"This motel is squeaky clean, quiet, with a flat bed, a large room, a good shower, microwave, refrigerator, and polite staff. It is extremely well kept inside and outside, and it is also extremely bare bones. If bare bones doesn't bother you, it doesn't get better than this. Also, Huckleberry's serves a good breakfast right next door."
"I love the long history of this place. And I like to investigate haunted hotels. The bartender told me she has seen several different ghosts over the years. The room on the top floor has a lovely view of the water. The horror movie elevator will definitely put you in the mood for ghost hunting."
"This is hands down my favorite hotel to stay at while in Merced or the surrounding area. This used to be a Hilton hotel but they went private like 6 months ago.Anyway, regardless of ownership this is probably one of the prettiest hotels in town.I would highly recommend it to anyone. It's centrally located in beautiful downtown Merced and close to a variety of restaurants and bars. The only downside is that the hotel is tucked between two railroad tracks which doesn't bother me. I love Merced and their friendly people and the beautiful neighborhood!! Merced is worth a visit and so is El Capitan!!El Capitan Hotel in Merced is a historic and elegant hotel that offers a variety of amenities and experiences. According to my web search, El Capitan Hotel was originally built in 1916 to serve train passengers and guests traveling to Yosemite National Park which explains why it is tucked between two railroad tracks. Don't worry they offer free earplugs on their nightstands should it be too loud for you.It was recently renovated and reopened in April 2021, after being a Hilton hotel for some time. It now features 114 guest rooms, a fitness center, a sun terrace, and four distinct dining options, including a restored historic theater."
"Well preserved old home set in a neighborhood that makes you realize immediately this home has been here far longer...ornate woodwork, Victorian feel and the furniture to go with it... rooms are spacious, bathrooms are huge for an older property. Aside from the dining room table I will say there's not much else aside from the backyard to congregate with your group. The furniture in the living room is antique anyd not the most comfortable but again I think you're here for the experience. In my opinion not a great option if you're bringing kids along...especially if a tv is expected. Definitely recommend for a unique experience."
"This motel has great rooms! Clean, quiet and close to downtown Lodi (also the White Zinfandel capitol if the nation!!). The manager here is very friendly, helpful and treats you like family. I came for the Lodi Grape Festival and found this location to be perfect! After a day of food, wine, games and rides I walked back to the motel which was literally right next door. I recommend this place for anyone passing by, attending the grape festival or just wanting to get away!"
"My friends got married at Hiddenbrooke Hills nearby so we decided to stay the night at Hampton Inn (~10 minutes away from the venue) so we wouldn't have to drive all the way back home in the East Bay.As a Hilton Honors member, I was able to check in the day before and choose my room via the app. Super simple to figure out and made arriving at the hotel much easier. I did still have to go to the front desk to get a physical key and a parking permit (though, parking is free). You'll need the physical key to get into the building after hours. If you're planning to go somewhere and come back after 10 pm, you won't be able to use the app to get into the lobby, it'll only work for your hotel room door. The room was great - no complaints. We got a large king bed that was pretty comfortable, plus our room had a small couch area and a spacious bathroom. Breakfast was pretty good for a free breakfast. It had all the usuals - cereal, toast, yogurt, fruits, etc. They also had different flavors for your waffles if you wanted to make one and different meat options (bacon, turkey sausage, etc). If you're looking for a quick breakfast, it's a good stop. Otherwise, if you're looking for more options, definitely consider going to brunch in the area."
