"Nice spot to play basketball! Tucked away in a spot I would have never assumed would be a court, but that makes it even better.Clean facility, nice rims and a good court. The competition that comes through there can be high, but it's worth every minute. If you're looking to get your cardio game up and a place to get some good runs in, check this place out!I'll be back in 2 weeks, so maybe I'll see ya there!Hope this helps!"
"Ive been telling myself to be better about reviewing places I genuinely enjoy, so here it is. This place is freaking awesome, a massive facility with 3 courts, weightlifting section, and even shooting machines that dish the ball at you. Place is super clean and well maintained. I talked to the owner for a bit and he is knowledgable and seems very committed to the customer experience. Really nice spot, highly recommend."
"Great park. Has 2 structures neither for very small children, but ok for walkers. My daughter loves this playground. She has been going there since she was 1 1/2 or so. There is a walk way around the playground and seems like fun. There is also a field next to the playground to fly a kite or just run around. It is also a good picnic place, because even though the playground is not shaded, but there is a lot of shade around the playground."
"The newest Rancho Cordova water park, aka Splash Pad park, geared specially toward toddlers. Press the water dispenser start button thing and you'll enjoy about 15 minutes or so of uninterrupted water excitement. You can press the button over and over. There's also a dry area filled with playground equipment geared for toddlers, that's why this park stands out above others in RC that also have a ton of older kids running around. There's a shaded area for picnics and an indoor bathroom. I don't like the sand pit area, your kid will be a muddy mess when they mix the water and san activities. But the kids seem to love it. Bring tons of sunblock because the splash pad isn't covered. I also recommend water friendly shoes because the concrete gets hotter than the dickens. There's lots of other "splash pads," "spray and play," and "water parks." in Sacramento, but I think this one is the best for toddlers."
"This is a great organization for kids. They are well organized and professional. The refs are amazing! They are kind and patient and take the time to explain to the kids about a call. They have smiles on their faces and seem to enjoy what they do. I've heard them compliment kids on good sportsmanship and high five them for a job well done. Way to go WCB!"
"Cute and simple park. Usually quiet and vacant. Has a picnic table and a couple of benches near playground. There is a basketball quart too. This play ground is near a train, so I wouldn't recommend for those who are sensitive to loud noises. No bathrooms."
"Elizabeth Pinkerton Park is roughly 4.5 Acres . It is located in the Cosumnes Community Service District In the City Of Elk Grove California.Named after Elizabeth Pinkerton who is nationally recognized for her innovative and creative thinking.Built in 2008 this park offers a large playground with swings for the kids, a half basketball court, a covered structure gazebo with BBQ, open play area, and is also connected to walking trails on either side of the park .The only issues that I found were : location of the park was next to a busy intersection ! And parking was limited to street parking only. But over-all this is a lovely community park that offers it neighbors a safe and clean place for the kids to play, and for active adults with their miles of hiking trial. I will definitely be back in warmer weather to take advantage of their walking trials. A park that offers amenities for children and adults deserves a solid "3 Stars !""
"This is a small park but brings a lot to do. There is a grassy area to play around in. There is also a basketball court as well. You can bring the kids to the playground which has a slide and other things as well. It is also attached to the trail for you to hike bike welcome back"
"Atherton Park in Quail Lakes in Stockton, California. Yelp Challenge 85/100.This is a great park, I love it a lot. What's cool about this park it has a handball court, basketball court, tennis court and a baseball diamond. There's a large strip of grass for football practices and soccer practices. Also the large strip is perfect for flying a kiteAtherton Park has enough shade to relax during the summer time and BBQ. The best part is they have a pretty cool playground here. Mainly for the children, but us adults can have fun too. So when us adults get a little tired of playing in the sand. This park has you covered with some benches. The kids and I spent two summers here, because my son had his Pop Warner football practices here. I'm very familiar with this park. The kids and I love going to parks. Riding our bikes, having a picnic or just talking. It's who we are and how I raised them. Doing what this Daddy does best. Spending time with my children. My kids are my world and everything else in life is a bonus. Sincerely VD. Daddy up 24/7"
"Really nice park! Quiet, clean and safe! Definitely a nice place to enjoy lunch in the car! Lots of greenery! Highly recommended!"

