"This is a small town mountain lodge and inn. People who have rated this one star definitely grew up affluent. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. I sat and ate breakfast at my table while one of the gentlemen who worked here ate at another table. We conversed a little and it was more of a family type feel with the staff making sure I got my food and any condiments I needed. The restaurant is a literal 30 foot walk from the rooms and the outdoor deck is awesome. I've stayed in two rooms, one downstairs and one upstairs and it was quiet both nights. AC and Direct TV in the rooms, although no fridge or microwave so bring an ice chest if you'd like to keep drinks cold."
"What a terrific place!!! First time staying here. I rented the Zen cabin for 5 nights. It was the most relaxing vacation ever! Quiet well kept grounds. The cabin was perfect for me. Just a bed, sink and toilet. And it did have electricity. Campsite also includes a built in bbq, a fire pit and table and two chairs on the deck. Was able to park my car right next to the cabin. Cabin also included a table top fan which was very helpful, as it was a very hot week. As someone who wanted to camp, but didn't want to sleep on the ground, these little cabins they have were perfect! Showers were coin op and just a quick walk from the cabin. Showers were .50 cents for 3 mins. You can add more quarters for more time. The communal bathrooms and showers were VERY clean at all times. Very well kept. The pool was terrific! Perfect temp and was very nice to hang out down there and read a book. Just a 5 min drive to big trees state park. Also a quick drive to Lake Alpine, Stanislaus river, Columbia state park, some terrific restaurants, and the moaning and Mercer caverns. The staff was super friendly and very helpful! All in all I had an amazing trip, and I will definitely be back!"
"One of the main locations where a lot of boat owners do their boat launching from on this side of the Delta Loop, Delta bay. Location has Minnie of little areas to visit for example, like a little deli that has a sit down bar that may be seats about seven or eight people, also a convenience store inside. Outside the surrounding area are some rentals, along with a boutique that is open on Saturday and Sundays. So if you happen to forget your swimwear, or looking for some summer where there's a new boutique a couple of hundred feet from the little deli. Also in the area is a boat and RV storage company. All located off of the Brannnan island exit. As you visit the deli, they are known for serving soft, serve cones and hotdogs and beer. You can enjoy all of this sitting outside on their little patio deck. There is close door parking there's a little something for everyone in the family as I noticed a playground area on the backside of the deli dogs can enjoy being out and about as well having them on a leash, taking a stroll."
"The Charlie (located in the casino downstairs on The Family Floor)This location is by the bowling alley. It has been open 4 weeks! It is the sister location to St. Charles in Columbia, Ca. Excellent pizza, the beer cheese fondue is awesome, calzones are huge and the artichoke jalapeño breadsticks are amazing!"
"Review #160 - 2020This review was previously written as a 3-star, but then my son came home and realized a few days later that he had forgotten his $200 Ferragamo belt in one of the drawers.Normally, my son shares a room with his younger sister and I; but since his cousins begged him to stay with them, he couldn't say no. If he'd stayed in the same room as us, he would've never forgotten anything because I always tell him to double check everything. He called the owner on Thursday, August 27th, and the owner said he had the belt in his possession. Thank goodness! The owner told us that he would mail it to us--as long as I provided my credit card info to pay for the shipping fee (which I had no problem with), but he didn't know when he would have the time to head to the post office. Fast forward to Monday, August 31st, and the belt arrived safely in our mailbox! Talk about staying on top of it!The hotel may be a 3-star stay, but customer service is definitely 10-star worthy!Thank you!!!----------------------------------------------I previously booked a cabin for 12 people about two months ago and as our trip drew near, the group size grew to 16 people so the cabin owner had to cancel our reservation the day before our trip.I was pretty disappointed because all my nieces and nephews were super excited about staying at the cabin. Sadly, they weren't able to accommodate us so I had to start looking for a back up plan.I was able to book four rooms at The Christmas Tree Inn at $160/night. Luckily, my siblings weren't too disappointed with the last minute change. We showed up at around 4 PM on Saturday, August 22nd for an overnight stay. Check-in was super quick and easy. My siblings actually showed up about an hour before me since I had to make a few stops to pick up food & drinks for our group. The owner was nice & easy going. He didn't make a big deal out of the fact that I forgot my mask. Check out was just as easy. He just told us to leave our keys in the room and close the door. The room was clean, but pretty outdated. The a/c worked very well, thank goodness, because it was 90° out plus the smoke from the fire didn't help. There's a picnic table right out front so we made good use of it for our late lunch and breakfast the next morning. There's plenty of available parking since our group was probably the only ones there. The hotel is less than half an hour away from Pinecrest Lake, which was nice."
