"Review #012 - 2023My two older sisters and I have been doing a lot of walking, but we don't get to hike too often.I decided to take them out to Shell Ridge on Monday, November 13th.We showed up at around 9:45 AM and it was still pretty warm considering it's almost fall and I was expecting the weather to be much cooler by this time of year.Luckily, this area has a decent amount of shade so we didn't get too hot before we finished our 3-mile hike. We came across a lot of friendly hikers & their dogs and a good amount of bikers.I've been here before, but we didn't get to hike out this far since we came with our Cub Scout and they didn't want to wear the kids out too much.My sisters said they really enjoyed the hike since it wasn't too strenuous, at least according to the path we chose. They are willing to come back with me again so that's a very good sign. There's a decent amount of benches along the trails, should you need a place to rest. However, we didn't see any restrooms--so, it's probably best to come after you've already emptied your bladder."
"In the northern side of natomas they have a few dog parks but this one has more paws running and playing then the others. I haven't encounterd any vicious dogs, some have been a bit scared or frightened, some are dominant and bark but the owners let everyone know and explain there trying to socialize them. If they go a bit to much they leave, no harm done. Make sure you know your dog and how to read dogs tails, voices barks, and there hair if it spikes up or not. This will give you a good sense on how they are or whats about to happen!During the morning there is usually a steady crowd of friends who meet up and play. Then there is also the night crowd who do the same. There is the 25+lb dog side and the under 25lb side to keep them separately, but for those who have both the little ones come too. And for as many as i have seen have been great. They do have water fountains/bubblers on both sides for the dogs, kids and adult size in one! A few benches to rest on while your puppy or dog has its own fun. They dont have much shade unless you get the two below the canopy and you come at the right point of the day when the sun is above. There is some wildlife around from jackrabbits, birds, geese and more. On a quiet morning you can hear all of them chirping and squawking. Peaceful at times. There's a few little hills, spacious room, grass and dirt track, and the fence between the 2 sides so if your dogs like to chase the dogs on other side they have some room to do it.The only down fall here is the mud and recreational maintenence. They have had a lot of over watering do to broken sprinklers. Took for ever and a few talks with them directly but finally got it fixed. There was some major puddles and holes that were left by the water and dogs playing in it. But before the rain season came they fixed it. So hopefully now they will stick to fixing it faster and maybe stop by and add some dirt to few holes. Save someone a sprained ankle or even a dog leg broken. (I know of one (human)that has happened already). But when it come to the rainy season and your dog loves the mud this will be a great place for you to visit. Also like every where you go watch were you step, cause if slide just a little you know what you stepped in. Because not all people are respectful, curtious, and a good pet owner and clean up after there pet/dog/child like some call them. For the regulars who come we leave extra bags and offer them to those who turn there heads away as they notice whats happening, or play the ahhh i forget my bags at home trick. Most dog parks dont offer them anymore. :(There will always be new dogs coming and going! Hopefully you will find some who fur friends for your fur friend to play and have fun with. There is also a kids playground, water like area during summer time, and a few basball fields here too, but that has anither yelp page named the same as this one, but has the playground under the name and this one is named for dog park."
"Ruff, zooom, honk, rufff, woof and zooom again. Its located right over the highway 50 west bound wall. So it is a bit noisy from traffic but if your looking for a distraction while training your dog or puppy this is the place to be. They also have few items for agility and show like training. They have the tunnel its about 5 feet or so its a big plastic one not a forgiven cloth collapsible kind. Then on to the metal A frame which is pretty decent in size. Then finally they have the black bars that stick in the ground for weaving in and out of. We got our puppy to do a few runs around the A frame and my wife was able to get him through the tunnel. There is plenty of shade and seats available, water fountain for both humans and dogs. They also have a few rakes, shovel and pooper scoopers so you can cleanup after your dogs if you forget bags, because like many of the parks they can no longer provide them. Also they have a sign for the doggy diggers please fill in the wholes they make. Im guessing safety reasons, i stumbled through a whole while playing with my dog. Good signage and they have the tools you need to "get er done" with. Save a hip or something and please fill your pet holes back up! Good deeds and responsibilities go a long way, plus "KARMA" is a (female dog, fox or otter, i googled it) B!+€#.Overall the park has some great qualities and not so good qualities. It just depends on you and your dog needs. But just one more bone of info to toss to you, it is next to a few babseball fields, the highway on the other and a bunch of trees with some squirrels the day we went.So the barking, the car/truck noise and possibly a game going on, dont think you have a quiet day here, but it makes for some great training if your at the distraction level of it!"
