"Thai Me Up has excellent food! Ive only been here twice, but both visits were great. I am no expert on Thai cuisine, but I know delicious when I taste it, LOL. The restaurant was clean and the staff were nice on each visit. Thai Me Up is an easy recommendation. Give them a try!"
"Came here on a Thursday night and it was pretty chill with some groups of people. The decor of the restaurant is really nice and cute. The server was very friendly and took my order quickly. I ordered the chicken satay and the yellow curry. It took a few mins to get my order but it was worth the wait. I really like the taste of the satay as well as the amount they offer and the yellow curry was super tasty and they put in alot of meat and veggies. Overall very tasty and I'll definitely come back"

"I was in the area and we needed to blow some time. When we decided to get lunch with that free time, my boyfriend decided this place. Please excuse me but OMFG!!!! The food was fantastic! So fantastic I'm mad I can't get this closer to where we live. Restaurant wasn't crowded and very clean. Very spacious inside with plenty of seating. They keep the episode of Diners Drive Ins and Dives they were featured on in rotation. We ordered:Coconut shakeKao poonLaap chickenCrab fried riceCoconut shake was perfect. Cold, creamy and perfect amount of coconut. Very refreshing!Laap chicken had great flavor but just a little too much cilantro for me. Great portion size tho.Crab fried rice. Probably the best fried rice I've ever had. No imitation crab used in this. Now for the star of the show...KAO POON!!! Whatever this recipe is, is beyond amazing. It's that type of dish that makes you happy dance. Every bite got better and better. Now that I've had it, I'm upset that Green Papaya is so far from my house and I can't have it every week."
"We stopped here based on Yelp! high ratings and were not disappponted. I had the pumpmin curry with sticky rice. It was very good. She had Laos sausage, and though tasty, it was a little spicier than she could handle. The owner or chef came out of the kitchen to see how things were. We were impressed. That the rice was also included with our dishes was a good value."
"5 stars from me... from the service, the Thai tea and pad Thai everything was wonderful. The staff was beyond attentive and friendly. The portions are generous (had so much left over). I've been searching for a good Thai place in town and was striking out left and right. So glad my cousin introduced me to this place. I already can't wait to go back!"
"This is my go-to Thai restaurant. The place itself is located in a well-kept small shopping strip - it is clean and spacious inside. It is a casual place to dine with friends and family - and they can accommodate groups. They always have lots of people ordering to go as well. This family-run business always gives excellent service. They are very polite and work so hard to ensure you have exactly what you need. The food is fresh, delicious and comes out quickly. It is the best Thai place in the area. They also offer several gf dishes! I never get any pictures because we always just dive right in. My staples are the spring rolls - it comes with 6 and the best peanut sauce I've ever tasted (I think they make it from scratch). I love their Tom Yum Kai soup - you need to order it Thai style...sooo good! And the pad sweet and sour hits the spot! I've ordered multiple other dishes, but those are my go to. I almost always have leftovers as the portions are a good-size, so I get to enjoy the food another day. Come try it! The food is fresh, delicious and healthy- your taste buds will be happy!"
"My Chinese parents LOVE to eat Chinese food. One evening, I encouraged them to be adventurous, so we went out for Thai food!We ordered: Satay ChickenPineapple Fried RicePad Thai with PrawnsPanang CurryThey thought everything was nicely presented, and tasted good, but Chinese food is still their favorite cuisine. Any recommendations for next time?"

Delicious!! Love this spot in Stockton located on the miracle mile. The service is fast, the food is amazing, and the vibe is chill! My go to is always the chicken pad Thai and a Thai iced tea but everything I've seen from here looks so good! The restaurant is a good size and the service is always fast and attentive. I've never experienced exaggerated customer service here (bubbly and happy), but the staff is so attentive that you forget about the lack of smiles. I've never experienced rude waitresses, rather they're always helpful and patient. If you are ever in town, you have to visit this restaurant! Will I be back? Absolutely!

