just nowMy first experience with Capitol Yamaha was with Julie, who responded to a chat I initiated on their website. She was very welcoming, and I was immediately comfortable with her. She introduced me to Trevor, their sales person, and I was also quickly comfortable with him, too. Long story short, we bought two new WaveRunners and a trailer. We spent a little more here than we would have spent in our own city, but I had no confidence in the sales person who I tried to work with there, so paying a little more at CYS was not as painful as it might have been. We also purchased another $700+ on accessories, and Julie took good care of us there. All in all, the CYS experience was great! Thank you, Julie and Trevor!

I was there for the first time recently, and I will never ever step in to this place again.I recently bought a dirtbike brand new from a different dealership farther away. Having not had opportunity to ride it for several weeks the carburetor gunked up and bike was bogging down and not idling. I took it into capital Yamaha. Rather than understanding the problem they just paid attention to the fact that the bike wasn't idling and they simply turned the idle screw up too high and told me the bikes good to go. Right there in their parking lot I turned the bike on and gave it tiny bit of gas in 1st and the bike got away from me and hit my trailer leaving me terrified. (It's a 110 with no clutch)Kinda glad it hit my trailer and not someone else's property. And these idiots didn't even apologize.

These guys were super nice and promised the world. We have an older Bear Cat we took in for servicing as it had just started having trouble shifting. It cost us $1,000 to replace the carburetor but the service department explained that we'd now have a great quad now. We rode iit once, then went on vacation. Yesterday, we finally had a chance to use it again, and it won't start. What??? And even though it literally has MINUTES on it, they won't honor a warranty since it's just past 30 days. Wow. My husband and I are self-employed as well, and if we ran our businesses this way, we'd be out of business. Service did say we could drive the hour to bring it back in again, and 'if' it's their issue they'll reconsider but, let's face it, they're going to figure out a way to charge again. B*&"^@#%#.

I grew up in sacramento, CA. Had family in foothill farms cit heights since the early 1980s...im a huge fan of the yamaha brand grew up on fizzers, FZR600, yzf600R r6...i also easily make friends and longtime connections at other dealerships.... But CAPITOL YAMAHA has always just treated me with disrespect, horrid customer service FOR YEARS. Very high employee turnover and bad vibes here since 2009. I dont even know why. I even tried giving this place a chance a few times and ended up buying my sportbike across the street somewhere else. The sales and service department are rude and unwelcoming. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

We came by two days ago to check out a jetski for our trip this weekend to the lake met with David the sales guy who is knowledgeable and professional showed us the only 2 jet skis they had left in stock, asked him to move forward with the transaction and the service guy Mike who was claiming that he knows the owner of this place for the last 30 years since he was 16 was his right hand man and I thought cool seems like a nice guy ended up being rude, inconsiderate and a flat out liar. He stated that they would install the hitch and load up the new jetski on my wifes Denali and by the time we were done which was around 430, David states that he is going to check to make sure they can still install everything needed so we are prepped came back and stated that unfortunately they won't be able to install it and Mike stated that he wasn't going to be cause it was 104 degrees and I mentioned that we didn't think we were going to do this it was our very first experience in trying to purchase something like this and he states that's not the first time i've heard that, excuse me??? That was my first reaction. First of all they don't close until 6pm, 2nd of all you live in Sacramento, hello it gets hot buddy 3rd you guys ran my credit, got my kids excited and and your telling me your not going to get on the forklift to move the trailer because it's "hot" come on man and even offered to come out and help you state no the owner would not be okay with that but your owner would be okay with doing what you did? Say what you said? We walked out frustrated feeling extremely upset and irritated. David, if you are reading this you NEED TO LEAVE THAT DUMP OF A PLACE LIKE YESTERDAY! No one should ever walk into this place and spend a moment here and spend your hard earned money. Mike if you're reading this just know I am posting this on every social media platform, you should not be working there if you don't want to walk out in the heat. The owner should be ashamed for hiring your buddy not to work, your paying your friend to drive business away. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

First visit was good, the second, not so much. Tried to drop my bike of to have it looked at after talking to Mike the service manager. I show up after a 1.5-hour drive and see that I have a flat on the rear of my bike. Mike comes out and starts complaining about the flat, I guess it's my problem now! I guess I get to push it around the shop with a flat, on and on. I ride it to the service bay, so he won't have to push it with a flat. I walk in to get everything set up and he starts complaining more about the flat tire and how can they test ride it. I say maybe put air in it or fix the flat, it's there to have work done, I would think a tire repair or replacement is within the scope of work. I went in the sales area and Mike was at the counter, I asked to speak with the manage and he informed me that he was, other employes were there and he started acting like a totally different person, like he was super helpful and I just missunderstood him. I had enough and loaded my bike up. There are plenty of other shops out there that can fix a tire or push a bike in the shop with a flat. I've got several bikes, so they lost a lot of work.

Four hours of wasted driving due to sales dept. incompetence. I called Capitol last week several times to discuss buying a bike. On the last call, I gave my name, email address and phone number and reserved a bike. They said I could not buy it over the phone because they don't take credit cards for vehicles. I was very clear that I would be driving all the way up from San Francisco (a four hour round trip) so I wanted to be sure the bike was in stock. I was assured that it was all good and I could come pick it up.I duly drove to Sacramento, and the minute I walked in the door, the sales manager said "nope, we don't have any of that bike in stock actually, they are all sold." No record of me in the computer, no note that I was driving up to get one, no effort to figure out which employee had screwed me over, and barely an apology for wasting my day, more like a shrug and a "too bad for you." Sales manager basically chalked it up to the fact that he'd had the week off and the guy filling in must not have known what he was doing.I didn't rant and yell because it felt pointless, but I am writing this review to let people know that the customer service here is not to be trusted.

Mike in the service department wasn't truthful when confronted about breaking my air intake housing. They tried to fix it with a big blob of gue and never mentioned it to me. Instead, when I found out, they denied it and refused to buy a new part to make it right. They made it seem as though I broke it and was trying to pull something over on them. I have always taken my bike to Capital since I bought it there back in 2007. For Mike in service department lying about it and for giving unsatisfactory service, they lost my business. The owner was no help at all either. She just stood there with a stupid look on her face. I'll never go back.