My son is 8 and has worked out with Tabytha at Legends Athletics for around 6 months. In the time he has trained with her his skill, knowledge and love of basketball has grown exponentially. She takes the time to develop specific goals and work outs for each kid. She genuinely takes interest in each athlete and it shows. The gym is always clean and a great environment to learn. Of all the gyms in the greater Sacramento area this is by far our favorite.

Such a unique concept! It's so hard to find basketball-based gyms around this area. Was able to stop by this gym to check it out and I am blown away by how clean and nicely setup this place is. There is a workout area for parents while their kids play basketball or for anyone to get a quick workout in. There are multiple courts with officiated games making it fair and fun for everyone. Staff is very friendly and welcoming too. Really excited to be coming in here regularly!

Nice park. It's fairly easy to keep all your children in view here. The larger play structure is partially shaded at times. The smaller play structure may be somewhat difficult for children to climb as it doesn't have the standard stairs to climb. My main complaint is the ornamental plum trees, which drop lots of fruit on the sidewalks and cause a huge, gooey mess. The toddlers try to eat the stuff and it gets stuck on stroller wheels. There is a hill and a large field near the playground that the kids love to run down. Just beware of the mud.

One of the most fun parks in the area!I love the creative playthings: climbing , spinning, music-making, and a great sand pit. There are also restrooms and covered sitting areas, so it's great place for parties, BBQs, or just an afternoon to let the littles run their entry out! It's a great spot for play dates , especially because there is a great variety of activities for different age groups so even siblings can have fun. There are great swings and activities for groups or solo. It's definitely worth a drive, even if you don't live in the neighborhood!

My 12 year old son has been playing basketball since he was 6 and has played in many different leagues. From Sacramento, Elk Grove, Galt, and AAU. He's played 2 seasons on West Coast and this has been our favorite league out of all the others. The organizers keep this league in order and keep the games fun. Everything from coaching, practices, games, playoffs, refs, and even off season practices/clinics has been amazing. All aspects of this league that I've seen has been 100% professional and organized. I've never experienced any uncomfortable games, "crazy parents" and I've always been impressed with this program. If your kid is interested in playing, regardless of skill level, definitely start here. You won't regret it.

"I rate this place a 5 stars. We needed a place to practice weekly for an hour indoors during winter. Came across this place by recommendation. Prices for the entire gym are $40 an hour or buy a 10+ hours package gets down to $30 hour. We are very thankful we had a successful season, thanks to our being able to practice here."
"They have a play structure for older and younger kids. And they have a shaded area for BBQ or for sitting down. I did my daughter's 1st birthday party here. You don't have to pay to reserve this spot. It's first come first serve basis. They do have a tennis, basketball court, baseball and tennis court. Also, they have a spray ground which the kids love. Overall this park is clean and nice. They don't have pokemons here much. If you are a pokemon hunter, they do have a gym located here. :) And I would say no electrical outlets. Lovely park with trails for exercising too. Lots of people in the afternoon walking, jogging or kids playing in this park."
"Nice indoor basketball gym, with bleachers to watch games & practices. Nice parking lot with many spots.Facility also has bathrooms inside the building and a vending machine for drinks and snacks. It's next to a really cute park with a playground."
"It's not my thing to trash a park unless there are some glaring problems. Colonial Park isn't one of the nicest in Sacramento and could use a facelift, but the fact that it provides a pleasant place for neighborhood families to play and gather makes it a great option for multiple reasons. I came here for the first time to celebrate my friend's child's 2nd birthday. She had reserved gated pool area through the city and we had it all to ourselves. The pool was quite nice, with a big sort of water tower/fountain that kept the children thoroughly entertained. We ran out of time, however, and had to move the party outside of the pool itself. The park was a little rundown in this area. I'm sad to say that if I don't feel my kid can run around barefoot on the grass safely, it's not an optimal park in my book. I think what the place needs is a little TLC, particularly in the grass and bathrooms area. Other than that it would be a place I would happily visit if I lived in the neighborhood!"
