This is my holiday tradition to view Candy Cane Lane; I usually drive but decided to walk since it's near my home. The neighbors go all out to make their lane festive and jolly. I saw one home that wasn't all decked out, but the homes that participated were festive and full of holiday spirit. It was a much better view, as I took my time walking and taking in the sights and sounds of Christmas. One home had a holiday movie projecting from their front porch, the house at the end of the lane had their usually holiday figure cut outs, not my favorite but I'm sure the kids loved. This town tradition may be small but it's full of cheer each year. The tradition has been going strong since "1955". Till next year...

This is a fun neighborhood decked out for the holidays. Reminds me of a smaller version of Crippsmas Place in Fremont. You can drive or walk down the street and it is beautifully lit up. Themes range from Disney to Baby Jesus to even Suzy's Zoo! We even saw Pete the Cat, too!Get dinner to go and enjoy going down this street a few times.

Love, love, love! We've come here a few years now and never disappoints. Such a wonderful place to drive through or even take a stroll in. My kids are older but still love seeing these amazing Christmas decorations. Would make this an annual tradition!

December 20th, 2020 was our first time at Candy Cane Lane, and it did not disappoint! Our 2 year old is at that ripe age where he is able to take in experiences and remembers things, so bringing him around to different Christmas tree light displays was on the docket for this year.We drove in from the Stanley Blvd side, and the traffic was backed-up to the gas station on the corner of Ray and Stanley. No biggie, really. The wait to get in was about 5 minutes, and it moved quickly. The first house to your right at the entrance to Candy Cane Lane was decorated with the ever so infamous lampshade from A Christmas Story and cutouts of Ralphie and his brother in the front yard. Once you enter Walnut Street/Candy Cane Lane comes an array of uniquely decorated homes. This neighborhood did an amazing job of decorating, and truly put their heart and soul into making the season as bright and festive as possible.Due to the COVID pandemic, I'd highly recommend driving through as there was a lot of foot traffic. There were many signs displayed mandating mask wearing (and I'm sure social distancing), but I personally wouldn't have felt comfortable walking. Post pandemic, I'd highly recommend parking elsewhere then walking in. Happy Holidays, everyone!

Candy Cane Lane is definitely worth a visit if you're in the Pleasanton area. Practically every house on the cul de sac is decked out in lights, wooden cutouts, fake snow (bubbles), and other decorations. I especially like the one with the theme park rides - always a pleasure to see Pee Wee Herman on a Ferris wheel.Just be warned that parking is rough and there's not a lot to see here. You can be done in around 20 minutes if you really take your time.

Review #206 - 2020This was our first time visiting Candy Cane Lane & it was just by chance that we happened to be in the area on their opening night. We were grabbing soft serve at Meadowlark so the girls were already super excited to see all the lights nearby since the nearby houses were pretty nicely decorated.I then recalled that I had something bookmarked on my Facebook page regarding a Christmas lighting event, but I wasn't sure when or where it would take place.Luckily, it was only a few minutes walk away, but we decided to drive since it was too cold to walk.We showed up at around 5:15 PM on Saturday, December 5th, but the event didn't officially start until 5:30 PM so we were pretty much first in line. The lights weren't completely done, so we didn't get the full wow factor; but we still enjoyed it nonetheless.I truly appreciate the effort that this neighborhood put together to show the Christmas spirit, especially during this crazy time.Luckily, by the time we were done driving through, there were a ton of cars driving in so we got to view the place all to ourselves before the crowd rolled in.

Definitely a highlight of our Christmas adventures this year!We weren't sure whether to go here or just the neighborhood lights around Pleasanton. Decided to come here first since it's so famous. There were a line of cars going around the cul-de-sac also checking out all the houses, so we ended up driving slowly through with the traffic, which was nice. It gave it a more festive feel. We also played our own Christmas music from the car to fit the mood. Some houses were nice, some not that interesting, but since there were so many decorated houses, it made it quite entertaining. Afterwards, we still went to check out other houses in Pleasanton and sadly, those were quite disappointing.

This cute little cul de sac is located a few blocks over from downtown Pleasanton. I had found this address a few years ago while looking up light displays at lightsofthevalley.com. Upon arrival, was happy to see that everyone on the street takes part in the festivities. Back then it wasn't formally named, but visiting this year, it appears they've organized together as Candy Cane Lane. So many fun and creative displays that ranged from wooden cut out Disney characters, blow up figures, trees, and twinkling stars. Park near downtown, bundle up and walk on through after enjoying some dinner nearby. It's another fun and worth-a-visit community Christmas display. It's one street jam packed full of Christmas cheer-enjoy!

Cute neighborhood cul de sac Christmas display of lights. Very close to downtown Pleasanton, within walking distance. Some people walked through to see the light display and other people drove their cars slowly through. Worth coming by to check out the festive lights. Its pretty short, maybe 0.5 miles walking to go through the loop.

The people in the neighborhood go way out of their way to put up decorations. The Harvest Presbyterian Church was giving out free hot chocolate, tried to give them a donation and the refused. A nice family friendly event.
