I have been going with Captain Brandon for years. He always strives to make sure that our family or the friends that we bring on the boat with him are well taken care of. I have been out with many guides before and we haven't had the success we experience with Captain Brandon.His boat is clean and he has always been on time. He goes above and beyond and never stops working, he is either changing out bait or trying new spots to fish. I have always fished with my dad, but recently took my two children out stripper fishing for their first time. Captain Brandon made this experience awesome for my kids. We had a great time and we will continue to use Championship Sportfishing Outfitters

I've been fishing with Brandon for 16 years. We usually go out two or three times a year. He's always been on time, prepared, and willing to share his knowledge. His gear is in great condition and his boat is very comfortable. He taught my Boy to fish when he was 10 and now he loves to fish. He is by far the best guide I've ever fished with.

I recently completed a guided fishing trip for two with Championship Sportfishing Outfitters Captain Brandon Beachum and am a very satisfied customer. I booked the trip approximately 3 weeks in advance after discussing the circumstances with Brandon. It was to be my son's first fishing expedition and I explained it was absolutely important that my son catch a fish, I deeply desired him to have the experience. I could care less if I caught one or not, but my son needed it. Brandon told me he would do his best.The day of the trip, we met in Sacramento at Discovery Park. Captain Brandon was entirely prepared, his boat is spacious (able to accomodate 6) and dog, Ducky, very friendly. We got on the water just before sunrise and motored to the troll area. All the gear was provided, precise instruction, and personal help given on how exactly to use the fishing rigs. The morning started well with 2 anglers quickly hooking up for 2 fish on the boat. Soon the tide came to a lull and as Delta area fishing goes so too did the bite. Not to be discouraged the Captain displayed the countenance of a true guide and stuck to his tactics with the bulldoggedness that separates a professional from a part time sportsman. I was patient myself but could tell my son was slightly bored and losing enthusiasm. Around midday another angler landed a fish for his limit. My son nor I had caught a fish by this time. I wondered how many tries we would get before the trip expired. Captain Brandon, silently understanding and sharing my hopes, has no quit in him. Time and again we made passes, finally we got a hookup. My son got his fish, the excitement which had turned to boredom returned and his elation was immeasurable. He commented himself how awesome the trip was and at that moment I felt a fulfillment only a parent knows. Captain Brandon, you truly made it happen for us, thank you!!! I would have understood had he said that is enough, it is fishing after all (not catching) and it is a bit like a gamble. He went above and beyond in my opinion to take care of my son as if it were his own family. He is very knowledgeable about his profession and easy To be around. To keep going with confidence that a fish is out there for the client when the situation seems bleak, makes it easy for me to give this Outfitter a 5 star review. My son and I will always have this memory, I couldn't put a price on it. My first born got his first fish and we both won. I would not hesitate to refer anyone on a trip with this company and hope to book another experience in the future for other fish.

Since my first trip salmon fishing last year, I've been on 5 trips with Brandon. Two striped bass and three salmon trips. Every time I catch my limits. First salmon trip this year we had our limits by 11am and mine being the biggest salmon I've ever caught at about 26lbs. Went out again this past Monday on Labor Day weekend. We all had our limits by 1pm and this time my salmon was about 22lbs. Brandon fishes for quality fish and knows what's he's doing. If you're a new fishing person or an experienced one, a trip with captain Brandon is well worth it.

Our fishing trip was awesome. I made an error in the day and Brandon changed his plan and accommodated us even though he had already cleaned the boat from his first trip of the day. Took us out alone. It was our 5th anniversary and I love fishing so it would have been a bummer and not only did Brandon help and give us a great fishing trip, we caught two huge salmon. Mine was 30lbs and my husbands was 35. Not so bad for an afternoon Saturday trip. Boat was super big and comfortable. We are going back for our 6th anniversary too. Thank you captain Brandon. (Also, our bed and breakfast in Redding was pretty great too. Gorgeous place. )

We went yesterday for sturgeon fishing with Capt Brandon Beachum and did not catch any sturgeon despite now is the season with good fishing reports. There were 5 of us with 6 fishing poles he used his own not to mention he was following and controlling everything. We stayed under the sun for 8 hours in an open boat without any shade or any entertainment. Just set there on swampy unattractive waters when Brandon hardly talked for 8 hours got exhausted paid $875 and came back. He seemed using a radar but obviously it did not work. This is while we were assured about a good catch. I think the reason for that is he did not want to drive far where good fish is, he drove only 10 minutes from his boat parking to save on gas. Once he told that he wouldn't go to the bay from Delta because would spend 80 gallons gas. So, as soon as he made sure to get his money before the trip started he just killed some time, took couple of phone call on the boat itself to schedule other "fishing trips" and just brought us back. No apology, no inclination to try to make up in some way for wasted time, exhaustion, being ripped off and lied to. Don't make a fool of yourself and in front of your friends and trust this person.Just the fact that as of now before I post this review he has 2 "5-star" reviews but 4 of other reviews are filtered means that he himself wrote all this these "rave" reviews. Have never seen any business which had more filtered reviews than non-filtered ones in this site.

I've been fishing with Captain Brandon since 2015 for various species of fish including striped bass in the delta, salmon and steel head in Sacramento River, and halibut in the San Francisco Bay. He is a very knowledgeable and experienced captain and always puts me and my buddies on fish to help to fill our freezers and bellies!! Just show up and fish, all bait and tackle for the day included with the price and very comfortable, clean, and spacious boat! It has fit me and 3 other buddies easily. Can't wait to book a trip and catch more in 2018!!

We had a wonderful day on the river, and caught some beautiful salmon! Brandon is a terrific guide, and an expert in his field. With his direction and knowledge, we were reeling in some beautiful king salmon, well over 20 lbs. when no one else on the river was catching anything. We baked a portion of our catch for dinner last night and it was heavenly! So delicious. If you want the best charter experience around, Brandon is your guy! We had a wonderful fishing trip on July 6, 2023. Captain Brandon was terrific! Within 20 minutes of fishing, my husband landed a huge striper. We both reached our limits in stripers, due to Captain Brandon 's expert knowledge of the area. This is one of the best fishing charters that I have been on.