"The road to Wildwood Acres may be winding and somewhat confusing, but don't hesitate. Just get there and then you'll know what a great place it is.I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding for a some friends of mine. I attended the couples open house with them to view the venue and talk about their ideas and also how the ceremony was supposed to go. I met the operations manager, who is great and really knows his stuff about weddings. We got to sample their menu, always a plus. This is really great for me because we went at the same time that the wedding was to be held and I was able to calculate how the lighting would look at certain points of the day.The day of the event was busy as weddings tend to be when you're behind the scenes. For being a kind of small location they have it all laid out to flow really well. There is a large room for either events or in this case for the wedding party to get prepared. The ceremony is held up in the back in a round wooded staging area. Its a little tight for photographers but the guests seemed to be happy. The dinning reception area is in the middle and right next to the dance floor with a DJ. These areas are bigger and better for mingling. The seating arrangement is very pretty with those warm old fashioned string lights floating above everyone. At one point, during dusk, the garden area was swarmed with dragon flies. It was one of the most magical things I've seen. The garden area is another spot for photos and guests to mingle and enjoy themselves. If you're in the market for a wedding come check this place out. Its ideally suited for your needs."
"Ok we are back again at north shore!! We love this area ! We are on the peninsula 162 love this spot!! Only issue this weekend was bugs were alil more than usual ! But probably because heat started up but still a great dry camping spot!! Great workers taking care of the area!! I will put up pics!! Water was high and beautiful!!! My lil dog Bella came with us and we just found out she loves the water!!! We will always come back!! Check it out!! You will love this place!!!"
"Was just living out on the Delta loop each marina or resort within the loop itself as unique characteristics, activities, and views within. This particular location that we went to the Delta Bay Marina at this location they tend to have a good handful of festivities or activities that are family oriented. One visit here they had a flea market another visit as this one was like an arts and craft fair with different vendors and another time they had a tiny. This is also a spot that you can have Tiny residency, as well as RV/camper residency or even just booking your camping outing. They do have a laundry room on site as well as a little community store and a community center that they host events like crockpot night. They also have a community swimming pool that the residenceand campground visitors can use during the holidays. They're also located right across from a kayak rental location for those that water activities."