"I love this dog park! The view in the afternoon is spectacular! Often when the weather is nice I see couples and families sitting at the top of the hill enjoying the sunset. *sigh*The people are so friendly that come to this park and the dogs are great too. This is the best dog park in Livermore!Ok, so here's how you get there....Off of North Livermore headed towards the 580, make a right and then a left on Cromwell. Make a right on Westminster and a left on Lambeth and park. You will see a play ground and a path/road that service vehicles use. It's paved, so either walk the path all the way up or hike up and over the hill. The hill isn't that big and your dog(s) will love it. Parking is the only thing that's lacking in this area. It's all street and it's all on a pretty steep hill. Sometimes if you come later in the evening like I do, you may need to wear something to kill the wind chill and some bug spray. Enjoy!"
"We love this dog park. The park reopened after months of being down due to the remod. There are two parks of the park, small dog entry and bigger dog park. The small dog park is a long concrete run until you reach turf. The big dog park has a nice concrete trail with benches and plenty of turf and wood chips to run to our hearts desire. There's plenty of dog bags for poop patrol. I, (Jackson) likes to steal the tennis balls but we always bring them back so the other dogs can play with them. There's also a water hose for the thirsty dogs. The only downside is that sometimes the gate isn't always open in the morning but overall this is our favorite place to run. Review made by the huskies: Jackson, Maya, Laika"
"Over all, its a chill and fun dog park. Its our Fourth time here with my service puppy. She is very well trained, polite and social with dogs and cats and humans. Be aware that racists and jerks do feel entitled to use this public dog park but also expect whomever they dislike not to. This am my dog caught a TENNIS BALL of another dog and its human. I ran up on him witnessing him hitting my dog with his hands smacking her on both ears. He gestured a kick but missed her. I said WTf Is wrong with you, why are you trying to get killed? He says" well hey, its my ball, it MY BALL..." like ....Its a tennis ball. Shes a puppy Its a dog park.I told anyone coming near and in while we were still here not to let their dog near his if it likes balls, because only he and his dog can play with the sacred tennis ball. My dog is Brenda Bloom and she loves it here... Ill be bringing pepper spray with me. I got caught slipping. Im dumb for thinking it be chill early on a Sunday. Hate don't have a watch or calendar."
"We were driving into Sacramento to spend the night after being on the road for about 10 hours with our two dogs. Our mastiff puppy, who is almost one year old, had refused to go to the bathroom at any of pitstops along the drive so we thought that maybe she'd go at a dog park. I googled and yelped dog parks along the route to our hotel but wasn't familiar with any of the areas. The first one I found ended up looking sketchy so we decided to try this one instead. We were pleased that it looked to be in a better part of town and had large areas for both big and small dogs. Since we have a 90+ pound mastiff puppy and a 16 pound pug who thinks she's a big dog, we decided that the big dog park would be a better fit for us. Our pug has grown up with a mastiff by her side practically her whole life (she was best friends with our first mastiff who we lost to cancer last year for 8.5 years) so she's not concerned about the size of any dog and can take care of herself. Both dogs had a great time exploring and checking out the other local dogs. We only witnessed one incident of a somewhat aggressive dog but it was across the park from us and I'm not sure what the whole situation was but it seemed to have been resolved quickly. There's also little stickers that can get stuck in the dogs' paws so you may want to keep an eye out. I saw a dog lift its paw for help a couple of times while we were there. One word of warning if you're coming near sunset. The entrance to the park can be blinding with the sun glaring right into the windshield. We had to slow down and squint to find the entrance and another person ended up colliding with the barrier while we were at the park."
