"First time here and it's pretty nice. The setup is great. They have a restaurant , but unfortunately it closed just before we got there. Great selection of beer on tap, and great selection of cider on the menu.If you want to try out your axe throwing skills they also have that, I'd maybe try that out before you start drinking but up to you on that one. Bartender was friendly, asked for their best cider and got 2 choices. The one I wanted to try was out behind bar so one of the bartenders was nice enough to go get more from the fridge area. They had a band playing some good music. Place has a great vibe."

"Why do I love it here. The open kitchen. When other restaurants say this, they don't REALLY mean it. Here, it is in fact a place where you're watching and engaging with the chef. Listening to the chef idéate in real time was fun. The menu is curated in such a thoughtful way. The seasonal consideration keeps you on your toes from season to season. We had the clam steamers. Gambas (shrimp), beef Wellington, the baby artichokes and the broquetas (sardines) en vinagre. The staff makes excellent pairing recommendations throughout your meal and is attentive as much as possible.Reservations aren't required but if you want to sit at the bar (highly recommended), I'd make one and call and request the bar."

"I went here for Trivia night and my friends and I had such an incredible time! Between the 10 of us, we sampled so many different beers and it did not disappoint! It's so amazing that something like this exists in downtown Brentwood. Food, service, and ambiance were all too notch. I will admit, I was a little worried about the food when I saw pictures online. But it was so delicious, I felt inclined to take a photo and make a Yelp review. If the pictures of the food aren't great, I promise, it tastes way better than it looks. We will definitely be coming back here again! :)"

"This restaurant has a great location going for it and fortunately we managed to get a parking spot and a table for the 8 of us . Seating is mostly high top and they were able to accommodate our big group without having to move things around . Next great thing is the amazing bear selection on tap - there was something for all the diverse taste preferences. I immediately jumped to get Russian river as I love their beers. The food has to be ordered at the counter and since I was ordering for all 8 of us , it took a little back and forth on my end but the staff was very accommodating and let me take my time as not all our friends were present while ordering .It didn't take too long for the food to arrive and almost all of us got our entree at the same time . My pesto chicken sandwich was dry as a bone , the fried parmesan on top was unnecessary and just there for aesthetics. I heard the same sentiment from everyone who got a chicken dish. Others seemed pretty satisfied with their food. Overall , I think they are a solid place for a meal if you are in the area."

"We popped in before some wine tasting. My hubby and I split the soup and grilled cheese. The owner was great. Happy to split it for us and frankly when the soup came out I didn't look split. "My excitement for the new spot in town was undeniable. It was the perfect opportunity to visit and celebrate, as we were out for a birthday dinner. We ordered drinks--El Mariachi and the Katana--and paired them with spicy fish tenders and skewer sensation. The cocktails were fantastic, perfectly balanced with flavors that masked the alcohol just right. After one drink, I was already feeling a pleasant buzz.Being a fan of Indian fusion, I was thrilled with the menu, even though it's limited. The spicy fish tenders didn't quite have enough heat for my liking, but I'll be sure to ask for extra spice next time. We went with both the paneer and chicken skewers, which were fresh out of the tandoor and absolutely hit the spot.The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, checking on us several times throughout the evening. The place had a decent crowd for a Thursday night, and we had a wonderful conversation with the owner, learning more about the place. I'm definitely coming back, especially to try their lunch menu. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!"

"Quite the find!! We were very excited to try out The Cast Iron tonight. First impression - whoa, what a cool place!We quickly learned that we needed to get in line to place our order at the counter then take a seat indoors/outdoors. The staff at the front counter were very friendly and able to answer our questions without hesitation. Additionally, I observed how well the staff worked together which says a lot about morale of the employees (and management). We placed our order and decided to take our cocktails and table-top order placard outside to sit since there was live music outside. No more than 10 minutes later our food was brought out. My one "itch" about our experience is that the food came separately. So while I'm sure my food was hot, I waited until my partners food was served before diving in. By the time his food arrived the outside air had cooled my food. Nonetheless, the food was still very good. I had the regular bacon cheeseburger with fries. The burger was cooked to perfection, melted cheese, touch of dressing and I totally appreciated the arugula on the burger. The seasoned fries were excellent as were the tater tots! There were large amount of tater tots and fries, plenty to share between the two of us, and even then we had leftovers which we gave to someone on the street. The sign reads "best burgers." We've only arrived to town a week ago, however, based on my experience this far, I would agree - best burger in town (so far)! We'll definitely be back!"

Wasn't a fan of how it works and it also happened to be trivia night + a foot ball game going on so it was a packed house and incredibly loud with the guys next to us screaming in our direction. Very annoying. We would've sat outside to be away from the noise but it was cold and they didn't have heaters. Perhaps could invest in some heaters. Food: burgers were good if you like that hint of that char grilled taste although hubby and I agreed John's Char burger still wins. Truffle fries were a bit cold. Nothing special. The zucchini fries I would come back for. They were freshly fried and the chipotle dipping sauce was tasty. Not spicy at all, I'd give it to a child. Service: hubby went up to order our food, there's no table service here. If you like beer, the options were plentiful. I don't drink beer. I maybe would've gotten a cocktail but the thought of getting up and making my way through the crowd of folks already seated at the bar plus the trivia people, and then standing in line to order a cocktail reminded me of being in a club. No thanks."

From the cozy ambiance to the fantastic and attention service, this is one of my favorite restaurants to go to in Ripon. They change their menu weekly so my food review may not apply, but their quality is top notch. Also make sure to check their website for their opening hours as Yelp is currently not up to date.I came for dinner and brunch and personally my favorite item from the dinner was actually the French Dip ($19) and for Breakfast/Brunch the The Vine House Benedict ($17) was a 10/10 as well.The French Dip doesn't come with sides, but it's filling as is and they use really high quality cuts of meat. The melted provolone and the au jus were perfect. For their breakfast I also love their Benedict because they spread spinach artichoke dip on the english muffine and it really makes it better than your standard Benedict.I would for sure come back to Vine House every time whenever I can because the great quality and service is unmatched."

The inside was really nice, they have a bookshelf and tons of seating. Also, I don't know who the artist is but I really enjoyed the hilarious hand-drawn tip sign. The food is delicious, definitely get the fried pickles with the adobo chipotle sauce as well as the cheese curds. The food takes awhile to come out but that's ok if you're surrounded by good company and a good beer. The menu online does have a few more options but the servers are great at letting you know what you can customize with your burgers/sandwiches. You can tell that they put a lot of effort into their food and their service. The servers are all kind and will take care of you greatly. The taproom is very big and great for groups or small parties. It's a very pretty space and they have TVs and trivia night on certain days."