"Great place for my one night stay. While attending a birthday party out here. Clean, updated, continental breakfast sausage eggs waffle cereals juice danish muffins etc. not freakin bad. 2nd time at a la Quinta and I wasn't disappointed. Yes they have carts to bring in your own luggage. No room service for food. Which I wasn't expecting cause I know it's not like a 300$ night hotel. But paying 110$ I would much rather stay here. I will be back. Thanks"
"OK, if you like to run around naked (like me)-- Laguna del Sol may be a great place to hang out! If you want to spend the night, there are lots of options to choose from, however, reservations in advance are really important!!!You can bring your own RV, and take advantage of hooking up to water and electricity. If you become a member at LDS, you can have your RV stored there, and pulled out before you arrive. All of rental units that LDS had to rent for this weekend were sold out a week ago. We tried several times during the week to see if there were any cancelations. There weren't, and we really wanted to hang out with our friends (who had fortunately called in earlier for reservations and got them). We were desperate for a place to stay at LDS, so we decided on what was available--dry camping. We pulled out our two person tent stored in our garage, and dusted it off. Then we made a list of what we needed to take with us. We didn't need much clothing--since clothing isn't encouraged, and the forecast said it was going to be hotter than hell. We filled a large cooler with foods that were quick and easy. We used one of the gas grills at LDS to cook steak, and corn on the cob, and also another meal we used the grill to BBQ our precooked short ribs.We decided to not get food from the restaurant because our friends ate breakfast there the week before and they weren't impressed with what they got.Tip: if you are leaving from the Bay Area on a Friday during the busy season, leave before 10 am. Recently, we left on a Friday at around 12:20 pm, and got stuck in a huge slow down in what seemed like middle of nowhere. Actually, it was a 4 way stop sign. The next time, we left the Bay Area on Friday around 10 am, and that 4 way stop sign was easy smeazy.Tip: look at the weather forecast, and if the heat is going to be really high (in the hundreds) I highly recommend not to do dry camping (dud). Even though I hung out most of the time in the swimming pool, the next day, I was totally exhausted. I just wanted to sleep (and we didn't have an air-conditioned room to sleep in). There are lots of things to do at LDS while being in the buff including hiking, swimming, tennis, pickleball, horse shoes , water volley ball, dancing and archery. There is lots of animals to be seen and heard. This last weekend we could hear the coyotes howling in the distance. There are snakes, and when we were hiking last summer, my friend had a close call with a rattlesnake (just watch where you walk and or sit in nature).BTW, you aren't allowed to take photos at LDS (for privacy reasons). So, I highly recommend going to Laguna del Sol if you like being in nature with no clothes. We look forward to our next visit."
"The Travelers Motel is in downtown Lodi where the perfect location is for evening dinner and a movie. Anyone single wanting a dating life close to home, who enjoys beer breweries and wine tasting and who might work in a small private office near by will love to live here. I myself am planning the move on purpose specifically to this location. The open loft style office space for lease near by will be ideal for an internet company and I hope to entertain overnight guests at a room in the Travelers Motel next to my own as it certainly is an affordable option for a startup like myself on a budget. TRAFFIC on 99 or I5 is easy to navigate so a quick trip North or South to many of the surrounding amenities Lodi, CA has to offer will be a delight for any out of town guests once conference calls are over with our over-seas investors...with that said; keep your dreams as big as your eyes can see, friends!"
"Not many complaints here other than the freeway noise but that was easily covered up by turning the fan on low. Check in was a breeze. The young man who checked me in was very friendly and helpful. He answered all of my questions and was full of knowledge. My room was great, I lucked out and got one farther from the freeway with no upstairs units either. The room was very clean and roomy. There was plenty of room to spread out. There was a nice bed, 2 end tables, a desk area, a nice comfy chair I drank my coffee and watch the news in, there is a separate "closet" area with plenty of room for your luggage and to hang things and then the bathroom was nice. Everything was updated and new. I was also pleasantly surprised to see a microwave and large fridge in the room. I always check beds before I get too comfortable in the room, the bed was clean and no sign of any critters! Also, I struggle with beds in hotels (I have a sleep # at home for a reason) and I slept really well both nights and didn't wake up in pain the next day so this is a HUGE WIN for me! Your stay includes free parking and continental breakfast which gets the job done. Overall, I really have no complaints. Price was very reasonable, check in was easy, staff was friendly, clean spacious room with everything you need and more, free parking and breakfast included. I would stay here again... but bring ear plugs next time."