"Great park tucked away in lovely Livermore. It was made to host soccer tournaments however it has a awesome basketball court. It's kind of hidden behind the field of little girls and boys running fill in the air with laughter and fun. Once you find the basketball court you will be amazed, the city really provided a state of the art court it's Clay blue and the rims and backboards are on point."
"Nice and quiet neighborhood park with Full size basketball court! No bathrooms or bbq pits but nice tree shaded tables and small playground with some grass"
"Olde Florintown Park is located in the small town of Florin California. Back in the early 1940's , Florin had the largest Nikkei agricultural settlement in California and was known as the "Strawberry Capital of the world."The park is quite large and offers so many choices of activities to local residence. For starters they have 2 lighted baseball/softball diamonds, 2 lighted soccer fields, a lighted full court basketball court, covered picnic area with BBQ's, open space area for multi-purpose use, play area for younger children as well as on for older children. They even have a lighted parking lot.The only thing I didn't like about the park was the location. The park is not in an residential area but more of an industrial area, with business all around. But , if you happen to be driving by the town of Florin, don't forget to check out Olde Florintown Park !"
"Great little park, with play-structure and swings. They also have basketball court, BBQ grills, picnic tables and benches. They also have a drinking fountain. Great for young kids. You can see old train-tracks at the back of the park down the hill.Parking is on the curb side."
"Love this park so much. It's the only park I feel safe at walking at any time of the day. There's so many events that go on here!- the same dudes playing basketball LITERALLY on the daily.- soccer practices- football practices- baseball/softball practices- parties under the big gazebo thing- the AWESOME dog park!- running on the trail along the deltaThings to be aware of!- if you're gonna have a party here, clean up after yourself. You're adults.- running on the trail, there are garter snakes here (comes in black and yellow, and also tan/brown)! They are NOT NOT NOT poisonous. Just go around them!- if you bring kids into the dog park, stay near them as not ALL dogs are children friendlyWhile I love this park tons (because I don't feel safe at the park near my house due to lunatics), I wish people had common sense! Clean up after yourselves. This park was meant for everyone to feel safe to run around freely. We can't do that trampling over your three day old trash in the grass. Keep Stockton clean and friendly. Otherwise, don't expect Stockton to get any better if you can't make it better."
"Encore Basketball Training is definitely the first step you want to take towards developing the necessary basketball fundamentals for your child! If you truly want to invest in your child's basketball career whether it's towards a school team, as an extracurricular activity, or eventually wanting them to go further such as the collegiate level, then this is where they need to be. My son has been into basketball for the last two years and we only did the little basketball training with CSD (I don't recommend). The fundamentals taught here are things you can't teach unless you have long term basketball experience, which Roburt Sallie has. Sure, watching basketball on tv or going to basketball games are ways to pick up moves but actually performing those are another story. Skills such as learning to dribble the ball while looking up seemed to be something many of my son's teammates struggled with when he was in CYBL. But my boy already learned that thanks to Roburt! There are two sessions: Friday's & Sunday's Each session is split into two groups:First group - grades 1-6 Second group - grades 7-12 Each group runs for two hours, typically the first hour is full of multiple drills then the last hour is scrimmaging. $30 per session or $50 for Friday & Sunday combined. I recommend doing both sessions to maintain that consistency for your child. This is where you'll see the most improvement!"
