"Southern cuisine being dished out by my Asian sister from the South in the Arden area! She whips up some good authentic southern cooking. I even had coworkers and friends from the south I recommended this place to and they stated it's legit southern meals. they all become a regular lol. :) I tried most of the menu and everything is so good! I especially love the fish fry.Do come and try for yourself the best of Saroms Kitchen. One place I will stand beside. But make sure to order early as they close in the later afternoon."
"We have come here off and on over the years and had not been here other than once since they moved.Today we ordered our regular favorite the Dragonfairy. I have to say it was the very best crepe we have ever eaten! We had a short wait but well worth the wait! Can't wait to go back."

"This is a great spot to grab some delicious food and drink, and catch a game on the multiple TV screens. The service is the best and very friendly. One of my favorite spots in Pleasanton."
"The 77 and 81 year olds wanted to go eat and we ended up here because the Chinese restaurant doesn't serve sit-down food.It was a happy coincidence since there is Hawaiian food on the menu and the 81 year old came from Hawaii. The chef explained that the food wasn't what Hawaiians would expect. People didn't like the correct recipe, just like Chinese restaurants adapt the recipes for non-Chinese people. They got the Kalua Pork and I got fried rice. It took a while but was fresh. They were still hoping that it tasted like they were in Hawaii. She commented that the fried rice was really good and I agreed.Sincewe were the only customers in the restaurant, it was pleasant and we got to hear the whole backstory.Prices were 2024-reasonable and the service was friendly."
"What a cute little spot nestled in downtown Manteca! We visited on a Sunday afternoon for brunch and were pleasantly surprised with our service. The restaurant has an order and then sit down style which was great because you don't feel rushed when trying to figure out what to order. Once you order, there are workers constantly checking on your filling up your water and asking if you need anything. I am not sure how the tipping works since you pay before, but all of those waiters/waitresses deserved a little tip! We enjoyed our food. The only thing I didn't like too much was my iced coffee. It didn't taste very good, so I would skip the iced latte and try something else. Overall, we loved the vibes and the restaurant and would love to visit again."
"I love this place! Been going here for years and have enjoyed every plate. The burgers are juicy and cooked just right. I had the Frenchie and my brother had the crab Louie but in a sandwich with bacon! Both were sooooo good. Our waitress was pretty amazing as well. We ordered some garlic fries before our entrees and she brought everything out as they were ordered making all our food super fresh as we were eating. She was so sweet and it made our lunch experience just that much better. I love the decor in this place and the setup. Makes me feel like I'm in Berkeley at a little brunch place. Super clean and welcoming!"
"I can't believe that I haven't reviewed Agave Azul yet!We love Mexican food. It's one of those cuisines where just about anyone can find something they enjoy. We had heard a lot of wonderful things about Agave Azul from friends and coworkers. What do you do when you hear about a great restaurant? You try it out naturally! The restaurant is located in a strip mall, but don't let that deter you! There is always a friendly host to greet you and take you to your table. When the weather is nice, there is plenty of outdoor seating too. The inside ofThe restaurant is not too big, but there is a nice bar area that is separate from the main dining room. The chips and salsa are so good! You are given not one but 3 salsas to try. There is one that is a little on the spicier side so be careful if you are not a fan of heat. They also have the most amazing Brussels sprouts which are seriously some of the best I've ever had. I love the fajitas and my husband loves the carnitas! Both are fabulous. Agave Azul is one of those restaurants that once you've tried it, you can't believe it took you so long to try it and you don't want to go anywhere else anymore. At least that is how we feel about it. Thankfully it's not that far from home so we can eat some yummy Mexican food whenever we get a craving!"
"Im a first time customer and came in shortly after opening on a Thursday. The place gives a comfortable home type feel. I ordered the chicken caprese sandwich with a side of mash potatoes. The sandwich was good quality although it was lacking a flavor or some sort, I couldn't put my finger on it. (Maybe more aioli? Seasoning on the chicken? A good addition would be bacon, I don't know if they have it though!) The mash and gravy were great. I also ordered a hot caramel macchiato which was great! I originally went in for the old school red steer french dip which I haven't had in years but changed my mind last minute! The cashier was friendly and the woman that brought my food out had a pleasant smile and looked happy to be at work. I'll definitely try this place again!"
"My first time here. The inside was really cute. We had the coffee and they had half and half, vanilla, and hazelnut creamer. My kids ordered the hot chocolate. We all enjoyed our food. One pancake may of been a little overcooked but still yummy. Their service and staff were very attentive and friendly. They also had some Filipino options that I want them try next time. Overall I had a great experience and will be coming back."
