"Wanted to try something that we haven't tried before for dinner, and landed on Dhaba! We tried to order takeout via phone so that things would hopefully be ready by the time we got there, but was sent straight to voicemail twice :( But alas, we were determined to try their food, so we drove over and ordered at the restaurant. We were given a 20 minute estimate wait and our order was just about ready within those 20 minutes. We tried the butter chicken, basmati rice, and garlic naan.+ Butter Chicken (3/5): This was piping hot by the time we got home to eat it! It didn't quite have the richness I was looking for. We ordered this at a medium spice level but it felt closer to mild.+ Garlic Naan (2/5): I was looking forward to this the most as a garlic aficionado, but the naan looked nothing like the photos. The garlic was just in small, random lumps around the naan vs. evenly spread throughout. I was also looking for more cilantro on the naan itself but this was also very minimal.Overall, we felt like the food was pretty neutral - nothing too spectacular but also not quite enough to make us want to come back."
"Honestly, this is my go-to in Stockton! Chicken tikka masala is SMACKIN!!! Plain naan or garlic naan! Always gotta order the raita (yogurt) that helps calm the heat! I like the samosas here too! They're little pillows of dough with potato and peas with spices! I've tried a couple of spots around the area and I always come back to this one! Super friendly owners and food is FIRE!!!People don't eat in the restaurant from what I've seen, but they do have the tables for it!"

"Food is awesome. We loved the Naan and butter chicken. We went there for Sunday Lunch with family. Service was quick as well. If you are passing by Manteca don't miss this spot for Indian food to lunch dinner or pick ups. Thanks to our server Vishal today."
"Well to start off with there is plenty of parking here! Got here at 4:15 they open at 4:30 but lots of people trying to get in here, so I think that's a good sign! Was greeted by Abha and was very helpful with the menu, how to say service is outstanding at this restaurant. They gave me their version of chips and salsa made out of chickpeas. The restaurant has a very nice ambience, casual or formal your choice. and the food was amazing!!So if you're in this area and craving Indian food, this is the place to go to!"
"This is my second time eating at Nagina Palace and it was delicious! The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of seating and the service is friendly. We ordered Paneer Puri, garlic + regular Naan, Basmati rice, chicken Tikka Masala, mango Lassi and Gulab Jamun. Everything came out fresh and had great flavor. I usually travel to the Bay Area for good, authentic Indian food, but am happy I will not be needing to travel far any longer."
"Always amazing and fantastic! Service is always great, both in making sure everything is good and our drinks rarely go empty. The ambiance is very authentic and casual, have lots of tables for lots of guests to enjoy. We always go for the buffet, and never disappointed. All of the dishes are great, but note to remember: where oil is sitting = spicier food. The naan bread is best when it's fresh, but so good to scoop the food and dip into the sauces."
"We order from this place ALL of the time at work. This is our go-to spot for Indian food in the area. The sauce from their butter chicken is so creamy and flavorful and the thicken is so tender. I'm also a fan of their tandoori chicken. It's so flavorful and I love that they give you a slice of lemon, that little squeeze of lemon gives you a perfect burst of citrus that matches great with the chicken. Their garlic naan is so good I don't think I've found any on par with theirs. I've never eaten here but it's a pretty small spot with a few tables inside if you chose to go that route.Lastly, I just want to say that they are so accommodating for us when we place our big work orders. They organize everything nicely for us so we don't have to deal with it when we pick up the food.Side note, gotta love when people save they've been to a place (here) a ton over the years but only take the time to actually do their review when they have 1 bad experience. Guess all those years of loving their food wasn't worth a review I suppose huh."
"Picked up food today. Ready in 15-20 mins. Tasty and still warm when I got home. Butter Chicken & Garlic Naan. Also here's the Menu."
"Sansar Indian cuisine restaurant is a very nice restaurant that serves authentic Indian dishes. Our server was friendly & helpful. I loved the butter chicken and garlic naan. The Tandoori chicken was also nicely spiced and delicious. All food we ordered was delicious. Our experience was enjoyable and I world recommend giving Sansar a try."
