Lovely park and gardens in Niles, quite small, but cool to explore the different features. Vallejo Adobe was closed on a Saturday late afternoon, but the outdoor area was still interesting to view. The boxed tree forest had a charming pathway to walk along with a few benches nearby, and the fruit tree orchard blended in with the scenery nicely, lots of green and plenty of leafy trees to wander through in April. But my favorite part was easily the Niles Rose Garden, which is located to the right when you drive underneath the CNHP sign at the entrance on Niles Blvd and Nursery Ave. Before you even reach the large parking lot, you can already see the beautiful flowers, roses, trees, and even the cute little windmill. This enchanting garden is not to be missed if visiting the California Nursery Historical Park, and a much more appealing area for picnicking too.

I think a lot of people don't know about this park in Fremont! They've been doing a lot of work around here. The flower garden is really pretty and there's a lot of shade, benches, and picnic tables. There's also some big grassy areas to run around on. I recommend checking out this park when it's a nice day out. Lots of history here, too!

See this park every time I go to Union city, finally I decided to visit, it's a hidden gem in Fremont, beautiful rose garden and lot of beautiful flowers and plants, many species of roses, magnolia, calla lily and a giant cactus. It's so beautiful. Don't forget to visit the boxed trees and other plants. Lot of flowers pollen, if you have allergies, please wear mask

This is decent size park with several areas that offer nice photo opportunities. Also, there are fruit trees scattered throughout and if you visit during the right season, the fruit is delicious, especially the loquats. There are also buildings and areas that can be rented for special events. Wonderful walking paths are located throughout the park. There's a cute windmill with a rose garden and a small cactus garden nearby. You can always find something interesting to take a picture of, whether it's a bridge, a tree with uniquely curved branches, an area dotted with wildflowers, or an orchard full of ripen fruit. It is definitely a park that I find enjoyable for a quiet morning walk and a great place for contemplation and reflection.

First time at the historical nursery park. Finished renovation in 2022. Beautiful roses and flowers in bloom! Lots of lovely photo ops among roses, large towering boxed trees lane, historical orchard, buildings from original nursery. Great for walk on sunny day.

This is a unique combination park/museum that welcomes dogs! There are bathrooms and plenty of drinking fountains in the park. Several historic buildings remain, and there is a cactus and rose garden. A locked area houses what appears to be a community garden. Most of the paths are paved. We walked by a small forest of trees in planters, which is something I have never seen in a park before. It is a fine place to take a stroll with your four-legged friends!

I didn't know this existed in Fremont. I saw it as I was going down Niles to meet a friend for brunch at Skillet'z. After brunch, we took a stroll down to explore the park. It was very beautiful. Not many people were around the park so it was quiet and pieceful. It was nice to be surrounded by nature. There were benches scattered around the park, which pleasant to see in case people want to sit down and admire the beauty of the park. Highly recommend walking the park, especially after brunch ;)

Lots of plants, trees, flowers and very tall cactus everywhere. Some tiny lizards are running in the plants. Overall this park is old, small and boring. Literally nothing to see here. Almost no one is here on a sunny Sunday.

This park is a hidden gem. The park still retains some historic features of the old nursery 1884-1970 like the display garden, the lawn, and many old trees. Interpretive boards have been added. The little history museum may be open on Sundays. Send email to [email protected] to be sure. The city recently upgraded the paths to the back so it is accessible for wheelchairs, bikes, and other wheeled devices.Volunteers maintain the office/museum gardens on Thursdays 10-12. LEAF community garden is located here as well.

Smaller than expected, we finished in about 30 minutes after extensively walking as much of the grounds as we could. We did go during Covid so the adobe wasn't open. There were some weird people there early in the morning, one said Hi and seemed like he wanted to be left alone, the other seemed to be following/watching us from a distance. This seems to be a great place for residents who are local to go for morning walks, dog walks, and go somewhere quiet without a lot of people. I would not recommend coming here just for this park but it could be nice as a fast stop before heading to downtown Niles. It did feel like an old nursery based on the size of some of the trees and plants, we liked seeing the really tall palm tree and we also liked seeing some of the mini habitats with interesting mixtures of different plants. We also liked seeing the community garden that was clean and well maintained.