"Great place to stay. The property is very clean and safe. You will like the gym and it's close to near by dining options."
"The work being done here is great. To see the revitalization of Old Sacramento and bringing the old buildings back to beauty is awesome. We look forward to Sean Finnegan's Pub opening soon where a bar has stood on that corner for over 100 years."

This is an average hotel but what makes it better then most is the friendly & accommodating staff, large CLEAN rooms, and they provide the necessary amenities you need for a comfortable stay. They have a gas station and excellent restaurant next door and there's even a bowling alley a very short walk away for some fun! We would stay here again.

Decent happy hour!I went here recently with some friends and was impressed again by their happy hour. I feel like Union is one of those places people pass on 1st St all the time and never try. If you are looking yo save some money while getting some good grub I definitely recommend giving them a try sometime. The only thing I wish they would change is if they could make those wings buffalo style. Don't get me wrong, the parmesan cheese is different and is a nice touch but hotwings are so classic when it comes to Happy Hour!

Unfortunately I did not get to stay here, but I am writing a review because of the way the staff and hotel handled everything. I especially want to thank Ryan Anderson for assisting me and my friend who I was going to visit. Long story short - I was driving north to see a friend in the Georgetown area, and planned to stay at El Capitan on my way home from the visit. The Crozier fire broke out in my friend's area, and she was given evacuation orders. I had to cancel my trip. I called El Capitan to explain the situation, and my friend also called and spoke with Ryan. They handled the it was grace and understanding and I really can't thank them enough. Both my friend and I were under duress and stress with this, and I cannot wait to rebook at actually enjoy staying at El Capitan!

This step back in time experience is really memorable. The neighborhood is quaint, the streets are full of trees and flowers. The house is out of a story book, large, white, stunning and inside is original furniture, dishes, carpets etc. It is like spending a night in a historic home that usually you can only do tours of- not live there! Jane does Everything possible to make the stay welcome. From home cooked beautifully served food on antique dishes, to explaining the history of things like the perfectly working phonograph from the early 1900's (sold for $65 back then which put it out of the league for most people).. Rose shaped soaps.. she cares so much about the details. She is the type of person who naturally takes care of people's needs, and you really feel the warmth. We really enjoyed our time there and plan to see Jane again next year.

Nice man running the place. I think other reviewers must have been friends or relatives. About the same quality as el Rancho next door. There is a hair ( not my own) on my very flat pillow. Dry rot in bathroom. I'll shower at the next motel. Good price. Old and funky. Loud. Thin walls and next to busy street. No wifi. Haven't seen TV reception like this since Poltergeist.

We enjoyed our stay here! It's right across from Six Flags lol so it's the perfect place to stay for that. Unfortunately I went on a weekday and for some reason Six Flags was only open on weekends! I loved the free coffee in the lobby, definitely one of the better hotel coffees with options for light and dark roast, decaf, and hot water. There are tea bags and stir sticks, napkins, and creamers. Our room had a king bed and it felt spacious with a couch, desk, mini fridge, and microwave. The toiletries smelled nice lol the hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. I enjoyed the hot tub! The jets were very strong and it was nice and hot and they have pool towels out there. They also have a nice fitness center, with four treadmills, weights, yoga balls, a bike, and an elliptical. The cherry on top is the hot breakfast with nice variety - scrambled eggs with cheese, potatoes, chicken sausage, and waffles. They also had some pastries like muffins, fruit, yogurt, and juices! Overall we had a really nice stay and had no issues. Great place for a great price and comfy stay.

These are beautiful rooms. The beds are so comfortable. The exterior is just as beautiful. It is pretty quiet considering you share a parking lot with several food businesses. The only bad thing was I asked for a coffee pot because mine has not worked yet. He asked for my room number and off he went. I am still waiting after 3 hours and now am off to work.

I haven't been in a few years, but whenever I do go, it's always an enjoyable experience! If you're like me -- someone who doesn't mind a little socializing, and will definitely chat with whoever happens to be friendly, but who also prefers a little self time to just unwind and relax -- this will definitely appeal to you, made all the better by the fact that you're getting sun in places where it usually doesn't shine!