"BarkleyVille Dog Park is a nice dog park that I visited with my husband and our little girl dog 2 weeks ago. We came on a Friday afternoon, around 3:15 pm. Unfortunately no one was around so we just explored this park ourselves. This park has 3 separate gated areas. One is for the small dog park (dogs in this part of the park can be no more than 25 lbs), another side is for large dogs and lastly is an agility area. The small dog park definitely has the cute things on their side of the park like these large dog collars with tags that have quotes on them (check out my fellow Yelp member photos) and cute bone benches that are made of concrete. The large dog park side doesn't have anything like that in their area. I love the agility course that was set up and enjoyed trying to get my dog to go up on the ramps and jump through the different squares (which she would only do for treats). One thing to make mention is that in both the small and big dog side of the park, there is grass. But in the agility course area, it is dirt. When walking through the small dog park side, part of the grass was really wet and muddy (so just be careful where you walk in case you happen to find yourself on this side of the park). Poop bag dispensers are available in the park, along with a pooper scooper. There is also a fountain for both humans and dogs in case they need to hydrate (although I would recommend you bring your own water for your pup because I don't know how clean the fountain for dogs is). I think this is a really nice dog park and wished one like this was closer by me. If I lived in the area, I would probably be a regular."
"Not an easy place to get to but worth it if you make it back here. Just follow the other yelpers review on how to get here and you'll make it just fine."
"**********WARNING*********************WARNING*********************WARNING***********This dog park for sure deserves 5 stars, but just recently a newcomer has come and ruined it for two of us dog owners . Middle Eastern woman that drives a platinum grey 2012 Honda Civic . She carries a large stick (to beat her dogs if they don't cooperate) and owns 2 Siberian Huskies light grey coats about the same age with Red Collars and Red Leashes . First Attack happened to our dog on April 30th, 2017Second Attack happened to a different owner of a wiener dog on May 9th, 2017"

Fossil Hill trail is where the wildflowers are blooming! Please be mindful of where you are walking and stay on the trail!Enjoy the beautiful sights of poppies and other wildflowers! I was here today 4.15.24 and it's going strong! If you need to get some air after doing taxes come and get some relaxing sights! The area is just beautiful and lush, so green and mossy in certain parts of the trail. There are no bathrooms so just be prepared. The murky grey pond with the ducks bobbing up and down is so cute. Parking lot is extremely small, literally an 8 car lot. You'll most likely have to park in the neighborhood but please be mindful and respect the homes and driveways. Enjoy and hope tax day isn't too horrible for you! Enjoy friends!

Combined with the aquatic center, this is a great park for triathlon training. It has a beautiful cycling/running trail that goes around and through the park, and you can easily put together training rides and runs that have little to no interaction with cars. You can also easily practice your "brick" workouts, opting to swim-run, swim-bike, bike-run, or even do all three! There's also a super nice playground and splash pad. While I'd like to see more trees here, all in all, this is a nice park for triathlon training!

As of 2017 December / 2018 January, it's fairly muddy and deserted; the park around it is being renovated or worked on in some capacity, so parking and finding the entrance can be a little tricky. All in all, it's a nice little place to let the doggos go off leash and party it up.

Don't let the pictures fool you, there is no grass in the enclosed dog park area. The fenced dog area is on top of a little hill and is a pretty big area. I have a chuck-it for my dog and I can throw it all the way to the other end. It is on a hill, so keep that in mind, but for me and my dog, the hill is perfect because it tires him out faster and he can build those "thigh muscles". All of the grass pictures for this location are right outside of the fenced dog area, which I do see people with their off-leash dogs. For me, I would rather go in the actual dog area so I can be as worry free as possible. You'll find poop left from irresponsible owners, but that seems to be the case in the tri-valley area. There is a bucket under a water faucet, but other than that, there is no actual dog fountain.

This park has all the room to run for big dogs. Picnic tables and benches for you to sit on. They keep tennis balls and slingers to play fetch with your dogs. A really cool big tree my dogs had fun climbing on. Some rings to jump through. There's a smaller area for little dogs as well. Excited to go back. When I went they didn't have water working yet though, so bring water for your pups!

Love this park! It's so big and spacious. The main reason I love it is because most dog owners who go understand that dogs play rough. Dogs growl, bark, and nip when they play and if you have more than one dog or take your dog frequently to the dog park you should know this. This dog park is not for the weak. So if you feel that dogs growling/barking while playing is "attacking" this dog park isn't for you! I just had one woman with a labradoodle who thought she could tell me that my dog wasn't meant for the dog park because my dog was playing rough though her dog was playing back. Then another lady thought she can order me to put my dog on a leash...and yes, yes they were. My dogs go four times a week and have had no problems with other dogs because most people seem to understand dogs like to play rough. Just hate when new dog owners show up and don't understand this. This is also not a park for small dogs that cannot handle big dogs. There is no separate play area for smaller dogs so a small dog need to be tough or just enjoy playing with larger dogs. There is also no doggy bags available so you have to take your own. The dogs drink water out of buckets, I wish they would install a dog drinking fountain. Other than that, great park!