"My son had a craving for garlic naan and had been here before, a while ago, so we ordered to go since their dinning room is closed. It is located in a strip mall by several other restaurants, but is strictly a take out location at this point. We ordered the spinach paneer, butter chicken, chicken curry, chicken tikka masala and a chicken and rice dish that the name escapes me at the moment. Anyway between the two of us our bill was over $80. The portions were extremely small, maybe 8oz. with very little chicken. They were mostly sauce. The chicken curry had five small pieces and that was it. The food was delicious but we are all waking up with extremely bad stomach aches. We have never had this experience from other Indian restaurants and if it was just me, I wouldn't be writing this but my whole family has an issue except my one son that didn't eat any of it."
"My favorite place for lunch. They have a lunch buffet but their individual entrees are also good. My go to is the butter chicken and Chana masala."
"Food was goodService was quick Ambiance was ok.It says temporarily closed, but they're open."

Our first stop after heading back into town from SFO. I hadn't heard of the spot until I came here for the first time. The food was very reasonably priced. I think it was a lunch special or something like that going on at the time. Our plate came with an entrée, side of rice, a salad, a small rice pudding, like dessert, and of course, some naan. I ordered the butter chicken and I think my friend got goat curry. in any case, we both really enjoyed the food, but unlike most Indian food that we eat, this place did not feel so heavy. At this time, the food was served to us kind of cafeteria style . Basically we walked up to the counter and they serve your food on the spot as you go down the row. Very fast and efficient.

The chicken tikka masala extra spicy and garlic naan will always be my go to here.! The chicken tikka masala has a nice deep rich creamy flavor and the garlic naan is nice fluffy with the right amount of crunch. I love this place. I haven't had to deal with any type of rudeness that's on some of the reviews I always order over the phone. Yes I have to repeat myself but it's a sweet elderly woman answering. Be patient it's worth the wait.!

We ordered eggplant, chicken, okra, naan, and keena (naan with lamb inside). Food was really tasty and they include a lot more pieces of chicken and veggies than what I'm used to at some of the other Indian restaurants. Definitely a plus. The only dish that was a bit disappointing was the keena (naan with minced lamb ).They can definitely benefit from hiring someone who speaks better English and knows what eggplant is (since it's on the menu). It was really difficult ordering over the phone. Just feels like staff was not the most efficient, and improvement to that could dramatically improve customer experience.

Have to admit, this is my favorite restaurant in Merced. Staff are friendly and remembers all of our names and what we all like to order. Must try the Spinach Stuffed Nanny, it's the best!

Excellent customer service by the woman working front of house. She greeted us and brought out bottled water for us to drink (extra bonus points) while we looked over the menu. We decided on chicken biryani, chicken tikka marsala, garlic naan, and samosas. Everything was delicious! Especially the yogurt sauce that goes on the biryani. I had an extra pleasant dining experience due to the woman's customer service. She went above and beyond for my son. She noticed the food was too spicy for my son so she brought out a mango lassi complimentary on the house. That was so awesome of her! Thankfully I carry cash so I was able to tip; I asked to tip on my bill but she said they only accept cash tips so just a heads up. Overall, a lovely meal and dining experience. Thank you

"So bomb! This is the place to check out!! I at first thought with the name "express" it was going to be food sitting under lights as if I went to a buffet. Very opposite. The staff is very friendly, we located a photo on yelp that wasn't labeled, and she informed us the name and we ordered it. It is my new favorite! Soo flavorful! Stop by and order food from here!"
"Wowza! Everything I love about Indian cuisine on a crisp pizza crust! It's truly to die for, bravo to the chef! Service is amazing as well! The atmosphere is family friendly clean, with lots of booths for a more intimate experience as well as tables. A great selection of beers to match the menu. All around a great find for us on our trip!"
"My favorite Indian food! All my favorites in one place.. butter chicken, fish and veggie pakora, fresh juices, garlic naan, and glab jamun -perfection. Catering, dining in, togo or lunch buffet -they deliver the best quality and with the best service."
"I was going to make butter chicken so I need some ingredients that you can find at a Indian Grocery store. This is a small family owned & ran business. Grocery store is in the front & they have a little counter in the back where you can get vegetarian Indian food. As soon as I entered I was greeted by Abhi. Him and his mom was there running the business. He was helping people in the store & his mom was in the back cooking. He was very nice! He answered all my questions and even helped me shop . He walked me around and showed me what to get . And explained about the different food items. He said he was a vegetarian so the food they cook at the store is vegetarian street food. They have a great selection of groceries & spices. They even have pre made sauces for when you don't want to cook & have a quick meal."
