Cal's Marine Power Center

While my boat looks like it came off the show room floor with updated engine package. They don't work on older boats.So I bought a couple of batteries that no one else seemed to stock. Still looking for a marine mechanic.

They worked with me to order a part. I made a mistake and had to give them a different number and they were very helpful. The part was supposed to be delivered on Friday and they said they would wait for me if it came in because they were going to close for three days, they were very cooperative and very helpful. I highly recommend them. Kelly.

My experience here was not good at all. Brought the boat in because the tachometer wasn't working properly and the blower kept tripping the breaker. I told them I believed it was a loose connection because the blower was fluctuating in power and the light was dim or off or on at times. It would also trip the breaker. They told me there was nothing wrong with the blower it ran for 2 hours and didn't trip. I told them to look at the light and see that it's fluctuating in brightness and you can hear the blower fluctuating in power. They told me it was working fine even though the light wasn't coming on all the way or would flicker. The tachometer they told me needed to be sent in for repair or replaced. Then they gave me estimates that shocked me almost $5,000 to replace bellows and hoses that I did not have a concern with. Also recommended I get a complete break overhaul for my trailer which was $2,000 to $4,000. They charged me 2 hours of labor. Fixed nothing. Ended up paying about $330 just to get out of there and fix it myself. And I'm not a mechanic! I would not recommend this place at all.

Do not take your boat here. Horrible service. We spent over $3000 only to have what was "fixed" not fixed, yet to have things that were working, not working when we picked our boat up. They wanted more money to fix this. Horribly disappointed.

I've taken my boat to Cal's for years now. They really want to get it right. They don't upsell. I've had intermittent issues with my trailer (those are the worst). Tim and the crew are patient and work out the problem. They give great suggestions to avoid issues. I really feel confident when my boat comes out.

*******BEST SERVICE EVER*************Okay, so as a business owner myself, I sure to love to brag about excellent service, just as we like to hear it as well. Brought our 2 year old pontoon boat to these guys, that we have had problems with since 6 weeks after we purchased it from the crooks at A smaller fishing boat, in Sacramento. WARNING, stay away from that place. Everyone at Cals was awesome from the start. From the gals in the office, to Trevor who lent an ear for about 20 minutes as we brought it in, to Tim who took it out on the water, when they were done, to make sure our baby was 100%, before we got it back. Runs like a champ!!! They kept in contact every day with an update and, even got us in within 2 days, boat back days later. Still able to enjoy the summer. I will never take my boats to anyone else, ever again. I am an avid boater, with many boating friends. They will all know where to take their boats from now on. Love these guys. I have had my boat to Cal's for regular service and a repair and have always had a good experience. However my last experience made me a customer for life. I had an alarm go off on my outboard as I was loading it on the trailer I brought it in and a few hours later the same day, they called to let me know the problem was fixed. When I got there they explained that the fuel hose had become hard and popped off the connector leading to the tank. They put on new connector fuel line and reattached. However, when I went to pay they did not charge me because I had been in there recently for a fuel issue and they couldn't know for sure that something may have happened to the line while in the shop. Had a great experience with Cal's Marine. They actually helped me diagnose an issue and answered a lot of questions. Ultimately, I was able to take care of the issue on my own, but Cal's was very patient with me and even said they were happy the boat is running great now. I do plan use Cal's for service in the future. The team there is great.