Are y'all freakin' kidding me?! This is one of the best Lao and Thai restaurants I have ever tried in Northern California! This one is going to be long so bare with me.A M B I A N C EIt's a huge open space that feels mostly casual but also very modern for this type of cuisine. The space is not overly decorated and there are not a lot of trinkets lying around, but you can sense the minimalist style upon walking in. Simple yet inviting, comfortable and yet not overbearing. The dining hall is a huge open space in which crowds large or small can get situated for a group or solo eating experience.F O O DAlright, this is where it gets fun. We read the Yelp reviews and were convinced this is a joint to check out while in Stockton. I have girlfriends that are Stocktonians and shared that it is a spot worth checking out given that I'm from the Bay Area, and our standards for food of all cuisines can be a bit selective. Our party of four ordered the following to share --* LAAP BEEF ($14.50)Ground beef and beef tripe, garnished with green onions and cilantro.* CRAB FRIED RICE ($17.50)Eggs, crab meat, butter, garlic, green onions, and cilantro* TOM YUM SOUP (SHRIMP) ($15.95)Hot and sour soup with lemongrass, ginger, kaffir leaves, mushrooms, pineapples, onions, tomatoes and garnished with cilantro, green onion -- served with lime wedges, Thai chilli peppers, and a side of steamed rice.* PAPAYA SALAD ($9.90)Shredded papaya, tomatoes, Thai chilli peppers, sugar, lime juice, and mixed with your style of flavor + spice [Lao, Thai, or Vegan). We chose LAO style which is described on the menu as, with fermented fish, crab, and shrimp paste with strong flavors.* SPICY LAO SAUSAGE ($13.50) Pork, Thai chili, lemongrass, shallots, onions, kaffir like leaves -- served with jeow som (dipping sauce). Contains Fish Sauce and Oyster Sauce (cannot substitute). That was the perfect spread for a party of four! Every single dish had its own distinctive flavor and represented the composition of the signature dishes extremely well. I love how the papaya salad really celebrated the Lao style of the dish and did not disappoint with the amount of spice and fermented fish sauces. My niece loved the Beef Laap and shared she was so impressed with the rice powder seasoning and the added beef tripe for extra texture. The crab fried rice was exceptional and had the right hints of crab bites along with complimenting seasoning. We could all tell the Spicy Lao sausages were made in-house by one of the Aunties in the kitchen as there was a homemade and yet traditional twist to every bite. Tom Yum soup is generally tastes almost the same at every restaurant but these guys didn't let up, and made sure the soup that is put out remains unique from local competitors -- the herbs, kaffir lime leaves, and all other additions were very prominent with every bit. We absolutely enjoyed every single bite of our lunch!S E R V I C EWe all have basic expectations of service while dining at a restaurant: courteous, professional, consistent, friendly, hospitable, etc.Let me tell y'all, this team over delivered and under promised! Every single team member assisted each other on waiting tables -- sort of like "pass the baton" style. It was a collective effort and we really felt that throughout our time dining in the restaurant. No one was territorial about which tables were covered or made guests feel uncomfortable -- they all just wanted to ensure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. Truly impressive all around.B O N U SThis restaurant was featured on the Food Network and for good reason! They offered some Thai Tea sampling and their signature dish of NAM KAO which is described on the menu as, "Crispy flavored rice mixed with fermented pork, cilantro, green onions, peppers -- served as a lettuce wrap with mint, cilantro stalks, ginger, dried chili, peppers, peanuts, and lime." Now, that's a special treat if you have never tried and, this was one of their signature dishes featured on the Food Network! All in all, this restaurant is a whole experience. Whether you're a local resident in the great city of Stockton or simply passing through, make it a point to stop in at Green Papaya to treat yourself to some of the best Lao and Thai influenced food in the area.

10/10 I'm so happy we found this gem!!! We came here for an early Saturday dinner and sat ourselves. The staff were super friendly and attentive. We tried the garlic ribs appetizer, red curry Lao noodle soup with chicken, and pad see ew with chicken and tofu. The ribs were super sticky and flavorful, the portion size was appetizer appropriate. The red curry noodle soup was my favorite! It was so creamy and the noodles weren't soggy. We even took the last bits of soup home with us . The pad see ew was also amazing but on the sweeter side. The veggies were cooked perfectly and spice level can be adjusted. We already can't wait to come back!

Best Thai place we have found in the Central Valley. A hidden gem in a stripmall in the outskirts of Modesto. We have tried the Panang Curry, Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Potstickers, Eggplant Chicken and more, all delicious! Definitely recommend!

