"Today I returned to the Queen Bean after an absence of many years. I didn't intentionally "stop going" as much as it is not on my daily/weekly routes around town. So this was a special trip for lunch. I ordered the Tuscan sandwich and a Cafe Americano. The ordering process was smooth, the barista said she would bring it out to me, which she did in a reasonable amount of time, even though I had gone outside (there were no seats inside and the front porch seemed a bit warm. The sandwich was well made and the ingredients plentiful and flavorful. I could only eat half as there was that much. I also ordered a bag of jalapeno chips, which were so greasy I was glad that I hadn't used hair gel and now had some place to put the lipids. (The chips were not the fault of the QB, just the dummy who ordered them.)My only comment is that I hope they fix the noisy window AC unit, which impeded my ability to hear the sirens and oversized trucks on Needham revving their engines (this is Modesto after all). Actually, it was a nice lunch, served by nice folks who work for even nicer folks. I may well be back soon, I can't wait for the back decks to be repaired so there is more seating."
"Blown away by this lovely winery. Looked them up on Google and booked a reservation for my birthday. We actually showed up over an hour early but they were able to adjust the reservation and help us right away. They tasting are at the bar, you stand as theirs aren't any barstools. You can move to the tables or big leather chairs if you get a glass, bottle or food. The tasting was $20 for your choice of 5 wines listed on their tasting menu. Let me tell you, each one was better than the previous! I was blown away at how much I enjoyed the wines and the service was absolutely amazing. The sweet lady pouring for us hears it was my birthday so she poured two glasses of brut for my mom and I to toast and she comped a little scoops of sorbet. After our tasting, we ordered two glasses of the malbec, a MUST try and two bottles to take home. We also ordered food and sat in the big leather chairs by a fire. We ordered deviled eggs and a salmon tartine. The deviled eggs were delicious and the salmon was amazing! The toast was loaded and I loved the flavor of everything all together. We did end with the pomegranate sorbet cuz why not. We had such a lovely afternoon here and if I wasn't already a meaner elsewhere I would have signed up. Oh well, guess I'll be making another trip out. Thank you much OF for an amazing way to spend my birthday."
"Omg where to begin. We had a blast at the brunch. We arrived on time which is key to the reservation. Upon checking in, you are seated and immediately asked if you would like beverages then served. Then told we're able to go get food from the line. Omg they have a variety of food and desserts. I don't think we ate anything that was not good. The service is impeccable and the staff are so friendly. The staff comes around regularly and checks on you and refills the mimosas. After eating we toured the premises and even had a refill to walk around with. I don't think anyone at the mansion left unhappy. We had a blast and can't wait to come back."
"Ordered to go. They have great staffs! They forgot my lemon berry cake and they gave me a call right away. I've went back nearly two weeks later to pick up another slice of cake because I live across town and couldn't make it near that area. I would definitely order from here again or dine in."
"This location used to be Dhaba (which we loved) and then after they closed, we would visit the other Dhaba location on Grant line. But I wondered what the next business would be here.We placed a phone order which was a bit of a challenge because I think perhaps the person on the other end had a hearing issue or something as hubby kept having to repeat himself but was incredibly patient with them. Upon entering, it was lunch time. The layout inside looks exactly how Dhaba did. Not much changed there. The guy who brought out our food was friendly and kind.Lunch buffet goes for $22. Seems a bit steep for lunch but perhaps would've been the better option considering we paid $50 for 2 adults for the following items and portions were small.Butter chicken (1/5)Chicken Tikka Masala (4/5)Saffron Rice (5/5)Garlic Naan (4/5)The Butter chicken missed the mark for us completely. The heat was there however:1) It kid you not, it only had 6 SMALL pieces of chicken :( the size of a tater tot. The container was 99% sauce. 2) We've had many butter chickens in our life however the sauce was swimming in butter/oil, to the point where we could see the oil globs forming and wasn't appetizing at all. I feel we got punk'd with this dish. The chicken tikka came in the same container style as the butter chicken. This one had a better serving of chicken but not a lot either. The saffron rice was not included with the main dishes and the portion was small but was very delicious in flavor. The garlic naan was pretty good too.Overall I was disappointed with the portion sizes. Our Indian food order is usually 2 mains (1 must be butter chicken), rice, garlic naan, and samosas. We ALWAYS had leftovers for the next day for 2 adults. We did not have any leftovers with this place. I hope they take this and improve on the portions of their chicken."

Definitely a great place to get your brew. The menu is simple, and the vibe is chill. Highly recommend the Peppermint Mocha they had for the holidays, and for the regular menu, The Clubhouse, hot or iced, is fantastic. The food selection is OKAY - like if you're a pastry kind of person, you'll be happy, especially since the supplier is also a small business! Don't let the small selection of snacks deter you though after all, you come here for COFFEE and TEA, and these baristas knock that out of the park. This also a prime spot for local artists - they change out the artists every month, so there is a variety, and I can't tell you how much that means to me as a fellow artist that they offer this for the community. I love Modesto's humble and down-to-earth art scene - WAY better than some snobby "art" places in The Bay or SoCal that are just in it for the money. Major props to Prez for being a rockstar in that aspect.

