An Incredible Birthday Gift with Chef Henry!For my birthday, my wife gave me one of the best gifts I could ask for: a private cooking session with Chef Henry. Knowing my passion for food and my struggles with mastering pasta-making, she hired Chef Henry to not only teach me but also to prepare three stunning pasta dishes for us. The experience exceeded all my expectations.Chef Henry's pasta was truly exceptional--better than anything we've ever had in a restaurant and even surpassing the pasta I've enjoyed during multiple trips to Italy. As a foodie, I was blown away by the quality and flavor. It was, without a doubt, the best pasta I've ever had.Beyond his culinary skills, Chef Henry is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. He was patient, kind, and a pleasure to spend time with. Chef Henry makes delicious food! My partner wanted to do something special for my 40th birthday party a couple years ago, and had Henry come and make some delicious (heavy) appetizers for us and our guests.To give you an idea: chicken and waffle skewers, blue corn bread, korean short ribs, brisket sliders. Everything was incredible. Henry came to our house with the raw materials partially prepared, and finished everything in our kitchen, setting up a beautiful display of food for us all to eat.Two years later, when my partner was also hitting a milestone birthday, we invited him back, and he somehow exceeded our expectations again, along with Rodney, who assisted him (and me, too, as I was setting up for the party).Beyond the food, Henry is just a really kind dude, genuinely loves creating delightful food, and is fun to chat with here and there as he's preparing things.In a couple weeks he is going to cater an after-party for our wedding, and we're super excited.

We had a small intimate wedding with just small group of people at the Berkeley Rose Garden last minute and we hired Chef Henry to cater our little happy hour after the ceremony. The food was so amazingly delicious. It was so nice walking up the aisle and walked out straight to Chef Henry food table and start munching. Everything was so delicious and look so very elegant but my personal favorite was the mini chicken waffles. They are to die for. Thank you again Chef Henry and I can't wait to book you again for our next event.

Chefs Way Catering is top tier! I just attended the End of the Summer dinner, hosted by The home of Chicken and Waffles in Oakland. Everything tastes wonderful and was of the best quality. You could tell that they used all fresh ingredients and took the time to present every course well. Chef Henry is always pleasant, engages well with his clients, and has a great reputation in the Bay Area. He also does public and private events. For the second time, Chef Henry and his crew created a delicious meal for a special occasion at my home! I highly recommend him for any event, of any size. We had several dietary restrictions in our group he had to work around (gluten, soy, onion, to name a few), and he did a brilliant job without sacrificing any flavor - every person could eat every offering! My only complaint was there were not enough left overs, which is really the best complaint to have with my friends and family.Of special note: the rice cake with wild mushrooms and sesame crusted ahi tuna were truly amazing starters. The New York Strip main was also a giant hit, served with roasted veg and creamy potato.I've attached a couple pictures of my favorites. If you need him, book early!

Chef Henry recently catered a birthday dinner in Healdsburg and it was incredible! The food was delicious, the presentation beautiful, and the set up/break down in our rental house kitchen was seamless. Highly recommend!

Chef Henry and his team delivered an unforgettable experience for our private dinner of 12 celebrating a 40th birthday. The food was *beyond* delicious, and each dish showcased exclusively sourced, high-quality ingredients that took the evening to a whole new level. The Fiscalini cheddar in the shrimp and grits was a standout, the Bloody Butcher Cornbread was rich and so full of flavor (I think we were all considering licking our plates clean), the Roasted Root Vegetable Salad was beautifully balanced (it had the most delicious Thumbelina carrots I've ever tasted), the 24-hour braised oxtails were melt-in-your-mouth tender with the best glaze to it, and the banana pudding with crumbled cookie was the perfect sweet (but not too sweet) finale. The vibe? Immaculate. Chef Henry and his team struck the perfect balance between being fancy and elevated (yes, that kind of elevated ) while keeping everything approachable and fun. He explained each dish with so much care and thoughtfulness, making the experience even more special. The pacing was flawless--not rushed, but perfectly timed to savor each course, digest, and enjoy some conversation. We got to take home what we couldn't finish and I have been counting down the hours to my leftovers dinner tonight If you're looking for an extraordinary and absolutely delicious culinary experience, Chef Henry and Chefs Way Catering is IT. Chef Henry is amazing! He came to my house this weekend and cooked a 5 course dinner paired with wine for 10 people. He developed the menu and I let him run with his ideas because they were excellent. He brought all of his own cookware and plates for our guests which made everything really easy. The food was delicious and was presented beautifully on the plates. His homemade pasta was wonderful, as was his ribeye, and stone fruit salad. He made a delicious homemade strawberry shortcake and it was a perfect way to end a memorable and special dinner party. I highly recommend him and he's one of the kindest people you'll ever meet.

We worked with Chef Henry and his team for an 80 person baby shower. All of our guests were happy as there was a variety of food for different diet restrictions. Chef Henry was so flexible with developing a menu that fit our budget and was very accommodating to our ever changing last-minute headcount adjustments. I would give more stars if I could!
