Calmoto in Livermore has a lot to learn about the customer service side of business. I pulled up at 547 pm tonight and they closed at 6 pm. I was looking for a BMW bike for my son and man walked out screaming at me that this is not casino parking( note 580 Casino is next door). I couldn't hear him and said excuse me?? He was unbelievably rude and I will NEVER aspens $1 with them. I don't gamble but I moved my car because if I stayed things would have escalated. Learn how to talk to people-!!! I'll spend my money at Harley Davidson- it's not my fault your Business shares a building with a casino- LEARN MANNERS!!

First time ever buying a motorcycle and was dreading going into a dealership, assuming it would be as painful and excruciating as going into a car dealership.Was I wrong!! What a pleasure it was to deal with everyone at CalMoto, especially Arlie Ray who sold me my Vespa! Extremely nice, honest, knowledgeable, and I can truly say it was an amazing experience. Also interacted with Marles in the Service department, Anya in Finance, Mike (the owner) who delivered my Vespa himself, and Jeff in Service. What a great crew!! I just bought my first bike from David Y, here at CalMoto. As a novice, I didn't feel a single bit of uncertainty or regret walking in or out of the store. David asked me very specific questions about what I wanted and was looking into, and then helped me make that happen. Not once did I feel like I was being oversold or pitched at. I did my test drive and it simply came down to what I thought and felt. Mike helped with finishing touches on the purchase and I couldn't have asked for an easier process. Love this dealership !! My husband purchased K1600 GTL recently. The whole buying experience was very low pressure and enjoyable. Arlie and Huff were a pleasure to work with. They made sure that my husband understood all the bells and whistles of the motorcycle since it had been almost 25 years since he purchased his older BMWs and many perks had been added :) They make you feel like family. Highly recommend shopping here if looking for a motorcycle. They have all types. BMW even came out with a model that looks like a Harley but rides like a BMW.

I had my first experience here which concluded a few days ago. I worked with Jeff in service (awesome), briefly with Mike the owner (very nice guy) and Arlie Ray in sales (all-star). I ended up getting cold feet and not buying a new bike, but wanted to say a few words about my experience:I brought in my elderly R 1200 GS for service. Jeff was friendly, honest, knowledgeable, and just the kind of service advisor you genuinely trust. Had a terrific experience with him!I went inside to see about trading in the bike I had just serviced. I met Mike, the owner, and the guy was not only cool, but low pressure and very accommodating. Again, the kind of guy that clearly actually cares about the customer!Mike introduced me to a salesperson; Arlie Ray. I generally don't get along with salespeople. I don't like being pressured. That said, I sincerely doubt anyone who has met Arlie Ray has ever had a problem with him. Very cool, very funny, very interesting, low pressure guy. He clearly was more concerned with me getting the right ride than making a sale. He also gave my pup a bowl of water without being asked, which was pretty cool!Like I said, I ended up getting cold feet and decided to keep what I have, but when those feet warm up I will go straight to CalMoto for my next bike. We have a lot of places to choose from in the Bay Area but I would suggest starting here. It's nice to be treated with respect!Nice job, and thank you to your team!

I ordered set of paniers for my BMW F900XR from Calmoto Livermore. It took some time to arrive and was informed at arrival to be installed by owner as a fairly standard process. I picked delivery and tried to install myself but found the parts were incorrect. I informed dealership about issues with install and was clarified it is simple process and ended up retrying another time to which dealership agreed to take a look. I brought paniers and bike to dealership but after an hour of struggle, their technician accepted the parts for installation were older model parts and incorrect for this model. New parts were identified and ordered and took time to arrive. upon arrival few weeks later, I was called to install, we fixed the new paniers but the assembly looked Loosey-Goosey as after few attempts of tightening and re-tightening the paniers were little loose to my attempt to move them around. Anyway, I accepted the way this was and was asked to pay for parts that were ordered. I resisted but was told by owner itself that there was nothing that can be done. this is how everyone pays for their additional parts even though it was BMW parts/order/shipping mistake but they would not take the tab for it. Labor/Cost was adjusted half with me which was still over $100 for basic plastic pieces which would cost 5 bucks if available online. I paid for it and went for first long ride over weekend in rain. during this trip one pannier started to leak in rain water and soaked my clothes and bag entirely. There was 3 inches of water inside the panier. I brought it back to dealership as they said they would fix it first. then they called and said it was not repairable and were going to order a replacement for it. I requested to return it as there were so many issues with it and took so much time for basic assembly. so asked Calmoto very firmly to return this as I dont think it is a good product and parts were flimsy and after so many issues. It took a while to get a reply back, I received the call from owner to pick up new panier as return was not acceptable to owner. I requested in that case a price break. Between Calmoto and BMW this should be addressed as there were multiple levels of issues with this established product and parts and was not acceptable at the cost of what i paid for this. Total cost to me was around 1500. Paniers are still with Calmoto and i have received no additional contact or info on this. Paniers were ordered in 2023 and its going to be year soon and paniers have been with Calmoto all of this time. additionally, i ordered 2nd set of keys for my bike and was faced with similar issues with key delivered late and with issues that it was not programmed and would not work. I picked up key on way back from office (out of way) and it turned out that it was not programmed and had to bring it back and leave it for few weeks. My resolution would be to return this or further discount this because of substandard product, parts and installation experience.

Ordered fairing for damaged bike. Never gave me any information on status of order and even whether the fairing was available. After waiting 8 weeks for repair, I decided to cancel the fairing order and take the damaged fairing to a custom painter. When I picked up repaired bike without the fairing the bill included a fairing. They told me the fairing arrived. The refused to provide a full refund and charged me shipping and deducted 25% for a restocking fee which was never disclosed to me. My attorney is pursuing legal action to recover all monies due. Avoid doing business at this place.