"Cabin #8, 3 bd. 1 ba. roughly 900-1200 sq. ft. Smack dab in the middle of the property, very quiet, quite rustic but extremely charming and unpretentious. Views of the river (roughly 1000' from our cabin) via the front deck and kitchen. The cabin was equipped with a full kitchen, small entertainment center (TV - cable, VHS/DVD player but no stereo for music). Bedrooms are moderate in size, only one closet (downstairs bedroom, which is where we stayed). The double bed was firm but comfortable. Master bedroom upstairs has a king size bed (slightly lumpy mattress), large dresser and a TV and the 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds and a small dresser. Rates off-season are $140 night (which is pretty good) but this was one of the less expensive, smaller units on the 9 cabin unit property. Rental manager is apparently very sweet (per the owners of cabin 5 - who've owned since 1966, hello!) except she seemed a bit short and unfriendly on the telephone. In person, she seems quiet and almost (a l m o s t) rude. This certainly didn't disrupt our vacation as it was (honestly) one of the best trips ever! Highly recommend just disregard the property managers tone when you call/arrive. =)"
"I am so amazed with the service that this couple has provided me and my friends/co workers throughout our cruise trip last year in Ensenada CA. Lori and Milan were super professional, organized, and easy to work with. They made sure that our trip was stress-free. From booking to the last minute of our trip, they made it super easy for us, no hassle! Lori was very accommodating. She will go find fun stuff for us to do (like excursions) without breaking our budgets. They updated us even before and after we arrived in Mexico, Lori was attentive and checked on us several times to make sure everything was to our liking and was willing to do whatever to make sure we had an amazing trip. This was my very first cruise trip. I could say I had a blast and I am glad that I found Lori and Milan as my agents. They will make the impossible possible without breaking your budget. I'm looking forward to booking my adventure with them again. I gave this agency 5 STARS ***** because they made my cruise travel UNFORGETTABLE!!! I recommend Lori and Milan 100% you will love them. They will treat you like a Family. Awesome job"

We spent six nights here last week. What a hidden gem. ALL the hosts are so kind and helpful. The grounds are truly beautiful. I was afraid the spaces were very close together, they are not. The pool is clean and roomy. The bathrooms and showers are spotless. The laundry room is perfect. Two washers and two dryers. WIFI not so much. Have games and dvds or just talk to each other. LolNot so good things: our spot was not really big enough for our trailer. To open the slide we could not open the awning. If we moved back then we could not hook up sewer. If we moved forward then the tongue was in the road. But by far my biggest disappointment was not being able to sit outside because of the WASPS. We bought two traps and they had one hanging on tree behind us. HERE WE WERE IN ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAMPGROUNDS WE HAVE EVER BEEN AND COULD NOT SIT, COOK OR EAT OUTSIDE. NOT THEIR FAULT. WAS JUST WHAT IT WAS. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Stayed in Cottage #9 overnight. A perfect location to shoot a movie set in 1930's depression era California. See photos I posted. Interior of cabin: hope that you like knotty pine. There is a stove & fridge. No cooking tools, no plates, no cups, no coffee maker. No phone, no TV, no radio, no wi-fi. Windy night rattled the windows and leaky walls let the cold blow into the room. I slept poorly. This place defines bare bones. Calling this place a resort is laughable.Waaaayyyyy overpriced for the quality and lack of amenities.

When we came, the resort was under construction. Not that we were there for that. Just stating fact. We decided to come here after we each (4 of us) lost our $20 each at Chicken Ranch Casino. We are believers that you gotta be in it to win it. However, we also believe we don't need to bet our first born in order to hit jackpot..lol! We drove into a parking garage that was packed! Found parking relatively quick. Walked into a dark casino, with all the usual sounds of a casino. We noticed that although they were penny machines the min bid's were anywhere from $.66 to $.80 so one could run through their $20 pretty fast just placing single bets. Then we found the old machines with the arm pulls where minimum bets were $.01 for 5 lines each so $.05. Took us each a little longer to lose our $20's...ha! We spent maybe an hour here. Seems like there are a lot of machines but we didn't venture further in to see if there were decent amount of tables if slots aren't your thing.

Simple, but nice motel with standard amenities. Parking spots were sufficient. Service was nice.

Attended a beautiful wedding. Location is romantic but fun at the same time. There is enough space to have the actual ceremony and reception, with game area, space for a photo booth and dance area.

We decided to go camping over the holiday weekend. That was the best decision ever. Besides it being triple digits the entire stay, I'm talking 105-114.I think we chose the correct spot to camp, for the most part they kept the bathrooms clean, There was toilet paper every time but once... our bathroom only had two working stalls that was the biggest negative. All things considered it could've been a lot worse. Our campgrounds grounds were nice in proximity to everything. I really enjoyed the vibe of our camp sites we were in arrowhead on the south shore. We didn't get an opportunity to watch the movies, but I thought that was a nice touch. The check in process was slow and grueling, not sure why it took so long but it took about 30 mins.