"My husband, my son and I walk by all the time on our walks in the morning and night so we finally decided to see if they had vegan food. THEY DO. And they know what the means. No "well is cheese okay?" They actually told us they don't recommend a vegan quesadilla because they don't have vegan cheese so it would just be something without cheese. It's so nice when people know what vegan means and accommodate! We tried the vegan burrito and the vegan tacos and they were BOMB. So so so good. When I read "Indian-Mexican fusion" I knew it wouldn't disappoint. The flavors complement so well. We will definitely be back for more. They were also very nice. If you want to stay and eat, there's only one table but we took ours to-go, so there wasn't an issue for us. I guess it might be loud if you choose to eat at the table. But the food would totally make it worth it!"
"Best Indian food I have ever tasted! Very organized grocery store/clean restaurant. Also, have Ria money transfer to send money worldwide! Must visit."
"This location used to be Dhaba (which we loved) and then after they closed, we would visit the other Dhaba location on Grant line. But I wondered what the next business would be here.We placed a phone order which was a bit of a challenge because I think perhaps the person on the other end had a hearing issue or something as hubby kept having to repeat himself but was incredibly patient with them. Upon entering, it was lunch time. The layout inside looks exactly how Dhaba did. Not much changed there. The guy who brought out our food was friendly and kind.Lunch buffet goes for $22. Seems a bit steep for lunch but perhaps would've been the better option considering we paid $50 for 2 adults for the following items and portions were small.Butter chicken (1/5)Chicken Tikka Masala (4/5)Saffron Rice (5/5)Garlic Naan (4/5)The Butter chicken missed the mark for us completely. The heat was there however:1) It kid you not, it only had 6 SMALL pieces of chicken :( the size of a tater tot. The container was 99% sauce. 2) We've had many butter chickens in our life however the sauce was swimming in butter/oil, to the point where we could see the oil globs forming and wasn't appetizing at all. I feel we got punk'd with this dish. The chicken tikka came in the same container style as the butter chicken. This one had a better serving of chicken but not a lot either. The saffron rice was not included with the main dishes and the portion was small but was very delicious in flavor. The garlic naan was pretty good too.Overall I was disappointed with the portion sizes. Our Indian food order is usually 2 mains (1 must be butter chicken), rice, garlic naan, and samosas. We ALWAYS had leftovers for the next day for 2 adults. We did not have any leftovers with this place. I hope they take this and improve on the portions of their chicken."
"My bf and I got there two hours before they closed, and we're told to sit near the windows so they could clean up a spot for us to officially sit at. Wait wasn't too long, and we already knew what we wanted. He got the chicken tikka masala, and I got the butter chicken. We also got naan, and they were so warm and perfectly fluffed enough to open up and put some chicken in there. Portions were more than enough for the both of us, and came in these neat metal plates. I got mild for my dish, because I know I can't handle the Indian spice, and he got the spicy one. The waiter was funny, and asked if he wanted the spicier one and my bf was like uhm, nah. It was laughable, since it felt like the waiter was jokingly sizing him up to see if he could take the spicier dish. Welp, he could not. Food: SO GOOD. SO F GOOD. Best we've had, and we've gone to several places in the Bay Area. This place beats anywhere we've gone so far. It took a little while, but so worth the wait Employees: Only had the two guys who bussing tables and serving, and they were pretty chill in the sense that they didn't swing by to our table so often that it felt like they wanted us to leave. Bathroom: clean, y'all. and pretty nice mirror on your way to the bathroom. locks works fine, too, and it's styled like the rest of the place. Vibe: calming, slow, and chill. Type of place to take your partner, a group of friends to catch up on life, or your in-laws."
"We love the service we get here. The food is quite tasty. It is a bit on the spicy side but that is to be expected. I would recommend the biryani here for sure. The portion sizes are generous."
