"We went to Midgely's Public House on December 23rd to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is located in Lincoln Village in Stockton and the entire area was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I booked a reservation through Open Table and check-in was simple and easy. The lady who checked us in also wished us a Happy Anniversary which was nice!The hostess took us to a table that wasn't clean, but we stood by waiting while she quickly bussed and cleaned it. This was a little strange since the restaurant was empty and there were plenty of booths and tables available. Our server, was great - very attentive and friendly. My husband and I ordered a dozen oysters which were superb, flavorful and good sized. I had a Bailey's coffee and my husband ordered a crisp Savignon Blanc. We shared a French Onion soup (perfection) and each ordered the house ribeye steaks which were nicely done. For dessert, we split a creme brulee which was delicious.We had a great time and will definitely be back. The Happy Hour menu and specials looked pretty good and we're excited to try it!"

"I've been here countless times and realized I had not given this establishment a review. This is my go to spot for birthdays, Mother's Day etc... The owner Jason is very personable. Brian is in charge and he runs the house smoothly. The food has never failed to satisfy. The shaved potatoes, shrimp chili and the tempura green beans are the best. The lobster ravioli and the Alfredo's are also really good. For lunch, I love the crispy chicken sandwich, that's not on the dinner menu. They have a full bar, they have your typical drinks, your wines, beers and non alcoholic beverages. The ambiance is dressy/casual. It can get a bit loud sometimes but not enough to be disruptive, more people enjoying each others company. A bonus: 5 miles from my house!!!"
"2-1-25...7:30pmAs soon as you walk in your greeted with a welcoming hello and then your eyes are fixated on the fresh steaks & lobster to choose from in the glass case. Immediately you see the grill and here the sizzle from the steaks being prepared. I sat in the bar area next to the ohh so warm fire place that was a blaze. Ordered a blended strawberry margarita & the steak and prawns plate. The ambiance definitely has an ole skool vibe to it. Service was great. I will for sure stop by this steakhouse again"
"The food is good. I ordered 14 oz rib eye medium rare. Very good with onion and mushroom as toppings. The service is good. They're very prompt to items asked and they will check what you need frequently.The thing I don't like the most is there are flying flies throughout the course. That's really bothersome."

I recently had a great dinner experience at Midley's Public House with my girls! I really appreciated the option to make a reservation online, which made planning our night easy.The only hiccup was that our server mixed up my order with my friend's. I initially thought my ribeye steak was overcooked, but it turned out that I had received her steak instead. I ordered mine medium rare, but even though the steak I got was well done, it wasn't as dry as I expected, and I still found it quite satisfying. The portion was very filling, and I couldn't resist finishing my whole plate. The potatoes were delicious too! Overall, despite the mix-up, I had a lovely time and enjoyed my meal. I would definitely recommend Midley's for a fun night out!

Everything was delicious. The food melted like butter. I got the prime rib. My other half got the salmon. Service was quick. The lighting was great. Dark but nice lights. Go if you want to be happy and eat great food.

Great food and great customer service! Jason and Jenn assisted us for dinner and I must say the food was delicious. Steak came out perfect and seafood pasta was excellent. A must try indeed. Thank you to the whole staff.

I miss ray and his staff, I moved back to Santa Cruz.That was by far my favorite restaurant in the Stockton area the food were always huge portions and excellent Ray was always the best host.I miss seeing all the horse racing memorabilia on the walls.

Simply delicious! The food doesn't disappoint! Soooo many flavors in this dish and very impressed. Dined in the lounge and the service and ambiance were wonderful. If the change of ownership has you on the fence, it's time to give our hometown restaurant another go! You won't be disappointed. Cheers!

My fiance and I have been here several times both for Daye Night and Family Gatherings, amd we are NEVER dissapointed. The food is amazing from appetizers all the way through desert. TRY THE BREAD PUDDING!!!

I really like this place a lot. Great food, salsa second to none, and the staff is super friendly! I have tried a bunch of different menu items and have never been disappointed. I'm sure you won't be either. The restaurant is always clean and well kept. They have an outdoor dining area as well. Don't forget to try the Flan! It's so good I would eat it off the floor!