Perhaps the best Thai restaurant in the Valley. A real hidden gem for a food desert like Stockton. It's simply good authentic Thai food at a good price. The balance of savory, sweetness and sourness in their entrees are perhaps some of the best Thai cooking I've had. I've eaten here several times in 2024 and it's consistently good. Even the quality of the ingredients is good for the price. The crab fried rice is the BEST crab fried rice I've ever had at any Thai restaurant. Seriously! And simple things like the appetizer pork belly is simple yet delicious because it's done right. The only complaint I do have is the sautéed beef within their entree dishes-it's not as tender or chard as I'd like it to be(hence the 4 star rating). The chicken tends to do better in their entree dishes. Therefore, I truly hope they improve on the quality of their beef! Compared to other Thai places in Stockton, Tracy and the Valley-this has to be the best in terms on taste, quality, consistency and price. Props to the elder Thai lady cooking the food. A true cook!

This place was great. We ordered take out and got the following: Mongolian beef: 10/10 and all I will be ordering moving forward. It was fantastic. Eggrolls: 6/10, a little too thick and I believe had mushrooms (not a fan in the eggrolls) Pad Thai: 7/10. We got two orders of this, no spice and spicy. No spice lacked flavor (probably my fault for getting no spice), and the spicy was good.

"This place is amazing. The wings are so flavorful and delicious! The spring rolls with the peanut sauce were absolutely delicious! I can't even express how good these appetizers are. The egg rolls are OMG for lack of a better word. You have to get the beer because it ties everything together. Smooth!"
"First visit since the pandemic, and I'm glad to say that nothing has changed. We ordered the fried calamari while waiting for the rest of our group to arrive. It arrived hot and crispy. I ordered something simple, pad thai with chicken. Mixed everything up when I got my plate, tastes great! The staff working were very nice. We'll be back!"
"Many years ago, a Thai-Chinese couple moved into the town where I lived and they opened a Thai take out restaurant. They had many interesting items on the menu, but I really liked the Pad Prik khing , which is what I ordered tonight through DoorDash.Back then, they made the food what I call "melt-your-ears" spicy. I ordered this one "Hot", which seemed to be the 4th most spicy. I also ordered a Thai iced coffee because it's been a while since I've had more than DeeDee's coffee packets. I also ordered steamed rice.Prik Khing is a dish that I expect to be simple and delicious. I ordered vegetarian because I need more protein and less meat. This one was very colorful. It wasn't spicy, for me, anyway. It had a good taste and I think I'll eat it with beef next time, and ask for something more spicy. Perhaps, I'll go into the restaurant. The Sticky RIce was not easy to eat and I ended up throwing out most of it. It was fairly expensive for the little, hard scoop. The iced coffee was worth it and made me smile.I need to go to the restaurant and try the Tom Yum soup and more. There are very few real Thai restaurants in the area, so this one is useful and the food is good."
"We have never actually sat inside as we usually order food to go. The restaurant itself is definitely outdated, dark and maybe not the cleanest..... however the food was all delicious and I actually feel your portion size is much larger when you eat there then take it to go. The service was great and the food to me has been pretty consistent from day one."
"Good chicken soup, great service, very nice staff and clean restaurant. So much to select from there meanu"
"Service - pleasant and attentiveQuiet restaurant, not much of a vibeFood - 5 starsWok hei was definitely there for the pad see ew. So good. Also got the chicken satay which was yummy!"
"This was my first time here and I was pleasantly surprised. It's one of those small hole in the wall places that surprises you with good food! We got the combo meat chow mein, chicken potstickers, shrimp tempura and for dessert the mango sticky rice. The chow menu was super flavorful and I can't say enough about the mango sticky rice. The potstickers and shrimp tempura were delicious. I'll be back for sure!"
"The restaurant was very clean and modern looking. The servers were very nice! They kept our waters full throughout our dinner and they brought out delicious, hot food. I got the chicken pad Thai. It was delicious. We also got spring rolls and roti with yellow curry. It was all very very good! I look forward to going back again soon."
"The best soup when you're feeling under the weather. Ordered through door dash and they separated all the ingredients from the broth. Will definitely order again!"