"I've come here a few times for weddings and for the spa, but this was my first time eating here at the restaurant. We came to celebrate a bridal shower and loved our set up as well as live music. We all ordered the pink dragon cocktail and loved it so much, we ordered a second round. I ordered the steak & eggs and my daughter got the waffles. To my surprise, the waffle from the kid's menu was like an adult portion. Not complaining at all because I knew I was gonna help her eat it anyway. The steak & eggs were delicious as well! Our waiter and waitress were amazing!I would definitely return to enjoy other things!"
"Loved it! Clean and the staff are so helpful! Great location to the outlets and lots of places to eat close by."
"One night stay and wished we had more nights to stay longer. A fun boutique hotel retaining a lot of it characteristics from 1921 when it was built. Checkin was efficient and friendly. Stairs only to the second floor, so we traveled light. Full bar and dining available with a patio in the back.Dinner was great and the prices are exciting, dining in the Yukon last summer was a bargain. Room was comfortable with a claw foot bathtub/shower. Door was auto-lock so always have the key near by.Great hotel and town if you are visit Yosemite."
"This is Hubby and I's first time being in Napa. He had told me how he wanted to go horseback riding for his birthday, so I planned a mini trip out to Napa. The first place where I had wanted to book to stay was actually at Napa River Inn, but when I went to go book the room, the price went up by $100! I was not happy about that, so I decided to continue looking around for a different place to stay for our visit. I came across White House Napa Valley Inn and thought it was the cutest place. Rooms looked cozy and I read other Yelp reviews that just made me say "this is the place we're going to be staying at." I booked the King Deluxe Balcony for our trip.Upon arriving, we parked the car in the lot (there wasn't a lot of cars there but plenty of parking). I arrived and seen one of the staff giving a tour to another guest, so I waited for my turn to check in. They told me that the room that I had booked ended up having a pipe burst so they had to change my room. I was a bit sad about the change, but the staff has been so kind and they also offered us a complimentary bottle of wine due to the change. We totally forgot to remind them about the complimentary bottle of wine that they were going to give us.After checking in they gave us a tour of the place. I love that their pool area is open 24/7, but during the hours of 10 PM-7 AM guests are not to be loud due to the neighbors next door. The guest space is also open 24/7 as well. Complimentary breakfast is form 8 AM to 10 AM and it's a grab and go type of breakfast that changes every morning. I really really enjoyed how they do their breakfast, it's very unique and I enjoyed it. From 5 PM to 6 PM, they have wine hour and I thought that this was a very great idea to do. It gives you a chance to get to know the other guests here and interact or just to enjoy some wine and cheese. All the guests that we've encountered during our stay was so sweet and it was great just seeing familiar faces. There is no refrigerator in the rooms, but they do have a fridge in the dining area for all guests to share, as well as water, tea and coffee on hand thorough the day/night.Hubby and I really enjoyed our time here and we are definitely going to be coming back here for our future stay. At first Hubby thought it looked creepy from the outside but the place grew on him and we truly loved being here. I'm so glad that my first pick in places to stay didn't work out, because we found ourselves a better one. Thank you White House Napa Valley Inn for an amazing stay!"
"Of I could give it 1/2 star I would. Now I normally do not like to give a bad review of any establishment but when you do not email or text to address an issue that brought "quietly" to your attention so not to alarm other guests, I would guess you would want to contact the guest. This was NOT the case.My son and I checked in Thursday afternoon and had booked the room through Priceline. I did this because it was an unexpected delay in our trip after returning from overseas. The room was 'ok' reminded me of a motel 6 with double drapes, two queen bed beds, run down carpet, and a very small bathroom. I should have taken photos of the tub because it was stained. Again too tired to complain.Went to bed and slept through the night.the bed is worn, sunken in but it was fine. I did notice how loud it was at night -from the tenants partying all night. The next day I woke up with bites. Didn't think anything about it then my son said he noticed bites on his legs. The next day we woke up with more bites. The bites were lined up and it looked like bed bugs!!! I've traveled to a lot of places and countries and never experienced bed bugs! I looked for another hotel and when we came down to check out there were other folks checking out & I wanted to be discreet about the bed bugs so I let the other patrons go first. I showed the receptionist the bites and explained he should have our room fumigated because my son and I were bitten by bed bugs and o was heading to Urgent Care. He asked me if there's anything They can do and I did say "I'll wait to hear from management". He confirmed he had my number. Well it been more than 24 hours & no call or text. Hope this never happens to anyone.Stayed here 7/28/22."