"HIGHLY RECOMMEND RESERVING THROUGH YELP AHEAD OF TIME. We had made our reservation about 45 min ahead of time and only had about a 5 min wait when we arrived. It's located in the beautiful Lincoln Center so if you do have to wait there's plenty to do nearby. Once seated we were quickly attended to. Not pictures is the delicious Pork Shoulder Torta, we ate it before any picture could be taken. However, everything was delicious. The French toast was extra sweet and the coffee was strong. Definitely will be returning with the rest of our kids as they have plenty of seating indoor and outdoor to accommodate all family sizes."
"Slays! Absolutely loved the food. Still dream about it, tbh. My partner had the lox bagel; the salmon was very delicious and full of flavor. I had the Dream Sandwich (on a bagel with bacon). Service was excellent and fast. The restaurant was clean and filled with natural light. Definitely recommend!"
"Day 3 Stop 1In anticipation of our wine tasting we went early as we did not want to have to wait in line... They do get busy as the morning hours tick on. Fortunately for us, there was no line and we were seated right away. For seating, you can seat inside the cafe or get a patio table, both of which are comfortable and pleasant. We were presented with the menus and offered coffee or other beverages upon seating. Within a decent amount of time our server returned to take our order (I was impressed that we were not rushed...) and refill our beverages. Meals were delivered, food was good, timing was perfect for our schedule. I would like to make a suggestion that if you are not hungry, order side orders instead as the portions are large.I'd go there again even if I wasn't going to attend any wine tasting....Hana Hou"

I've had Shrimp n Grits, "Pork Chops" n Eggs, Gumbo, Catfish n Eggs. The gumbo is delicious! Good as mine! The Catfish was good. We'll be back, but there are things they can do to make things better. I've only seen the omelets. They scorch the Eggs, making them brown and leathery, not tender and fluffy. Who likes scorched Eggs? Find a cool spot on the griddle or use a pan. So easy to fix. They use cheap cheddar in the "cheesy grits" giving it a sour profile. If they can make gumbo that tasty they could easily improve the grits! They serve pork steak and call it Pork Chops. Pork steak is a very fatty and inexpensive cut from pork shoulder. Chops are a completely different cuts. This is dishonest. When they get busy they can get a little rude not noticing or caring. Bad for business.

I finally made it back! BEST decision. Was a struggle to choose something new but I committed and the Kalua pork hashbrowns (menu appears to be updated!! But not here on yelp?)This was nothing short of DREAMY!!!!!Presentation, flavor, temp, texture were all on point even though I had then serve me late due to a meeting I had to hop onAmanda gave on point and efficient service with a warm smile. I think Andrew was in the kitchen once again and seated me with kindness. Once again I was so hungry and it was so Fab I didn't think to take a pic until I missed it all up into a perfect bite Bottomless mimosas on point again and apparently they do bottomless beer for $20 ?!! DangI'll be back to check out other things... if I can stop craving the spam Benedict and Malia pork hashbrowns that is. Seemed clean enough inside to me and that the other poor reviews also didn't order the special menu items... so try the good stuff! It's fantastic

My partner and I visited Besitos on our way to golf and were not disappointed! We were sat quickly and provided menus. The water and lemonade are self serve and you order and pay at the counter. Servers will seat you and deliver your food/boxes. It was all very efficient! We ordered the bacon n waffle and chicken n biscuit special with a side of eggs. Everything was tasty and a great value with huge portions. Even the side of eggs came with a little bit of sautéed veggies. Seating is outside only but they have plenty of umbrellas and fans around. It's a really cute patio with lots of greenery. There were lots of flies but the fans helped to keep them away from the tables.

"How did I not hear about this place until now? I had a Rueben sammich w/ potato salad. Fantastic! They served much bigger portions than I should have consumed, but it was so flippin' good, I gobbled it all down. (You won't leave hungry.) I'm coming back soon to try the Cubano and their chips & salsa (recommended by the customers at the next table)."
"Service was fantastic. This was our first time and they gave us a sample of the fresh juices. The salad dressing was perfect and light. All the food was amazing. I'm already setting up a lunch date with my friend so I can try something else!"
"Food and the desert was great! The service was amazing, I wish I could remember the name of the young waitress that served me. She sat me down even though they were about to close, and she was really nice. The ambiance was great! I felt I was taken into Disney book, I wish my kids were with me but unfortunately I was I northern cal for work, but I'm hoping they will open a location in Los Angeles. If you have a chance to visit this place, I highly recommend to try it! And by the way, I bought the boysenberry jam and it was delicious."