"Stribley Community Center....it's been here for years....open to the public. Go shoot some hoops for like a buck...there's a weight room, an aerobics room, 2 gyms, one for basketball and another for tumbling. An art room. You can hold an event there or just hang out and do some cool kid or senior activities....it's one of the things Stockton does well....community centers. This one is located just north of the San Joaquin County Health Center and boasts a community garden. Parents, see Tina for some great programs when your kids are on a break from school; it's a safe place, a fun place an eastside Stockton staple!"
"New York has Central Park... San Francisco has Golden Gate Park... Well Sacramento being the capital city of California is fortunate to have "William Land Park" (a.k.a. Land Park). Owned and operated exclusively by the City of Sacramento, this 200+ acre park has served locals and tourists dating back to the late 1800's. It is situated in between I-5 and State Route 160 while major streets such as Land Park Dr., Sutterville Rd., Freeport Blvd., and 13th Ave. surround it.What makes this park a win-win is that in the several dozen times I have been here, it has never been crowded. You have more than enough ample space to relax by the man made lakes (where you can see ducks, swans, geese), go for a stroll or bike ride, enjoy a picnic (which include benches and BBQ pits), play frisbee, and enjoy the luscious landscaping that includes thousands of fresh flowers, shrubs, and willow trees. There is also a nice children's playground that includes monkey bars, swings, and slides. Parking is surprisingly easy to find on any given day and with the amount of trees here, this can provide a lot of shade on the hotter summer days.In addition to the leisure activities here, this park also includes a very generous golf course as well as three (3) soccer/rugby fields nearby. The park also offers basketball courts, a jogging path, six (6) softball fields, a wading pool, and a rock garden. One really big plus about this park is that it is within walking distance to the Sacramento Zoo, Fairytale Town, and Funderland (which offer carnival-type rides for young children). And best of all, public restrooms are located throughout the park as well as plenty of areas to dispose of your trash. For anyone that wishes to test their photography skills, this is definitely the park to do so. The lake also provides a beautiful scenic view that is great for engagement photos and other special occasions. I also feel that Sacramento has done a fair share of upkeep on this park to make it look welcoming for people that wish to visit on a regular basis. With that said and done, I am giving "William Land Park" a perfect five star rating."
"Excellent, thoughtful and prepared.Clear communication. Does not waste time. Son has improved."
"My son (11) and daughter (9) love this place! They started at Rockball a few years ago and it's by far their most favorite extra curricular activity. They attend group training once a week, but if it were up to them they'd love to be there every day if they could. As a homeschooling family, I love that group training gets them rubbing shoulders with other kids and allows them to get some "formal" teaching from someone other than mom and dad. Bonus: our charter school allow us to pay for training using school vouchers. All the couches are really great - they know how to work with kids, how to push them, yet encourage them, and they're just all really easy-going and fun to be around. I love that my kids leave class sweaty, with flushed cheeks, and sore muscles... Proves that they're engaged the whole time and it's not just an hour of babysitting I'm dropping them off for. I love that."
"Mike Sordello truly has the heart of a teacher. His camp combines great and on-point teaching of basketball fundamentals and techniques in a fun-filled environment. My son loves going to his Saturday drop-in camps and has really benefitted from the lessons that he gets in this camp."
"A hidden gem in West Sacramento! The only other dog park that I knew of in West Sacramento is Sam Combs Park off Jefferson and Stone Blvd, but am glad to find another one in the West SIDE! Brought my whiny little dog here last week because I felt bad that he be stuck in the house all day while I'm at work. Also, his big butt can use some exercise. There are two separate fenced off area for dogs. One larger one and one significantly smaller one for tiny dogs. My dog is super territorial, so he had a field day here. He didn't even want to run. All he did was sniff around the whole area and marked his territory all over. Bags are provided for dog parents to pick up their pet's business. Also, there are water fountains specifically for the dogs. Besides the fenced off areas for dogs, there is also a large soccer field, a play area for kids, and a full court basketball court. For so many amenities, there was surprisingly no one there given the gorgeous night on the day I came...but good, keep it that way so I can start practicing my And 1 moves (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LW48iyrMsLE) without anyone judging me!"