I love how big this location is! So much room to chuck the tennis ball! There's tables and random chairs around in the shade and a great water source for pups to hydrate. It's also got a much better parking situation than Midtown's Truitt Bark Park. This dog park is actually very well kept and does bring a good crowd. What I love most is you can always count on other dogs to be here! Rhett always has a buddy to play with no matter the time of day. Note: There are some sticker weeds in the back part. Watch their paws!

"WOW what a dog park!!! Lodi peeps you are spoiled!! I have never seen a dog park this big that is completely fenced. This place is unreal. The greenest grass but Maybe a slightly bad time it looked freshly cut and was damp from a little rain that morning so it got kinda all over my shoes and stuck there, but wow again! My pups couldn't get enough. They ran, rolled, played, sniffed - they were so happy and so was I! There were actually barely any other dogs there I think weather related one of the local ladies that I asked about the park told me. This is a huge step up from my go to dog park back home. This place just keeps going and going. Highly recommended if your dog needs to get energy out and you can also get some steps in!"
"I've been there a number of times with my son's pugs, but we've always been the only ones there. Yelpers, tell your friends. This place is new and not well known, and we need to get more people using it. It's the only one in the county, and dog owners have been asking for this for years."
"American Legion Park on Baker Pl in Stockton, California. I used to live down the street from here about four years ago. I would bring my children here to come and play when they were all younger. I have a lot of great memories at this park. We would get some crackers and feed the ducks in the little pond they have here. Have picnics and play in the playground. Now time is moving so fast and my youngest feels like she's to old to play at this park. Because the playground is built for the younger kids and my baby girl is a big girl now at age 9 :) Making beautiful memories everywhere we go is how we roll. Doing what this Daddy does best, spending time with my children. My children are my world and everything else in life is a bonus.Vincent D aka VD aka Vebola aka Vincent Vega. Enjoying the simple things in life."
"Love this park. It has twoseparate sides small and large. The park is always clean and lots of grass for the dogs run."
"Probably my favorite dog park in Sacramento. It's huge, has incline, and has a cool tunnel for your dog to run through (although i don't recommend dogs going through it during the fall/winter or after it rains - it gets pretty muddy in there). There is a lot of places to sit and a lot of places for your dog to run around! It is right next to the Jacinto park, where you can also walk your dog (on a leash), have a picnic, or take your kids to the playground. The dog park regulars are really nice, I have had no issues with other dog owners. There is plenty of street parking!"
"Best dog park in Lodi....but don't go there. Why? Because you won't like the clean, green grass. You will gag at the sight of nice, local patrons who enjoy talking to you and are friendly. Don't get me started on the ease of parking. Way too much if you ask me. (see ya there)"
"The skate park is really great, if you want to smoke or drink or meet the police. It's not that it's bad for skating, but there isn't as much of that kind of activity. Most everyone complained and sat. That was an improvement over my first two visits over one year ago.I stayed quite a while on Sunday and the police threatened to arrest me and someone else for being there after dark. It is a misdemeanor. I thought that i was in Dublin from the attitude of the police. Something tells me that they were bored."
"Great safe place to take my pups in substitute for a backyard, they love it and know it when we pull up where they are. Only wish they had lights for the time change."
"Who let the dog's out?? Hopefully you took them and let them be somewhat free in here. It's a leash free fully fenced area for your dogs to run free in a sense. It has a few benches for the humans to sit on while the dogs burn some energy. The area is pretty good sized and has a few trees too for some shade in the summer and dogs to claim as there's spot. I have been a few times now and one day was muddy do the very much needed rain in California. Then the next few times there was a few dogs. It was great with no dogs the 1st time because we all got to see and get a feel for the place without dogs being dogs trying to make friends and not listen. Well mine is only a little over 4 months now so we are still training with him. Ok back to the barking.. i mean park. They have 2 dog poop bag areas, and trash for doggie waste and a water fountain for them to get there drank on! i would still bring your own bags cause they were both empty so far for the bags, and water fountain was kinda clean even for a dog, but still keep water on yourself just incase, could be really dirty or even shutoff next time like having kids and dogs always have to be prepared for them. The best part of walking the dog park was that i didn't even step in 1 pile or even find a pile being left behind from anyone. That was amazing and very refreshing to see people cleaning up!! High 5 to all who come here and to the ones everyday around this world that pick up after there pets! You are awesome and i thankyou bunches. I have stepped in a few at apartment complex were they have 5 stations fully stocked with bags and people still don't. :O/They also have a big plastic container with some toys people either leave behind or donate im guessing and theres a lot of tennis balls in here. It's open from sunrise to sunset, it is located in the back of bannon creek park fenced behind the school. But if you come down bannon creek st. You will see a black n white sign with a dog and a arrow, so you can follow the sign and the dog will use his sense of smell maybe, and you should find your way. Happy barking and have a wagging tail of a time."
