitions and rankings. Shooting here is fun not just because you can improve but also because the people here are fun to shoot with. There is friendly competition and the team here is always supportive.

Excellent, Super and Wonderful!!!Firstly, the coach - Coach Victor is very knowledgeable and passionate about the sport, with his years of experience he can tell what archers are going through and where they need help with, there is no cookie cutter approach here at this club and everyone gets personalized training based on their skills and level. Coach knows when and how to train kids and what aspects of archery. His feedback and guidance can be visible in the shooting in just 1-2 lessons. The club hosts several class options for kids and adults and most of these are small size groups so the coach can give attention to the students and give them personalized instructions. Most of the current and past kids have excelled in the sport and various competitions and part of regional and national teams. In addition to the sport training, Coach Victor is very observant and will help kids archers to develop an athlete personality whether it is by a strength training plans, playing mini games during training sessions or have social meets during out of town tournaments. The all round aspects of sport make it more likable by kids. And the feeling of a family oriented club makes everyone feel, secured and a sense of belonging. I have a ton to write about Coach Victor, Conner and all the parents who are part of this club, everyone is super helpful and share their experiences whether it is the sport, struggles kids go through with practice, equipment travel plans for tournaments. The like minded students, parents and dedicated coach makes Chia Archery a learning place fun to be part of and not only enjoy the sport but master it and make great friends in the Club. Thank you Coach Victor and Club!

Archery is one of the Six Arts that formed the basis of education in ancient east culture. It played a significant role in shaping young practitioners' personalities and was once considered an essential skill among scholars and the higher classes. In this regard, the coach is expected to meet a high standard and act as a role model in front of their students. Chia does not understand the historical and cultural significance of archery. It does not care about its role in shaping a child's personality. But it is very strict about payment deadlines and likes to criticize flaws of your gear so that it can sell you something. The family business has a weird atmosphere. The way it communicates is terrible. It displays erratic behavior, swinging from being overly passionate to rude and arrogant intermittently. Its manner reflects a lack of formal education and exhibits illiterate behaviors. This makes me uncomfortable hiring him as my kid's teacher. A coach needs to be at least mentally mature. The business also misleads parents by using a Ph.D. title, which is completely irrelevant to archery. I've heard some parents say that Chia has a doctoral degree. But there is no Ph.D. training in archery. It may not be appropriate to call it cheating, but a dishonest marketing strategy. If you send your kid to this club. It will easily cost you several thousand dollars a year. He showed off his kids and likes to talk about "family" which is nonsense. It never made one feel respected or included. Besides, you need to drive a long time to get to its indoor ranch, which is another club's facility. It smells horrible. Kids stand very close to each other which makes the training neither pleasant nor safe. If you are determined to train a young archer. You should send your kids to outdoor facilities more often and try to get yourself at least a level 2 coach. It is not that complicated. The only reason that parents send their kids to its club is that there is no competitor in this area. Hopefully, some passionate and young professional coach can open a club in the bay area.Glad that fired Chia. It was a horrible experience, a waste of time and money. If you decided to leave, be prepared that Chia will not refund you.

This is the most weird coach I ever met, after two trial lessons with very positive feedbacks on my daughter performance he declined my daughter because 'his team is not a place to save money'. We have no any money issues, all payments were made immediately and we're fully following Victor's instructions... The only money discussion was after the second lesson where Victor was trying to sell us some used equipment from other team members, but I told him that I would like to purchase a new and more advanced one. Victor told us that we don't have to buy an equipment until we are finishing 4 trial lessons, but suddenly declined us after the second lesson. When I asked him to explain the reason for decline there was no response. Stay away from this business and personally from the coach Victor Chia.

You won't find a better club than Chia Archery. Victor Chia is an expert on teaching the skills necessary to be a successful archer. He is skilled in archery equipment and helping you find the best equipment for your skill level. Furthermore, he gets you prepared for all the state and national tournaments if you're interested in being competitive. But the best part of the club is the camaraderie of the archers and that extends all the way to the parents. You won't find a better group of people to be around.

Excellent Archery coaching by Victor. I bring both my kids to training here from Fremont. I searched several places that are in the vicinity but could not find a coach who is highly certified as Victor is. He is dedicated and demands the same from parents and kids. I highly recommend Chia Archery if you are looking for archery coaching that can take kids from novice to expert.
