Cathy's Beauty Supply

I read the reviews, but I think some of them may be older ones, because I've only been treated with kindness while visiting the store. They have always been helpful and respectful to me. They have answered all of my questions and assisted me with care. I have visited several times in the last two years. I will continue going to this store, because I live in another city and I cannot find the hair care products I need for my hair in my home town.

Young helped me try on wigs because I'm getting surgery and will need to cover my hair to feel a sense of normalcy. He was so nice. They have so many types of wigs and are super knowledgeable. Young, thank you being so nice and patient if you are reading this. That hair documentary is eye opening.

This beauty supply is more on the expensive end, but it's convenient/gets the job done. I occasionally come here for eye makeup and hair products. I would continue to come back as needed.

Drove out from the Bay Area to make a stop at this place. The owners were nice and the don was very helpful, he knew the hair products and was very honest on what was best for your money. Being that I wear braids the brand I use RastaFri was the same price I pay in Hayward for a tri pack, however the people I was with wanted weave hair and it's much cheaper at this place vs in the Bay Area? Online, etc

Someone in a earlier post said this place was black owned it is not but that's not why I don't like it. I used to go there for 2 years they were friendly to me then one day the Beeper goes off he thinks I've stolen something asked me to open my purse I told him I don't have to but I will once I do and you see that I have stolen nothing I will never step foot in here again if you don't trust me it's your choice he decided to search of course found nothing and I haven't been back since.

Their products are overpriced and they don't offer returns. You're better off finding several products online for the price of one of their wigs! I understand that's what keeps the business afloat, but $79.99 for a mixed synthetic wig is BS. Never stepping foot back into that store!

I recently moved to Stockton and I needed to find a beauty supply store. My cousin recommended this place out of several beauty supplies I've been to in this city. I've walked into several places and turned right back around and left! From not acknowledging me when I walk in, to hawking and being watched while I shopped! My first impression of Cathy's was it was clean and organized! My second impression was being acknowledged as I walked in! I received a genuine welcome and I didn't feel watched as I shopped for what I needed! As long as I'm in Stockton, I will always get my beauty supplies from this place!

Been going here for years. It's one thing to own a beauty supply but it's another to own one and know your product. I'm an African American woman and these people here can answer questions about products with the same knowledge as me. I respect them for that. I'm sure they dislike the people in the community they serve but they are located across from the hood. Most shopping stores in that area have been closed down due to theft but they are still going strong and show respect to the customers. The hair dye is cheaper here than Sally's. This has to be my favorite beauty supply. I've moved out of town multiple times and still will always come back to Cathy's.

No stars they are very rude only blacks patronize them I wouldn't buy a piece of penny bubble gum from them they stare you down like you going to steal something how do you put alarms on 1.99 lip gloss the alarms cost more than the lip gloss I hope no one buy anything from them ever You have to give a star to post that's why they got 1but no stars for me

Super organized store , also great customer service . Recommend this store for anyone who's looking for hair, accessories and more !!!!!
