Our family of 7 had the most relaxing, drama-free, long weekend vacation ever. Snow right outside the door so that the kids could play and the parents could watch from the warm kitchen table! There was no need to leave the cabin but there is plenty to do if you did. We left for Mia's Pizza one night and just ate on site the second night. This was our second trip to Cabins at Strawberry and we can't wait to come back again.

Incredibly disappointed in my Experience. My wife twin sister was admitted to the emergency room with a serious unexpectantly before our reservation. We called in advance to try to reschedule but we're able to be accommodated and lost out of $200 while dealing with the grief of a loved one in serious care. Hopefully everyone else experience is better

My wife and I stayed here on a Thursday night - just the 2 of us. We called from Bridgeport to try to find dog-friendly lodging. Which we did here in Strawberry. The cabins are really spacious - we counted beds for 12 / 1 bathroom / nice kitchen and a good sized (and safe) deck with bbq. Stanislaus River either below the property or across the road. General store on the corner - bar-restaurant across the street. Up the hill about 300 yards is a Forest Service gate where you can hike and also access the river / walk the dogs.Martha is very accommodating and was waiting for us to arrive - she had already opened the cabin, doors and windows and left the key inside. We really felt at home. We'll come back - and we'll bring some friends next time...and the dogs :)Rumor is the pool will be done for next season - if that's important to you then check back for that. In the meantime, the river is a great option and there are 'pools' where the kids can swim.

OK, just spent a summer weekend up there. Just as awesome as the winter!! The owners are cool with dogs (as long as its not a man or dog eater). Very clean and I like that they have a Weber to cook off of. Normally we camp up there, but this time we decided to take it easy and be a bit cleaner. We watched Toy story on opening night at Pine Crest with my family, sister-in-law and kids, and my sister and her kids. Only complaint are the toilets. Flush often when doing the deuce... Another memorable trip that WE ACTUALLY HAD FUN AND DIDN'T"T YELL AT EACH OTHER!! Thanks again Cabins @ Strawberry. LOVE IT.

Love this place. We made a last minute reservation and were welcomed with open arms. Lynn was accommodating and very sweet. Our cabin was clean and very large. We had a wonderful time and can't wait to come back.

These cabins were recommended to me by a co-worker. He comes every year and he is always talking about how nice it is. I made a reservation for mid February, and believe me we were pleasantly supersized how huge and clean these cabins are. You get a nice gas fireplace, a deck, full kitchen with all your supplied (just bring your food). For the price it is a deal! We are going to come back every year!

Husband & I didn't stay in the Cabins @ Strawberry but we fished nearby and had an opportunity to walk up the banks from the river to check out the cabins above. Met the owners (forgot his name, maybe Tim?) and they're adorable cat, ToeJam (because she's got 6-7 toes on each foot). Turns out these cabins are GORGEOUS inside, there is no rustic charm here, they're fully updated and set right in the middle of the trees (although the drive up and around is all paved, looks much like Condo's in the Bay Area - bit of a turn off, yet still very pretty). Not to mention the off-season rates are phenomenal ($129 per night) vs. $140+ across the street at The Rivers Resort. We definitely want to stay here sometime... I encourage folks to check them out. Very nice.

Absolutely horrible customer service. I called to reschedule my reservation due to the current fire concerns with where I live and expanding evacuation zones and for the fact that I saw a fire on map close to Strawberry. The person on the phone got very angry with me and started to berate me and was completely unprofessional. He started being rude to me about the fact that I am causing him to lose 30% of his paycheck. I was not allowed to reschedule and was out the deposit (which I understand due to their rules but I don't get why I wasn't allowed to reschedule). I was shocked that they would not allow for me reschedule and quite frankly after being treated so rudely I would not want to reschedule. It's not like I could plan for a fire to happen 30 days close to my home before my scheduled trip if I wanted to reschedule. Excuse me for wanting to play it safe especially with how these past few summers in California have been. I did not expect to get yelled at by the male representative at this establishment. Horrible horrible customer service.