First time visiting this campground. Second trip out with our new to us travel trailer. We will be back! Friendly staff, the RV campground has full hook ups and the spots are decently spaced. Most are tree covered which for the weekend we stayed with 100+ degree temps helped keep our trailer out of the direct sun. There is a pool that our kids loved for these hot days! Walked the loops and saw the tiny home community. This park is clean and well kept. Neighbors were respectful of noise too. Definitely family friendly!

"My family and I went here mainly to go fishing. When we showed up we were told no fishing except for one spot in a canal that's not even part of the flowing river. They have 2 beaches but you can't fish from there. Apparently if the staff likes how you look they'll let you fish off of their dock at the end says one of the locals that live there. I guess they didn't like me and my kids because they didn't let us fish from there. I think it would be very helpful if they said no bank fishing, only if you have a boat. My kids were so excited to go here until we found out we couldn't even fish at the river resort. We paid for 2 days and we didn't even really want to stay one night. The tent sites are right next to the highway. The whole night you can here cars driving by. Not to mention we had several flood lights pointed directly at our campsite. I had to move my vehicle and all the camping furniture in between the lights and our tent in order to go to sleep. I slept horribly with the lights shining into our tent, highway noise, and someone's subwoofers were bumping Mexican Banda music until after midnight. Also my neighbor who claimed to be a regular there did not follow the dog leash rules and his dog kept harassing my kids and made them feel very uncomfortable. The guy said it was ok because his dog was a "puppy," and that he was a regular there. This made it impossible to relax. I have small children and I don't know if the guys dogs was trained or not. I shouldn't have to worry about my kids getting bitten by someone's dog. I think it was normal for dogs to be off leash, there were other dogs that were roaming the "resort." But none of them were bothering us except for the one. If you have an rv and or a boat this place would be nicer to visit. But not the best for tent camping. The first thing I noticed on there flyer in big letters said FISH, as in fishing. It should say NO bank fishing. Or should specify that you cannot fish in the main part of the river, only a single spot in a canal. I don't think we will be going back until we have a boat. There wasn't enough things for the kids to do."
"Great way to beat the heat! Went with a friend for a sailing lesson yesterday and head a lot of fun. We rented a boat and set sail along the shores! There's something along the water that always has a calming affect on people's souls and I definitely felt it here! I had fun taking the boat out to different little coves and learning how to navigate along the delta! I will defiantly be back for more lessons and find sailing to be a relaxing way to spend the day! I highly recommend the delta sailing school to anyone who is looking to learn to get out and get that sail up! I had a blast! It truly was a great experience!"
"Low key, I don't want to recommend this place because it is a secret gem! This tIs the best pizza ever, best service and population. The people here are great, so if you are an ass, don't come here. You will ruin the vibe."
"Our cabin was really not too bad for the price. Granted it was a bit dated but fairly well maintained. It is also roomier than other newer ones I have stayed in. Kitchen have most of the equipment you would need to prepare a nice home cooked meal. Plenty of towels in the bathroom but some of the toiletries are missing (no shampoo or conditioner?) Linens are clean and the sofa sleeper was reasonably comfy despite being a little springy. No issues with check-in or check out. Wouldn't mind staying again in the future."
"I will give Windmill 3 stars for trying to upgrade. I have heard that there is a new owner. I am hoping that when boating season is in full swing, Windmill will be better than it has been in the past. I was at Windmill in March and the bathroom upgrades were nice. Hoping there will be new bartenders this summer, some of the ones that have been there for an eternity need to go! I will give an update once I see the Windmill Cove this summer!"