"It was very tasty! We had the goat and lamb with two types of nan bread along with rice! My brother is said it had to rank in his top ten! And he loves Indian food, traveling the world! He has eatin at the Mint Room, Chettinad Restaurant, and even the Shahi Pakwaan in London Kingdom... now he had to help me with the spelling, since I didn't know any of these places. He said anyone that reads my review and frequently visits Indian restaurants will know! Definitely will return when in the area! Igofish2day!"
"While my boyfriend was busy chit chatting with his teammates during his jiu jitsu competition, I got busy looking for delicious food to eat and found this gem online. First of all, you know a restaurant is good when it is tucked away in a little grocery plaza. Second, it isn't fancy (if you're looking for that, look elsewhere), which means they spend their time and energy making bomb food. Happy runs the joint and he was a cool guy. We ordered the:Dahi Bhalla Chaat - super tasty. Never had anything like this before. It is served on the cooler side because of the yogurt, and the chutney is homemade in house, with pure tamarind, and crunchy bits. The texture was wild, and fun. Delish. Punjabi Kulcha - their answer to a delicious bao bun. But, it is filled with tender, spiced, garbanzos, with onions and a sumptuous sauce. So freaking good. Everyone in the restaurant had one of these on their plates! Baingan Bharta - this eggplant dish was phenomenal. I have never ate anything this delicious/exciting in my life (not counting my mom's cooking, obviously), and trust me, I eat a lot. This was insanely good with the Garlic Naan we ordered :) We scraped that dish clean!Rasmalai - we finished off our fabulous meal with this delicious dessert. It looks like a cake, and we chose the cardamom flavored one (it was the orange looking one). It was light. Like a cloud. And, being Asian, I already don't like super sweet desserts, and this nailed it. It wasn't super sweet, and it was the best finish to a good meal. This place is very affordable, and you can tell their meals are made with care. Just be aware, it is vegetarian here and they don't serve beer. Don't let this deter you though. Check this spot out if you're in or close to Stockton. I wish they had Punjabi restaurants this tasty in San Francisco, because they don't exist there."
"Visiting my girlfriends hometown, we had to go to one of her favorite local spots. We came in on a Friday night, and since it's also a sports bar vibe, it was a perfect spot to watch my beloved Warriors play. She recommended the cucumber kamikaze, and jeez, these were absolutely delicious. I don't know what goes in them, but they were scary easy to drink and we definitely had more than one. Something I learned about the Central Valley, is that a lot of their drinks come with a tajin rim, which I'm slowly coming around to. We also ordered a michelada, and this was one of the better ones I've had, plus for a large it was quite affordable. For a snack, we got buffalo wings for the table. Between the buffalo and the mango habanero, the buffalo was the winner for me. The mango wasn't as spicy as I'd hope for. Flavors aside, they did give some above average sized wings, my only critique is that I wished they were crispier. It's a definitely a neighborhood spot and by the time the game was over, it was getting pretty packed. Pricing wise, it's pretty affordable compared to Bay Area prices, which is always a plus. Definitely would come back when visiting and staying in the city of Livingston."
"Good food, very quiet at the time I was there, and delicious sweets to take home with me. A good travel stop for me and I will stamp here again."
"Finally had some time to stop in for lunch. They have plenty of seating inside. I ordered Togo. I ordered butter chicken, white rice, samosa and garlic naan. While I waited they handed me a free bottle of water, which was nice treat. When I paid they said starting Monday 11/13/23 they were going to offer a lunch meal from 11am - 2pm for $12.99, which was all I wanted but not available. My items came out to $29 would have been nice at the lower price. That gave a lot of food. Will have leftovers for dinner. The butter chicken had a good amount of chicken and the it was flavorful. Rice cooked perfectly, garlic naan was good. The samosa on the other hand fell short. Need to be a tad bit more fried, the filling was just potato nothing else, needed more seasoning. I will not be buying those again."
"So excited to see this new Indian restaurant pop up in Merced! It also has the CHEAPEST lunch buffet price around! $12!?!? Literally cannot be beat! The restaurant is a small, cozy hole-in-the-wall with plenty of street parking. It's located right behind Save Mart and McDonalds.I came on a Monday at noon and they had a great selection for the lunch buffet. There was Butter Chicken, Chicken Curry, Lamb Tikka Masala, and Tandoori Chicken (among other vegetarian options). There's self-serve Basmati Rice and Chicken Biryani, and Naan or Garlic Naan available for request from the server/host. There's also self-serve Indian Chai available! The server was attentive and good about checking in on me. I had an awesome experience and would highly recommend! Just found my new go-to lunch buffet spot!"
