So what's up with the school now??? The teachers need to get more education on mindfulness and start addressing the kids/students in a positive manner rather than being rude about how someone may look or not understand. They also have a problem with bullying which also is also ignored or encourage by the school principal. The school needs help.Other than that some of the teachers are nice.

They don't care about bullying. They only care about the money. My child was bullied because we aren't "wealthy" enough though well off. My child came home crying every other day it seemed because they were forced to eat alone because nobody wanted to befriend them. The administration didn't care so we quickly got the heck away and landed at st Anne's in Lodi which is wonderful.

Though Catholic school was not for me, this place offers a good education , and I can't complain there. There is a reason why practically each class has a waiting list for enrollment.... and it's not the hot lunch days... which I may add have come along way since I was a student... I'm not complaining much, but rather showering accolades on the person innovative enough to think that kids shouldn't have to eat special treats of 'McDonald's Hamburgers' and now offer Gian's Deli sandwiches twice a week! I hear that there is even a DaveWong's Day now. Struth!

This school had some bad reviews before. I guess they are playing a game and changing around their name. Bottom line is that this school has a bulling problem and lack of leadership at the top. The previous principal left and it seems the rest of the staff quickly followed once the new woman was in charge. Those in charge seem unqualified when looking at their resume and in observing their performance. And it is suspicious that the principal's family donated an expensive computer program not too long before she was hired, and she had no real experience that she could speak of. The discipline model is punitive regardless of fault. The administration is also unprofessional when they speak to students about their own parents-making comments on their relationship status! I'm not joking this happened to us. If you want your child to have a quality education, in a warm loving community, look elsewhere. It is a shame to spend money on this school. Just look at the handbook. It clearly states that for every hard and fast rule the school can make an exception. Which ends up meaning punitive punishment for one, and special treatment for another. I had two kids and saw the difference in treatment. It killed me to know one was given no room for error and punished even when they knew he was not responsible. The school suspended all boys in his class including him even though only one or two were to blame for a bullying incident. The incident involved name calling from two boys. This is their brilliant anti-bullying policy, and only one of many examples. My girl was given so much special treatment. She would miss big assignments and be given extra time to make up the work for full credit. My son would be given zero points for not uploading a power point which was already complete, onto the school computer. The upload was to happen during school as part of the presentation. The teacher called on him to present and upload a day early. If you think about this, he does not control the speed of the computer-why punish him? Give him a few extra minutes and verify the work is complete because it was. Do not subject your children to this hypocrisy, the arbitrary punishment makes kids stop trying and the special treatment makes kids irresponsible and lazy. Two things I would avoid. I have many more examples of this school's poor performance, but there isn't enough space.

Now that I have graduated from Annunciation, I am finally eligible to write this truthful review. Throughout my past nine years at Annunciation the school never ceased to deliver a perfect, Catholic education. Christ is truly at the center of Annunciations' work. Not only is the staff but the community is also every accepting and kind. I have never felt not accepted by any other student, staff member, or parent. The community is great and supports Annunciations students. In addition to offering scholarships, Annunciation School also offers tuition assistance. While at school, students have the ability to use brand new state of the art I Macs and I Pads in the computer lab, and Chrome Books for the year for fifth grade up. Through the new elective program, students are taught what high school may be like. In all my nine years at Annunciation, I was never bullied and the only occasional mere bullying that only over-protective, ignorant parents may have thought may have taken place was dealt with discreetly and in a timely manner balancing the feelings of the supposed victim. The staff is very educated, friendly, kind, caring, extremely fair in the right situations, and not nearly ignorant as some parents that may post bad reviews are here. The current principal is one of the best their has ever been. She has always stood up for what is right and has a bed full of experience in leadership and education at all levels, meanwhile, the vice principal has a lot of experience too. Including managing, creating, and leading her own school prior to working for Annunciation for years before she was promoted. In lieu of great rules, Annunciation features rules that are clearly stated and allow for little to, in most cases, no separate interpretation. To be clear (because some obstinate, inequitable parents seem to be fabricating information) Annunciation has a zero tolerance bullying policy and they give no special treatment to anyone, nor do they discriminate on basis of religion, previous transgressions, previous education (in some cases), or any other questionable values. The principal, much like the vice principal were both promoted based only on experience, merit, and leadership skills. Also, Annunciation teaches its students the SLE'S or School Wide Learning Expectations which includes moral and ethical values while highlighting the importance of faith and academics. Overall, the great security, care, education, and faith of Annunciation is astounding. I recommend Annunciation School to everyone as no other school across the globe can possibly equate to Annunciation's education, faith, and care for its students.