"We stopped here for breakfast while visiting Copperopolis and were so glad we did! To start, this is just a beautiful facility. The setting is lovely and the restaurant looks out over the golf course. We greeted promptly and shown to a very nice window table. Our server was lovely, very friendly and super efficient. I had literally one of the best breakfasts that I have ever had. Everything was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. Mine was the basic 2 egg breakfast with bacon and the country potatoes while my husband had the ricotta pancakes. Don't sleep on the country potatoes, these were the star of the show. This is a great stop for any meal. You don't need to be a member to eat at the restaurant which is wonderful. Highly recommend!"
"Great little two day stay.Grandson had a blast ended up getting him a pup passed for the build a bear. Bowling was a little different than I imagine I thought the bowling was going to be a nice big space but it's just two lanes. I feel a-lot of the activities are a little over priced and it was overly crowded but glad grandson had a blast meeting characters, going to dance party, swimming and visiting candy shop."
"We visit this place annually. The bridge you drive over before turning into the resort is a bit sketchy, but it's no problem if you take it slow. As of June, the resort has been making some nice renovations. The front gate is being upgraded to a nice decorative metal one with cobble stone accents. The old store in front of the gate where you check-in has been demolished. The new store for check-in is the white building to your left after driving through the gate. This resort parallels the American river, which is nice for fishing and other water activities. If the river isn't your thing, they have a swimming pool. The resort gives you a sense of feeling like you're in the Forrest. You can find some slower water to play in down towards the end of the resort where tent camping is located. I took a short video of the area and posted it in the photos. They have RV sites, tent camping and cabin camping. They offer a variety of different size sites and some sites can accommodate rigs up to 45'. If you select a river site, one thing to note is no sewer hookups. There is one dump station locate next to the general store. If you want full hookups, you need to select any site other than the river side. I believe everything is 30amp, so don't forget your adapters for 50amp people. Each site has a metal fire ring and a wooden picnic table. The cabins are nice. If you're looking for something a little different and kind of cool, they offer wagon rentals. The wagons have been converted into overnight rooms. They have also built some nice new cabins towards the top tier. There are two playgrounds. One is next to the swimming pool and the other is near the end by the tent camping. There is a small grass area on the top tier with two small soccer goals. There is also a child size chess set located near the front of the resort in the outdoor recreational area. If you want shaved ice or ice cream, they converted a small airstream into a little parlor. It is called The Silver Bullet. A couple things to note. River sites are probably the most difficult availability. One thing Coloma resort does that is pretty cool is give priority to re-book for the following year. So, if you rent a specific site and like it, you can rent the same site for the same dates the following year. You would need to book immediately at the end of your trip. If you do not, they will open up the spot to the general public."
"I was looking for quite awhile to find a place we could go to for our anniversary that we could take our little dog. We got him from a shelter at the beginning of Covid and he has a really hard time leaving him with others, and boarding him is something I just can't do as he was in a cage for awhile before we got him. So looking for a place that would be nice and easy to walk Winslow, plus be a great get away for us was really not easy. I'm so happy I found the Lazy Z! The cottages are cute and perfect for 2. They have some bigger homes on the property, but we only saw them from the outside. There are acres of paths and lanes to walk and the outdoor pool and spa is beautiful. We didn't see many other people at all, and we had no contact with the staff except the housekeeper who brought us new towels. Check in was so simple, in fact there really wasn't any! I received a text from Launa with directions and the number of our cottage. We were to go and the door would be unlocked with a key on the table. Anything we needed, we could text. There was a little kitchenette with plates, flatware, glasses and a Keurig coffee master with 6 pods. Bring your own for more coffee. There is a small frig, toaster and microwave. Everything we needed. I also brought my air fryer, as I can cook most anything in it. We had a nice roast one night that I cooked. So simple. We stayed for 3 nights, and explored the surrounding areas. The clubhouse is a walk from the cottages, so if you are not able to walk uphill you will need to drive. There is an ice machine both inside and outside the clubhouse. There are games, blackjack and poker tables, ping pong and pool, a big fireplace, TV and a bar that are all available to use. There is a vending machine with sodas downstairs. You could stay in the clubhouse with your family for hours and enjoy all it has to offer. The Lazy Z is close to Sonora for food and shopping. We also went to Jackson, Columbia and Arnold. My favorite was the drive we took up to Pinterest and we were able to play in the snow. The pros are friendly, helpful staff, secluded, safe place to stay and get away in a peaceful, beautiful setting. The water features are lovely and you can use the outdoor spa. We saw someone in it one time, otherwise it was empty. The cons are the mattress was hard and needs updating, the bathroom is tiny and the hot water only lasted about 5 minutes because of a time water heater. The cottages are basically tiny trailer homes. They are plenty for 2, and again, they have bigger homes to rent on the property. The price to bring out dog was $25 a night which is steep as we stayed for 3 nights. I think a cleaning deposit would be better and maybe one small charge extra. You wouldn't have known we had a dog and we actually left the place better than when we came as we picked up some trash on the property that others had left. It was in the higher priced side, and if you want more luxury you may want a hotel. We enjoyed our stay and may go back in the future!"