"Yes, it is a 5 star review for a food truck! We bought a lot of food and all of it was incredible! We started with Gol Gappe which was not only appealing to the eye, the depths of flavors were memorable! We will be ordering this often! The butter chicken was very flavorful and mild in spice level. The tiki masala was spicy for the mild level, not spicy for Indian food. The flavors were on point for both of these dishes and I will definitely get them again. The last thing ordered was fish pakora and this was impressive! The sauces served with it were contrasting of each other and made it seem like we had two orders of fish in a good way! The fish is battered but in a thin layer that was well spiced. I did not expect to get this level of food from a truck in front of Home Depot!!! Well done Curry on Wheels!!! This is now in the rotation! I'll take pictures next time as this time we just dove in!"
"Tried this new spot and the ambiance is nice. Nice chairs and decor inside. Service was good, our waitress was nice and patient. Alright let's get to the food....Aloo tikki appetizer- delicious, it's similar to a potato croquette but with Indian flavors and served with the chutney and sweet red sauce.Chicken tikka masala- now I've eaten at a lot of Indian restaurants and the one they served me didn't really look or taste like tikka masala. It look more like goat curry but with chicken.... It was good but not what I expected or wanted.Jeera rice- good flavor and basic riceGarlic naan- nice and crispyDrink- nice variety of drink options, from cocktails to mocktailsSpice levels- the waitress warned me that hot level is not what I can take.... So we ordered medium.... And didn't taste spicy at all..... so had to ask for a side of spicy chili sauce.Hoping someone posts their order of chicken tikka masala so I can compare, because I wanna know if I got jipped...."
"I am sorry to all my yelpers. I am traveling for work ran inside to grab some food and dash back to the hotel. I order had a drink and waited for my food. My waitress was Navjot she very polite and nice . She made feel welcome. She was able to discuss the menu and together we figured out a fire recommendation the Special Chicken Biryani's. Very delicious and light with the rice. Spice level was medium just barely breaking a sweat. The restaurant was clean and open. This is must try if you love Indian food. I will be returning just to give this place a sit down and try . Please support and give them try."
"Absolutely delicious! I've heard the chef is from Bombay, so the spice and flavor is a bit different than other Indian restaurants in this area. Mh wife and I came here for the first time today and it is our new favorite! We tried several dishes and they were all amazing! The food came out cooked fresh. Very reasonably priced, too! We will definitely be going back!"
"Normally don't eat Indian Food but its the only resturant near my house. We Visited this place for lunch with friends and tried wide variety of food including appetizers and main course. Food was made to order, fresh, and flavorful. The quantity was right for the prices the staff was prompt, courteous, and professional in their service. Their restroom was also clean which is a Huge PLus. Their menu is the same to other branches. The seraga sambha biriyani both mutton and nattu kozhi biriyani was great. The ambience was good and the place is clean. Give it a try and you will enjoy the South Indian delicacy and hospitality."
"This restaurant rivals the best Indian food in the Bay Area and is easily one of Ripon's top dining spots. The butter chicken stands out with a rich, flavorful sauce and a satisfying spicy kick--among the best I've had. Their lamb and goat curries, along with the biryanis, are bursting with bold flavors and perfectly seasoned. The naan, baturas, and parathas are freshly made, flavorful, and clearly prepared with great care.Overall, this is the best Indian restaurant in the Central Valley."
"4.5 stars. This place is definitely worth the drive. Raj is a sweetheart and will make sure everything is perfect. I took off 1/2 point only because I prefer my samosas w/ lighter dough. And I prefer inside potato mix to be a bit dryer if that makes sense. And the green dipping sauce was watery to me. But that won't stop me from going back! Go support them. It will be worth your while:) everything was homemade delicious-ness!"
"Stopped by this area for a quick evening snack. The mango lassi definitely stood out and so glad I tried this specific one because there's definitely a different flavor compared to other places. Some places just taste like a tangy mango smoothie, but this one does have a spice/peppery after taste. I'm thinking cardamom? Definitely my go to for mango lassi now though"