"Ordered a Tiramisu cake for Christmas this year and it did not disappoint! Not only was it absolutely beautiful but it tasted DELISH! May have been one of the best tiramisu I've had. On top of that the staff was so friendly and helpful... especially with it being Christmas Eve and all the orders they had. They were so pleasant. Worth noting: You do need to give them 36 hour notice for ordering this. Perfection takes time ;) I even picked up a few extra Christmas cupcakes for my niece and nephew! Their selection of baked items is a great variety!"
"10/29/2023Visiting our old stomping grounds..I know I've had reviews in the past..So good to see they are doing really well..Lots of regulars and buzzing with friendly staff..Orders: breakfast burrito- big and full of ingredients..Two egg with bacon - perfect and hit the spot for me..Son got the scrambled eggs and sausage and he devoured it!So glad we came!Coffee was always filled to the brim! Can't wait for lunch.."
"Great service from Nikki. She went above and beyond even taking a whole bunch of photos for our party. Food was good too. Do recommend this place."
"My son had a craving for garlic naan and had been here before, a while ago, so we ordered to go since their dinning room is closed. It is located in a strip mall by several other restaurants, but is strictly a take out location at this point. We ordered the spinach paneer, butter chicken, chicken curry, chicken tikka masala and a chicken and rice dish that the name escapes me at the moment. Anyway between the two of us our bill was over $80. The portions were extremely small, maybe 8oz. with very little chicken. They were mostly sauce. The chicken curry had five small pieces and that was it. The food was delicious but we are all waking up with extremely bad stomach aches. We have never had this experience from other Indian restaurants and if it was just me, I wouldn't be writing this but my whole family has an issue except my one son that didn't eat any of it."
"Best bagel breakfast sandwich I have had that was not made at home. Plan to wait about 10 min or so for one, or call ahead to order...but soooo worth it! There is so many coffee choices, we had the Heavenly Jumpstart and it was delicious. Will definitely come back whenever I am in Turlock!"
"We have been coming here for Years ! My Hunny Loves the Chilie Relleno plate. I Love the Cheese Enchilada plate . But, the past few years I've been LOViNG the Med Bean Burrito w/ Extra Cheese and Onions ( on special for 1.89 on Tues and Thurs ) The Best ! Love their Beans ! Today I stopped by the drive thru . Really great Folks who run it and work there .My Son ordered the Taco Truck Tacos - Steak . So Great !"
"Best Mexican food in Modesto. And at a great price too! Whenever I'm back in town I make it a priority to go here."
"Very good food that has the whole farm to table authenticity. The berry crepe dessert is a MUST try! It was delicious!"
"What a great find! We love visiting the area and have tried many restaurants, but this is officially our new favorite for breakfast!! We came with a larger group and were seated in a very spacious back room that was perfect for our family. The menu is extensive and we appreciated the owner explaining different menu items. We also really appreciate how much is made in house, fresh, especially the corn beef hash which is delicious! The funnel cake waffles definitely live up to the hype, as do the pancakes, chicken fried steak and other items: everything was delicious and on point. Highly recommend if you're in the area looking for fresh comfort food. We will be back!"
"This is a great find on a rainy day My first time in EOS Earls Pastrami hands down good Warm wrapped and not too much dressing No fluff I ordered it as it comes Though I wasn't asked any choices It was good Very clean organized but no customer service , no eye contact with any of the working crew. Too bad they have a great sandwich And I'll be back"
"Love joe on the go, food is excellent service and food is exceptional, I'm never disappointed except I usually eat too much, highly recommend it."