"They don't have private fence to section the RVs off here. Too open for my liking. Packed during summer days. Swimming pool has it going for them.Internet is not happening here so one has to pay for the internet. They got that figured out as an add on.I've experienced better on glamping."
"I've camped here so many times! This place is mediocre. the only reason why I keep coming back is the dock is just a quick 200 feet walk and my entire group rides dirt bikes so we like that they don't frown upon that. You are also aloud to dock your boat at the launching zone BUT beware cuz there are fuckers who will steal from you....like rob your entire sound system!!! BE CAREFUL. Personally I always pull the boat outta the water because well, I'm paranoid and the Delta water can get so dewy at night :)A couple things that I absolutely hate about Turner cut but have learned to live with are:-The grassy area can get flooded depending on where your camp site is. Try not to get the camp sites right in front of the restroom areas. TRUST ME! You will be sorry!-The restrooms are filthy. The shower area is disgusting and when I get home I feel like I have to disinfect my entire body and family.-A couple times I've gone to use the restrooms and the toilets were filled with vomit!!! Whoooo. I know...when your camping especially out on the Delta everyone is out to have an awesome time...but damn, do you not know how to flush the toilet?! NASTY!!!!!-The food that they offer in the small restaurant at the top portion of the dock is gross. Everything is nasty. Don't do it. The worse thing is when your out to have a good time and the food you eat fucks your stomach up. Wait til you get out on the water. There are plenty of spots to eat that are very good!!!!Besides that, just watch what spots you reserve and bring a ton of hand sanitizer. Remember, your camping so you gotta rough it a little! lol"
"It was a nice spot to meet our needs. We had those who stayed in the cottage. We had a camper group that loves the full hookups. We enjoy the dry camping but went with the hookups to stay in close proximity to our tribe. The full hookup spaces had some really nice separation. No looking out the window to see your neighbor just a few feet away. The spots are variable in terms of size. Ours had a very limited spot for a table and a fire ring. We ended up at the cottages to accommodate our group gatherings in a more spacious setting."
"The chef has made some wonderful changes to the menu and the weekly specials have been delicious. Had the fish and chips yesterday, it was on the weekly specials! Please keep on the menu, they were delicious The staff is incredible, especially Roger in the bar! Hope they get busier soon!"
"I stayed her for seven days a little get out of town..The rooms were giant as most World Mark stays. It was two stories full kitchen dining area and living room..The down stairs had a TV in living room and one in the bedroom as well with a queen bed.The upstairs had a huge room with another bathroom and a King bed.The view from our deck out of the living room had chairs and a table and a gas BBQ. It over looked a green belt which we saw deer every day. The place also had two huge pools and spa. The main building where you check in had a pingpong table a rlfree arcade game a huge connect 4 game and UNO cards the size of a small car ..well maybe not that big but they were definitely big and hard to shuffle..This place was great and even had movies every night that played outside for free..This place was great"