First time here and will not be our last. Beautiful restaurant and had great service and food! We went during lunch and each ordered a hibachi lunch, one steak & chicken and one steak & shrimp. Hibachi meals had great flavor and the veggies were amazing too! The fried rice was a bit dry but we added some leftover gyoza sauce we had from our appetizer and it improved it. "The service was marginal at best OVERALL. Ambiance had only country music playing what a shocker in oakdale.... My burrito was less than desirable and my girls she though was ok... the service was good when we came initially in for chips and salsa and to refill our water cup.... the chips came out hot... the salsa had a good flavor big peaces of cilantro mostly stems.... (Yuk) so i base a Mexican restaurant by there chips and salsa partially .... So nothing to repot to bad on that part... my girl got identically to what i got pollo and me carne asada wet burrito only difference is i like mine on the side so i asked it for on the side he attempted (server) to have me get the burrito that has no wet sauce.... I expressed i want the same burrito just with the sauce on the side... i no that places will attempted to drown a burrito in sauce for a lack of spice or flavor to there meat. At that point after i took the first bite i realized ordering the burrito was a bad idea... things only got worse from here. i asked for a check i can sense he could tell i wasn't happy he asked if we want any dessert of drinks(up selling) .... Nice try but not today so the bill comes out i forgot to mention i ordered a side of beans to dip the chips in i read they were 3$ on the menu ... but he asked if we wanted cheese and sauce we said sure, so noticing the Oaxaca cheese was stale and not good. So he bring out the receipt for us to pay and it had 4 items Item $15.00 (burrito)Item $15.00 (burrito)Which i was on board with but also two other charges Item $2.00 (????)Item $8.00 (bean dip are you @&#% kidding me)I mind you i mentioned we only ordered 3 items i said id like a itemized bill so i can actually see what im paying for ... i asked what are those two charges for the 2$ for hes states the "red" sauce i said i wanted a wet burrito just the sauce on the side i was like no you guys think im a sucker. I asked is the 8$ what i think it was for the beab dip and he said yes.lol so for a some beans its 3$ but for a lil bit of queso and almost no sauce a extra 5$ lol wow. I new at that point i realized most of there customers were drinking alcohol beverages and me and my girl werent having any drinks other than water. I over heard the guy serving us saying it was his last day i figure he just had ti up sell and charge US for some items that should of came with ...... long story shot my girl used the rest room she cane out quick and i asked her ur never that quick she said i didnt use it so i automatically new she was referring to it being nasty. So i think a two stars is generous plus i no most people don't pay attention to 1star reviews. After taxes & being overcharged by 10 dollars i will never go back i will stick to Suzy Belens ever time now! So you lost a customer for over charging a customer.... The 10 dollars you got from me could of been multiplied by 4 times a month coming back to visit thats how much we eat out 4 times a month... so your loss not mine! He never brought me a itemized bill back and never took no money off the bill and brought me the bill you will see below smh ! Its rare that i think a business should go out of business i see this establishment has been open since 1998 idk how, seriously all the clients must just go for the booze and be shit faced tipsy!"
"I've been here twice now and both times were fantastic!The first time was for dinner and my friend and I ordered a bunch of sushi and the crab Rangoon. The presentation for the sushi was crazy! So not expected. Our server was Jessica and she was on point! The next time was for lunchtime. My husband and I ordered the hibachi and a couple rolls. We had Josh for our server and he was excellent. We never had to ask for refills on our beverages. He kept them coming. The food was great both times and I love the atmosphere. It will be great when they get their liquor license for those who love to partake in alcohol. We will be back for sure."
"A great place to dine before going to the Gallo Center which is a block away. We had an amazing meal here! The Shrimp Bruschetta was so delicious. My husband really enjoyed the Ribeye with Gorgonzola and Mushrooms with mashed potatoes. I had the Salmon and Shrimp with roasted zucchini and red potatoes and lemon caper sauce. Loved it! Hats off to the chef! They have a bar. They could add more wine options though. They also have Jazz every other Monday."