"The definition of "hidden gem"! Located right in the middle of downtown Ione is the Ione hotel and I've been wanting to try this place out for years. I am seriously shocked at how good the food was and the overall experience. My girlfriend kept saying how the inside reminded her of how the titanic looked on the inside and I can definitely see that. The food was amazing. The menu had a bunch of great options to choose from but we went for the sirloin steak & shrimp scampi for entrees. Before the main course we ordered a plate of boneless wings (1/2 lemon pepper 1/2 buffalo). I can't tell but I think this were cut up and trimmed in house because I've never had boneless wings like this. They usually resemble chicken nuggets but these had a different shape to them. They were golden brown and fried to perfection with an amazing crunch! The flavors were just right and made the whole plate delicious. Like seriously I would go back just for the boneless wings. If you come here come HUNGRY because the portions are huge. My steak came with a choice of about 5 sides to choose from AND either soup or salad AND garlic bread. I went for the minestrone soup and I was very pleased. It was almost closer to a chili than minestrone but I enjoyed every single drop. It had a little kick of spicy that I loved! My steak was cooked to perfection and was a huge cut. Served with a big side of rice pilaf & veggies made it the perfect dinner for me. My girlfriend loved her shrimp scampi especially with the risotto and she ate them together as one. She liked how cheesy and creamy the risotto was. We also each got a desert to take home (we haven't tried them yet but they are huge). The prices of everything are really amazing as well! We had so much food and the total was around $75. Overall if you're in the area at all you should definitely stop in and eat here. You will not be disappointed!! I can't wait to go back!!"
"I had to come to town to take care of some personal business, and I found this place for $83 total after the military discount. Very reasonable. A nice hotel in a good location. The front desk clerk was friendly, and the lobby area was spotless. The pool/jacuzzi and the fitness center were closed due to Covid, but I don't know if the pool would even be open this time of year, anyway. They have a selection of frozen food such as lean cuisine, frozen pizza, frozen entrees, and drinks for sale. Coffee and tea are available for free. The room was good. Spotless room and bathroom, plenty of hot water, Good sized TV with plenty of channels, a fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker are also available. They have a desk area if you need to work on your laptop computer or something like that. The internet is fast enough to stream video. The bed was a bit firm for my personal taste but I still got a good night's sleep. The one thing that I was disappointed at, was while they said they offered a free breakfast on their webpage, they had absolutely nothing. I can understand the normal breakfast bar being closed because of covid. However, they could at least do something. Offer a carton of yogurt and some fruit. How about an individual cold cereal with a individual carton of milk? Nothing. In all that food they had for sale, they didn't even have anything breakfast wise for sale. Other than that, it was a good night. I would stay here again. Thanks."
"One the best places I have ever stayed! Especially with how reasonable the prices are. Working heat, cool plus a fridge and microwave."