"We accidentally went to this park - in search of the other Rotary park in Sonora. I am so glad that we did. Sunrise Rotary Dog Park is quite lovely. There are dividers for the dog park - so if you have a small dog or bigger dog - you can pick which side you think would be best. The park also features a rock climbing area for kids and a community garden. You must have a dog to access the dog run area, but there were some comfortable benches outside of the fenced in areas, that offered beautiful views of the landscape if you wanted to just enjoy the nearby scenery. There are also shaded picnic benches nearby - if you plan on enjoying a mellow afternoon here.I talked with some of the dog owners during my brief time at this dog park - and everyone seemed very friendly. If you have a dog and are looking to meet fellow dog owners - I highly suggest you checking out this peaceful dog park. If are you are looking to test out your green thumb - you can also apply to be part of the Sonora Rotary community garden here - http://nebula.wsimg.com/244db779a6a0f5fbedbb56c7570ecdb1?AccessKeyId=CEDA253B1864EADD0AB2&disposition=0&alloworigin=1 . "Love this park so much. It's the only park I feel safe at walking at any time of the day. There's so many events that go on here!- the same dudes playing basketball LITERALLY on the daily.- soccer practices- football practices- baseball/softball practices- parties under the big gazebo thing- the AWESOME dog park!- running on the trail along the deltaThings to be aware of!- if you're gonna have a party here, clean up after yourself. You're adults.- running on the trail, there are garter snakes here (comes in black and yellow, and also tan/brown)! They are NOT NOT NOT poisonous. Just go around them!- if you bring kids into the dog park, stay near them as not ALL dogs are children friendlyWhile I love this park tons (because I don't feel safe at the park near my house due to lunatics), I wish people had common sense! Clean up after yourselves. This park was meant for everyone to feel safe to run around freely. We can't do that trampling over your three day old trash in the grass. Keep Stockton clean and friendly. Otherwise, don't expect Stockton to get any better if you can't make it better."
"Kiwanis Bark Park 1 & 2 is located in the City of Galt California. The fairly large dog park complex connects to Monterey Park. Here you will find park #1 mainly for the larger dogs and dog park #2 for the smaller dogs. Both areas are fairly large in size with both having benches to sit while your dog runs wild, ramps for your dog to climb, hoops to jump through, and tubes to run through. I don't know who will be more exhausted , the dog or you after spending the day here !This is a great looking and well maintained dog park ! Dog friendly all the way !"
"This is an excellent place to bring dogs to. It's located behind the police station, near the senior center or next to the park and recreation department. It comes with normal amenities such as a people/dog water fountain, poop bags, and ample room for large and small dogs. Each park has obstacles, trees for shade, and bone shaped benches. My min pin has never had any problems with any dogs here. I sometimes let her roam in the big dog pen, if she wants to. You get to know people here and you come across them walking through town."
"A hidden gem in West Sacramento! The only other dog park that I knew of in West Sacramento is Sam Combs Park off Jefferson and Stone Blvd, but am glad to find another one in the West SIDE! Brought my whiny little dog here last week because I felt bad that he be stuck in the house all day while I'm at work. Also, his big butt can use some exercise. There are two separate fenced off area for dogs. One larger one and one significantly smaller one for tiny dogs. My dog is super territorial, so he had a field day here. He didn't even want to run. All he did was sniff around the whole area and marked his territory all over. Bags are provided for dog parents to pick up their pet's business. Also, there are water fountains specifically for the dogs. Besides the fenced off areas for dogs, there is also a large soccer field, a play area for kids, and a full court basketball court. For so many amenities, there was surprisingly no one there given the gorgeous night on the day I came...but good, keep it that way so I can start practicing my And 1 moves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW48iyrMsLE) without anyone judging me!"
