"The place is located right down town. Parking is great but there's something usually around the corner. They have small outdoor seating area. We sat inside, we all had tacos... chicken and asada and they were delicious the meat was well seasoned. I also had a wet burrito and it was DELICIOUS! The green sauce is thicker than I'm used to but it faced in my mouth. Is only recommend they change the tortilla chips (too thick- not fresh) but they are still Oakley with the salsa they serve"

All of the sauces with the parilladas were flavorful and great on everything. We came with our baby and they were great at accommodating us. Our waitress anticipated that we would want extra beans and a small spoon for our baby which I really appreciated. Great place for families or even a casual date night. The interior was really nice. Cool wood accents and a very unique chandelier."

"Food is meh... still very expensive. New name but same staff, I think new chef because food tastes different but not for the better. Still over priced I was not impressed with the food at all. This place used to be really good many years ago; I think 3 owners ago when it was owned by actual sinaloenses. That owner had authentic food n although it was a little priced than normal I didn't mind paying it for good flavorful authentic sinaloense seafood. Our waitress was very nice and food came out within a reasonable amount of time. Food is served with homemade corn tortillas. These last positive remarks earned them 2 stars. I don't think I'll be back it's not what it used to be 8 years ago unfortunately"

"Second time ordering food to go from here and they failed me even more than the first. Today I request 3 chicken enchiladas with rice and salad on the side. Chicken was not chopped and cleaned properly, their was fat in literally every bite I took. Gooey, chewy & gross. The rice I received was so hard, took a spoonful and spitted it right out , it was crunchy! Taco Bell has better rice, I was honestly shocked. The first time I tried their rice it was inside a wet carne asada burrito so idk if that soften it up or maybe just today's batch was over cooked and/or left uncovered. This restaurant is fairly new, they have no phone number or menu on the web. I found this location since I pass by there on my way to work.Both times I aimed for this restaurant I had someone place the order for me at the restaurant since they had no number to call it in.I'm very particular when it comes to my ordering, I tend to placeTheir menu is pretty extensive displaying tasty popular dishes. The main reason why I gave it a second chance original was because their RED sauce had a perfect flavor. Homemade sauce. They make their own sauce, it's not a can sauce. It irks me when restaurants use can sauce and charge $10 for 2 enchiladas. Wet burrito was tasty, but I honestly feel the sauce is what sets it off, because I tried the regular asada burrito and that was all bad, minimal minimal meet present. They have to take into consideration big competitors are down the street; EL GRULLENSE. El JALICIENSE. and all those Southside joints."

My wife and I are creatures of habit, so we order the same things usually. We order off the menu, omitting what we don't want and adding what we do (like extra cheese). The Big Burrito is enough food for two people, or two meals. I love the Chile Colorado, and my wife enjoys cheese enchiladas. My two boys' go-to is bean/cheese burritos (and didn't I mention, the flour chips?)Service: The staff are family and treat you like their own. If you go more than once, they might even remember you! My own family has been coming here for decades (as in 40+years). First my grandfather, my parents, my family, and my boys. There's a reason to come back again and again, and it's the great combination of great food and friendly service. We have often called in orders to bring home when we are passing through. Orders are correct and so are the charges. Ambience: My boys call this place the "train restaurant" because you often see, but not hear, trains pass the west side of the building. Memories since childhood for them! We have brought friends, family, and out-of-state visitors here for one reason: you can not find a better family atmosphere, with great food, and friendly staff serving the best Mexican food around. No. Where. Else.Negative reviews: You don't get to go into any restaurant and tell them what to make and how to make it. If they can make accommodations to your meal, they most certainly do. My wife is one of the "those people." She is very particular, but she is also reasonable. Some who complain of one bad experience, an accidental overcharge, or other nonsense are missing out. You went there for a reason. Don't let one off-day let this one get away. And don't let these few Karens/Kevins dissuade you from a great meal. If you want to find negativity in life, it's out there, but you won't find any negativity inside El Ranchito. They are great people serving up a family meal (and they have a bar, too)."

"The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly:Ok, so we've been coming here for years. We haven't been here in a few months, so we were excited. We traveled from another neighboring just to come here. As soon as we walked in, you could tell things had changed. Everything looked the same, but the normal 'hello, welcome' from friendly faces were replaced with a look and a disappearing act. The food that I craved before was now dry and had cardboard flavors. I asked immediately if it was a different chef. The new waitress said,'uh huh' and waddled away. No service after that, waited about 30 min after finishing for the check. Since it was moderately busy, we were patient. The table next to us had been there longer and looked at us and said that's enough. He called the waitress over (who was just standing behind the bar). No kidding! She looked right at him and held her finger up. So he walked out without paying. She obviously didn't care! She just stood there! Didn't stop them, didn't call a manager... nothing. Hubs went to the counter and paid our ticket. We overheard the people next to the bar.. it was the new owner talking about how he's making more changes to food and prices. Nope... RIP Costas! We MISS the former owners who cared about their customers and flavors!"

The gentleman I spoke to (in English and my limited Spanish) was very courteous and easy to talk with. He gave us a menu to look at and I wish I would have snapped some photos to share, like he suggested. The menu is pretty big, lots of items to choose from. Plus, they have daily (weekday) specials listed on the front doors inside. I posted a photo of it, in English and Spanish.Most dishes without a special are about twenty dollars each. I believe they have live music on the weekends. It was pretty calm when I walked in earlier today.Will be back!"

We ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito (huge!), nopales with eggs and chorizo with nopales/eggs as well as the machaca plate. The portions are wow! (Huge)-can share between two people. The salsa was delicious and we asked for spicier salsa and woah!!! It was fire, chipotle tasty spicy serrano or chile de arbol-fire!!! The rice was fluffy and the beans were tasty. The tortillas were hand made and the service was great. Homemade horchata and jamaica (hibiscus) agua fresca-so refreshing. Will definitely be back again and highly recommend this place.