"Food was a little pricey. They did get my order wrong at first but made the experience a little sad on my end. They do have a fire salsa bar but the experience was alrite. I will go back and try it again and see if the experience is better"
"Outstanding quality ingredients.I ordered chicken tortilla soup!Very tasty and fresh"
"The service was marginal at best OVERALL. Ambiance had only country music playing what a shocker in oakdale.... My burrito was less than desirable and my girls she though was ok... the service was good when we came initially in for chips and salsa and to refill our water cup.... the chips came out hot... the salsa had a good flavor big peaces of cilantro mostly stems.... (Yuk) so i base a Mexican restaurant by there chips and salsa partially .... So nothing to repot to bad on that part... my girl got identically to what i got pollo and me carne asada wet burrito only difference is i like mine on the side so i asked it for on the side he attempted (server) to have me get the burrito that has no wet sauce.... I expressed i want the same burrito just with the sauce on the side... i no that places will attempted to drown a burrito in sauce for a lack of spice or flavor to there meat. At that point after i took the first bite i realized ordering the burrito was a bad idea... things only got worse from here. i asked for a check i can sense he could tell i wasn't happy he asked if we want any dessert of drinks(up selling) .... Nice try but not today so the bill comes out i forgot to mention i ordered a side of beans to dip the chips in i read they were 3$ on the menu ... but he asked if we wanted cheese and sauce we said sure, so noticing the Oaxaca cheese was stale and not good. So he bring out the receipt for us to pay and it had 4 items Item $15.00 (burrito)Item $15.00 (burrito)Which i was on board with but also two other charges Item $2.00 (????)Item $8.00 (bean dip are you @&#% kidding me)I mind you i mentioned we only ordered 3 items i said id like a itemized bill so i can actually see what im paying for ... i asked what are those two charges for the 2$ for hes states the "red" sauce i said i wanted a wet burrito just the sauce on the side i was like no you guys think im a sucker. I asked is the 8$ what i think it was for the beab dip and he said yes.lol so for a some beans its 3$ but for a lil bit of queso and almost no sauce a extra 5$ lol wow. I new at that point i realized most of there customers were drinking alcohol beverages and me and my girl werent having any drinks other than water. I over heard the guy serving us saying it was his last day i figure he just had ti up sell and charge US for some items that should of came with ...... long story shot my girl used the rest room she cane out quick and i asked her ur never that quick she said i didnt use it so i automatically new she was referring to it being nasty. So i think a two stars is generous plus i no most people don't pay attention to 1star reviews. After taxes & being overcharged by 10 dollars i will never go back i will stick to Suzy Belens ever time now! So you lost a customer for over charging a customer.... The 10 dollars you got from me could of been multiplied by 4 times a month coming back to visit thats how much we eat out 4 times a month... so your loss not mine! He never brought me a itemized bill back and never took no money off the bill and brought me the bill you will see below smh ! Its rare that i think a business should go out of business i see this establishment has been open since 1998 idk how, seriously all the clients must just go for the booze and be shit faced tipsy!"
"This place is literally the best "hole in the wall" restaurant in the Central Valley! Everything that is on the menu is Fantabulous! And I mean everything! The fajitas have so much flavor, that they have ruined me for any other place. My two favorites are the chicken fajitas, fajitas burrito and the veggie burrito. But the BEST item that they make is their Nueva salsa and cabbage salsa. I mix the two together and I can eat a giant bowl all to myself! Their Jamaica drink is always on point. All of the employees that work there are amazing and have become part of our family. When we call in an order or walk in, we are greeted like "Norm" as they say our names and ask..."usual order number one or two". It gets us smiling each and every time. We were informed about this place around 20 something years ago and we still can't get enough of it! Heck, we literally went there two times this week lol. So if you are wanting authentic and flavorful food, Taqueria San Jose is the only place to go."
"Food and service was great! Totally love the aesthetic too! Gabrielle was our server and she was so friendly and attentive to everyone. If you're in town or stopping by from a road trip it's definitely worth checking out."
"Awesome food and drinks! Second time here and I'll definitely be back! Great service as well!"
"Great food, fast service, family-friendly atmosphere! Came here after a long overnight shift in the hospital with two other colleagues for a quick bite. Practically left in a food coma!"
"Exactly what I expected from a "country diner" type of restaurant. Lots of picnic table outdoor seating on patio. I can say our service for party of 6 was 5 star! Coffees & waters refilled. Food was typical fare. Large portions, nothing special but senior meal for over 55 was couple bucks cheaper & included a drink so that was a good value. Overall the other meals weren't exactly cheap $13.99 for eggs benedict."
"First thing: hands down, Cindy's makes the greatest salsa EVER! This unassuming spot is usually pretty busy, especially on a Saturday. It literally feels like home in there. It's clean and serves up the best comfort food. A restaurant serving American & Mexican dishes threw me off at first but it makes sense, especially for the area. It's a perfect combination of a typical American diner food and traditional Mexican dishes. Where else can you get good huevos rancheros and chicken fried steak and eggs?! Oh and did I mention free chips and salsa?!The parking lot here is super funky. It's right off golden state in a busy intersection so be careful! Overall, a must try for breakfast or lunch. Pro tip: you can order their delicious chips & salsa by the pound!!! It's always a hit at parties!"