"Now I'm not rating this motel compared to ALL motels, as it would fall short to the more expensive ones, of course. I'm comparing it to its own class. This place was $65 including tax! and I expected the worst. Suprised, the place was very clean, plenty of well lit parking, easy to get too, and shares a parking lot with a 24 hour Denny's Diner, that was not busy at all. The night waitress had an amazing personality. There seemed to be a pretty hoppin bar (least for a Weds) across street, named Molly's are something. I didn't go, but staying here, you do have social options. I came in a day early than reserved, as a stop over to Redding from LA. Bad planning, as I was more worried about getting up there to see family when Carr fires broke out. I arrived around 11pm and the check-in lady was so nice, sweet, and funny. She really helped me out with changing my mistaken reservation date and no extra charges. She even was concerned that I adjust my reservations in Redding, ASAP, so I'm not out of a place to stay. The room was nice, great shower, clean and the A/C was amazing. So much that I actually did to turn it down in 100+ degree weather! As some other people mentioned the sounds of hookers and crackheads, I saw or heard none of that. I will definitely make this a regular stop on any more trips to far north CA."
"I loved loved LOVED my stay at the Sugar Pine Ranch. The bf and I stayed in Cottage 3, which I think is supposed to be one of the roomier cottages. It was very clean and well kept. The cottages are pretty simple: bed, table with two chairs, some simple games, a fireplace, and a porch with two chairs. No refrigerator in the room, but a communal guest fridge is available in the main house. There is a fireplace in the room, which can be controlled by the thermostat. We made the mistake of falling asleep the first night with the fireplace set to "on", and the room was blazing hot! There's also an A/C unit for those hot summer days. There's plenty of outlets in the room, in case you can't "unplug" from life, with plenty of spaces to plug in two phones, a laptop, and probably more if you wanted. There is no TV. No cellphone service (or minimal if you are lucky enough to pick up a signal). No landline in the cottage. Wi-Fi is available for an extra cost.Other relevant things: The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was pretty good. The toilet water pressure was definitely super strong. We were here during the off-season unfortunately, so we didn't get to enjoy the complimentary simple breakfast that gets delivered to the door. We also didn't get to enjoy the lovely-looking pool at the top of the hill, surrounded by all forest trees. There isn't another property nearby. The town of Groveland is about a 5 minute drive west, and the main gate to Yosemite is about a 30 minute drive east. Overall it felt great to be surrounded by nature and to take a little break from life.In addition, I think the price was pretty comparable (or lower) than the other places within a 10 minute driving radius."
"First time staying here. I really just wanted an overnight staycation so I could swim and relax. It is right across the street from 6 flags also but they were closed this day. The lady that checked me in was amazingly friendly and helpful. I was on the 4th floor and on the way to the room it reeked of weed. Ironically near room 420. Lol. But later that evening the smell cleared. My room was lovely. Big comfy bed. Very clean. Microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. Large bathroom. I just should not have pulled the desk chair out. It was so ratty and gross. Like absolutely ridiculously ratty. It seemed like a joke. But aside from that the room was great. The pool was also perfect for what I wanted. Decent size and space and since six flags was closed it was very quiet out there. I went down to the lobby to have a glass of wine and order some dinner to take to my room. No let's get one thing straight. This is not a restaurant as you would think of it. Walk up counter that does have wine and some hard liquor. And a small menu of mostly apps. I ordered the burger with bacon and some chicken wings. The girl running the bar and food counter was wonderful!!!! So friendly, welcoming and helpful!!! She deserves a raise! The wings were good. Just classic Buffalo. The burger however was pretty bad. Well not bad.....but not good. It's basically a precooked frozen burger patty (I'm assuming) that was reheated. It really wasn't bad. The problem was the bun. It was clearly stale and was toasted so it was very very rough. Hard to bite through. I did finish it because it did taste good just hard to chew. Lol. The general men that checked me out was wonderfully friendly and helpful as well. Overall I had a great stay. But hotel management needs to BURN that desk chair!!! Now it is not a great area so don't leave anything in your car."
"We didn't know really what to expect but were pleasantly surprised by the large room and bath. The room was very clean when we arrived. Of note are the exceptional staff who are super friendly, personable and helpful. Due to the poor cell reception in the area they made dinner reservations for us. Nice. The motel wi-fi is weak in rooms but we worked around that by checking our texts and e mail nearer to the office. There is a very nice and peaceful sitting area in the back of the motel which was nice to get out of the room. One suggestion is to request a room as far back from the road as possible. While the traffic and subsequent noise is OK in the later evening it can be really loud in the morning, like lots of truck noise and the occasional motorcycle."