A bunch of us got together there for the wine and chocolate event. Oak Farms never disappoints. They seem to have every base covered and done very well!

3.5 stars but rounding to 4This was my second time here for the Sunday champagne brunch. It is $49.95 per person, which went up $10 since the last time I was there. Make your reservations early because if you're booking the week of, there's a high chance there won't be any availability. It gets fully booked quick! Refer to their website for their brunch dates as they might not have it every Sunday due to events. We were seated promptly and immediately started off with some mimosas. They have pastas, breads, salads, and lots of desserts. The star of the buffet is really the prime rib! Everything else was just okay. After the meal, you can walk around the mansion and explore the rooms and different floors. The outside is so beautiful and picturesque. It's a great wedding venue and has several areas for photo ops. The location is in the middle of nowhere and definitely out of the way, especially if you're coming from the Bay Area. You have to drive through narrow roads with potholes and cracks. Parking lot at the front is very tight and limited parking. There is more in the back and on the side of the streets but you'll have to walk further. I do recommend trying the brunch at least once for the experience.

A couple weekends before Christmas, my family had our holiday gathering. Our meal plans fell through and we had to place a large order through Door Dash unexpectedly. Not only was Strings able to accommodate us on short notice, but the food was outstanding. The salad was fresh and the dressing delish! All the pasta dishes we had were amazing. Even the bread was fantastic. Thank you, Strings, for saving our family gathering. We will be back to dine in or order door dash again.

This review is just based on the driving range and practice area. I have not played the actual course yet, but I will make an update to this review when I do. Price: 4/5The price here is very reasonable for a bucket of balls compared to other courses in the area. A large bucket of 90 balls is $10. A small bucket is $6. You can pay by credit card at the machine or you can purchase a ticket in the pro shop. Range: 2/5The actual range is where my lower rating is coming from. This range is uphill and there is a huge dirt patch right in the main area of the range, making it more difficult to see where your ball lands. There are no flags on the markers and no signs or indicators on how far each marker is. The driving range mats are fairly worn down also. However, there is a shaded area over most of the mats, and the area around is nice. Practice greens/chipping area: 4/5The practice greens are nice and they are located just behind the driving range. They were a little wet and soggy when I went out here, but I'm sure it is not like that all time. Regardless, it was still nice and I enjoyed it. Parking/Area: 5/5There is a lot of parking around the range and the pro shop. It is easy to find. It is nestled along the hills of lime ridge and nice park is right near by if you have kids you want to bring there after playing.

I have been eating Eddie's pizza since I was little. Grew up eating at the south side location and it has always been a favorite place to get our pizza craving in. I have been a frequent flyer at this location on Ben Holt since I've moved more North until now. My cousin had ordered pizza to be delivered and they delivered a pizza with maggot eggs on it! All the other pizzas we had gotten were fine except this one. We're highly disappointed because we have never had a complaint against this place.

"I played Boundary yesterday after a 20+ year layoff from this course. I stopped playing here due to the course being overplayed and in rough condition. A buddy said I had to try it again as the conditions were improved. I am going to agree, I thought the course was in reasonable condition for being a city owned course. The holes are challenging, the greens were in good shape, the fairways were good, but the tee boxes on the par 3's were alittle rough. Being in the foothills with every hole having views of the surrounding hills was great. I think this course is a great value."
"This restaurant is so nice! I see why people get married here. I was a little worried I was underdressed but they have a very chill atmosphere. Tonight they have a comedy show and a 2 for $13 shots special. The service was wonderful!"
"I had a great experience at Eddie's Pizza! I ordered the Chicken Barbecue, and my boyfriend got the Chicken Artichoke. Both pizzas were large and tasty. The service was quick, which we appreciated. The place was a bit messy due to the crowd and kids, but that's understandable in such a busy spot. Overall, a solid choice for delicious pizza! We'll be back!"
"The chef has made some wonderful changes to the menu and the weekly specials have been delicious. Had the fish and chips yesterday, it was on the weekly specials! Please keep on the menu, they were delicious The staff is incredible, especially Roger in the bar! Hope they get busier soon!"
"My best friend (wife) and I played Mather Golf Course for the first time in over three years. We met two our friend there and had a great time. The folks in the pro-shop were helpful, courteous and efficient despite being very busy that morning. The golf course itself was in good condition despite the CA drought and wildfire related smoky skies. My girl played from the forward tees and noted several times that she did not get much/if any advantage except for one or two holes on both the front and back nine. From my perspective, the few advantages she received with respect to yardage, more than made up for the fact that most of the other holes were equally spaced out.The pace of play was good. Sand trapes could use new sand or a little more racking. Some very wet spots were noted but hard to avoid in the extremely hot weather and ""green"" fairways""."
