"Was craving fish and chips and found Rays Chicken & Fish Market. As soon as we entered we were greeted and felt welcomed. We ordered the large cod that also came with a slice of toast and fries and it was more than enough to share between two people. We also ordered 2 fried mushroom and fried okra. It took about 10 minutes to receive our order. There is indoor seating available, lots of space, and very clean. Everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return back to try other items."

"I've been here countless times and realized I had not given this establishment a review. This is my go to spot for birthdays, Mother's Day etc... The owner Jason is very personable. Brian is in charge and he runs the house smoothly. The food has never failed to satisfy. The shaved potatoes, shrimp chili and the tempura green beans are the best. The lobster ravioli and the Alfredo's are also really good. For lunch, I love the crispy chicken sandwich, that's not on the dinner menu. They have a full bar, they have your typical drinks, your wines, beers and non alcoholic beverages. The ambiance is dressy/casual. It can get a bit loud sometimes but not enough to be disruptive, more people enjoying each others company. A bonus: 5 miles from my house!!!"

"I love this place! Been going here for years and have enjoyed every plate. The burgers are juicy and cooked just right. I had the Frenchie and my brother had the crab Louie but in a sandwich with bacon! Both were sooooo good. Our waitress was pretty amazing as well. We ordered some garlic fries before our entrees and she brought everything out as they were ordered making all our food super fresh as we were eating. She was so sweet and it made our lunch experience just that much better. I love the decor in this place and the setup. Makes me feel like I'm in Berkeley at a little brunch place. Super clean and welcoming!"

Ordered a blended strawberry margarita & the steak and prawns plate. The ambiance definitely has an ole skool vibe to it. Service was great. I will for sure stop by this steakhouse again"

"Still my favorite place to eat in Modesto. We typically order the head-off shrimp with Louisiana "little bit" spicy, garlic noodles, Cajun fries, mango habanero wings. Louisiana sauce is finger-licking delicious. Garlic noodles, I've noticed sometimes vary in portion size.. if visiting during a busy time the portion seems to be smaller. But flavor wise always taste really good, they have just the right amount of garlic. Cajun fries nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The wings are all flat type wings which is a huge plus. And the mango habanero sauce is not quite as spicy as Buffalo Wild Wings sauce, but it does have a good kick to it. I would say it's more sweet than spicy. Make sure to ask for their spicy mayo sauce for your fries. Every so often I'll order the snow crab legs which never disappoint as well. Aside from the great food the service is always 10/10Our favorite servers are Lisa & Claudia. They're always friendly and make you feel as if you're family when we come in. This place gets really busy especially on weekends. The best time to visit is week days during the day time. The music can vary depending the day you go. I've heard Spanish, 90's, pop, all kinds of different generes."

The ceviche had a lot more tomato's and salsa, not much shrimp. The vampire taco is a small bite like a mini tostada. The chipotle taco was good but had way too much sauce. The best thing was the birria mulita which was juicy and flavorful."

Spoke to the owner and they said they fly in their crawfish everyday. It shows. I don't think any place in Stockton carry's fresh seafood. Definitely coming back. The outside looks deceiving. Atmosphere inside is cool. Try their fried rice - to die for. Ask for Nicole, she was super attentive and on top of it."

"The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly:Ok, so we've been coming here for years. We haven't been here in a few months, so we were excited. We traveled from another neighboring just to come here. As soon as we walked in, you could tell things had changed. Everything looked the same, but the normal 'hello, welcome' from friendly faces were replaced with a look and a disappearing act. The food that I craved before was now dry and had cardboard flavors. I asked immediately if it was a different chef. The new waitress said,'uh huh' and waddled away. No service after that, waited about 30 min after finishing for the check. Since it was moderately busy, we were patient. The table next to us had been there longer and looked at us and said that's enough. He called the waitress over (who was just standing behind the bar). No kidding! She looked right at him and held her finger up. So he walked out without paying. She obviously didn't care! She just stood there! Didn't stop them, didn't call a manager... nothing. Hubs went to the counter and paid our ticket. We overheard the people next to the bar.. it was the new owner talking about how he's making more changes to food and prices. Nope... RIP Costas! We MISS the former owners who cared about their customers and flavors!"