"Review #160 - 2020This review was previously written as a 3-star, but then my son came home and realized a few days later that he had forgotten his $200 Ferragamo belt in one of the drawers.Normally, my son shares a room with his younger sister and I; but since his cousins begged him to stay with them, he couldn't say no. If he'd stayed in the same room as us, he would've never forgotten anything because I always tell him to double check everything. He called the owner on Thursday, August 27th, and the owner said he had the belt in his possession. Thank goodness! The owner told us that he would mail it to us--as long as I provided my credit card info to pay for the shipping fee (which I had no problem with), but he didn't know when he would have the time to head to the post office. Fast forward to Monday, August 31st, and the belt arrived safely in our mailbox! Talk about staying on top of it!The hotel may be a 3-star stay, but customer service is definitely 10-star worthy!Thank you!!!----------------------------------------------I previously booked a cabin for 12 people about two months ago and as our trip drew near, the group size grew to 16 people so the cabin owner had to cancel our reservation the day before our trip.I was pretty disappointed because all my nieces and nephews were super excited about staying at the cabin. Sadly, they weren't able to accommodate us so I had to start looking for a back up plan.I was able to book four rooms at The Christmas Tree Inn at $160/night. Luckily, my siblings weren't too disappointed with the last minute change. We showed up at around 4 PM on Saturday, August 22nd for an overnight stay. Check-in was super quick and easy. My siblings actually showed up about an hour before me since I had to make a few stops to pick up food & drinks for our group. The owner was nice & easy going. He didn't make a big deal out of the fact that I forgot my mask. Check out was just as easy. He just told us to leave our keys in the room and close the door. The room was clean, but pretty outdated. The a/c worked very well, thank goodness, because it was 90° out plus the smoke from the fire didn't help. There's a picnic table right out front so we made good use of it for our late lunch and breakfast the next morning. There's plenty of available parking since our group was probably the only ones there. The hotel is less than half an hour away from Pinecrest Lake, which was nice."
"Pulling into this place didn't seem to bad until we got out the car and walked towards the office., walls are dirty, outlets hanging out the wall, broken wall boarders. The door says non smoking but there's matches and a ashtray lol shit we smoked in the room anyways.. By yeah, never again."
"This is one of those cute places off the main road that we have driven past for many years. For our anniversary this year, my husband booked two nights here. It's not only beautiful, but the managers were so friendly and fun. They made everyone feel at ease! They have a lovely wine and charcuterie each evening, and a nice light breakfast bar in the morning. The decor is beautifully Victorian. It was so quiet! Most of us staying here we're middle aged, but there was a wedding party of cute younger people who were very respectful. I have to say, we have never stayed in a cleaner place. Everything down to the floor was spotless. We will definitely return many more times! Loved our stay!"
"We love that it's well gated & provides parking . We also love the management, the other tenants & the friendly pets. Over all aI am compelled to write this review because my experience with the landlord & the Lindsay apartments were amazing. The only other review I found on Yelp was not favorable . I signed a 90-day contract at a nearby hospital. I was in dyer need of housing so I signed onto the 30-day stay requirement. To my surprise I found this place to be more than I could ever want & had every thing I needed. Not only did I complete my 90-day assignment there , I extended . I just think the other review was a mistake . And I felt I had to do something about it. So there you have it. The landlord is hilarious & makes you welcome!"
"Booked this place without reading other reviews because we were just staying one night, was the cheapest place on kayak, and I'm usually a motel-6er when traveling on my own dime. We lasted about 10 minutes before we turn around and left and booked another hotel...this place is truly the scary end-of-the-road for many sad souls. Figured we wouldn't sleep worrying about what the lurkers in the parking lot would do to our cars...had someone yelling and playing guitar outside of our door...Johns waiting in cars in the parking lot...a tweeker greeting folks as they walked into the hallways, which are left open to visitors in the night. Some permanent residents in the rooms as well. The staff/owner(?) looked like one of the most desolate people I've ever seen in my life. Really sad place. Spend the extra money to get a safe place if you're passing through Stockton."
"Im commenting on the preview reviews and yeah I agree, this place is no W hotel as other people expect it's a Motel for crying out loud! My experience has always been satisfactory, staff has good customer skills (now run by a younger couple) and the rooms are clean! Ive stayed in larger chain hotels where I was rudely awakened by noise or bugs eeewww! No such case here yeah rooms might be a little outdated but I dont think not one person staying in a motel goes there to see the latest interior design and decorations trends. At the end the ceiling is always white....."
"Stayed here on our way to Sacramento. Everything within a 45 mile radius was sold out. It was nice to finally have a place to stay. The late night front desk guy was super friendly. He quoted us $85 for our room and the final price ended up only being $75 +tax. The room was small but just enough. Mini fridge was super useful. Will stay here again"
"I stayed here for 2 nights and I would absolutely come back here. From the staff to the actual room, I had no complaints. Given that this location was only built a little over a year ago, I loved that it still had a brand new feel. Highlights of this hotel:*Lobby doors only open for hotel guests-- I was a little weirded out by this at first but I appreciated it in the end because I felt safe knowing that only the front desk people could let us in. After having a hotel room broken into in Vegas a few years back, it's these things that put me at ease.*Clean spacious room that has a microwave + nightlight in the bathroom so you can see when you have to use it in the middle of the night. *Shampoo/ Conditioner/ Shower gel in the shower for you to use. Just in case you forget your stuff, you can use theirs. They also used the "Zero" brand which proudly boasts zero sulfates, zero parabens, zero phthalates, zero artificial colors, and zero animal testing.. Loved this. Apparently this is exclusive to the Hilton brand of hotels so kudos for carrying this line. *Filtered water on the bottom floor to fill up your water canteens.*Free Breakfast in the mornings which included an oatmeal station, sausage egg McMuffins or eggs + country potatoes depending on the day, cereal station with milk, juices, fresh coffee, bread + simple muffins, and my personal favorite: waffle station with 2 flavors of waffle batter (Regular and Birthday batter with sprinkles). The waffle station also had whipped cream, syrup, mini chocolate chips, and chocolate syrup*Fresh Coffee all day. I love it when hotels do this. And the best part of this hotel.. Drumroll.. Sonya!!!! If you've read other reviews and see her name on them, there's reason for it. She was just a pleasure to talk to: charming, full of kindness, big hearted and genuine. Not to mention had the best sense of humor. If you're needing a hotel to stay in Concord, don't hesitate to stay here. Another reviewer mentioned that it was a bad area. I did notice that there was a 24 hour liquor store next to it with people milling around right outside the parking lot but I never had any issue with them. I never felt unsafe. Another note: Parking is $10/ day here."
"This is a brand new hotel opened in July 2021. So, it's modern, clean, and stylish. I'm so happy that the guest room is clean, spacious, and well appointed. I also love the location. The area is very quiet and seems safe. There are shopping centers at the highway (I-80) entrance/exit (0.5 mile from the hotel) where you can find In-N-Out, Starbucks, Panda Express, and other restaurants (if you are not picky). If you want more options, downtown West Sacramento is only about 5 minutes and down Sacramento only about 10 minutes. Parking is free, and there's a lot of it. Parking spaces are generous in size. There are even covered parking slots behind hotel. They also serve complimentary breakfast. We used to stay at the Marriott in Midtown Sacramento. It's a much older hotel, and parking costs $15 per night. So, I decided to reallocate the $15 and decided to stay in West Sacramento. I cannot be happier.************************************************************If you found my review helpful, please smash the "useful" button! "This is not an active motel. It's fallen in disrepair. They have a sign out encouraging truckdrivers to stay, park their rigs. So far only one. I love the signage and pink paint. Classic Lincoln Highway motel"
