One of our favorite EG parks. Great spot to watch freight trains go by across Franklin!

Amazing park. This is a lovely neighborhood park. Parking is limited. There is only street parking. Neighborhood parks usually do not have parking lots and/or bathrooms and are smaller. Community parks usually have bathrooms and a lot of parking. This neighborhood park is bigger than most neighborhood parks in Elk Grove. It also has more amenities than most community parks in Elk Grove. There is a covered area with three picnic tables. It has shade the majority of the day. The trees are small since the park is fairly new. I can't wait for the trees to get bigger. The grass is green and fun to run in. They have swings, an obstacle course, a see saw, lots of slides, stairs, fun ladders and more. It is a great place to bring the kids. I recommend this park.

Not bad, needs more slides could use more shade. To close to a busy street. Highlights the pirate ships and compass book you can climb up on. Kids can play freely and climb all over with few difficulty areas for the over 5 crowd, few worrisome areas for the over 2 bunch.

My kids ages 3, 5 & 10 all like this park. My main concern was for the safety for our youngest. He has has no issues other than not having enough of those "horses" that he loves so much. The play structures are made small enough (steps, slats, toddler swing, slides) to fit his small height. Even when he was 1 & 2 he was safe & I would recommend for these ages for sure. My only issue was the lack of a bathroom. Other than the bushes that run the single side of the park, there's nowhere else to pee or poo. Luckily we live a 3 minute run away, so we usually go potty first, or we just go home when it's that time.Kids don't seem to have safety issues with the fact this park borders Willard road, a road cars may drive fast. There's a wooden gate on the road side & the actual play structure is far enough that kids probably wouldn't go into the street anyway. I love that the bike/walking trail is near this park. It's a nice place to let the kids run wild after a lengthy bike ride to yogurt/Starbucks on the corner of Bruceville & Whitelock.

Cons: no bathrooms at this location, so if you don't live near this could be a problem if you have little ones. Very little parking, some street parking off of Matina. This location has 5 picnic tables, it's a smaller park for the neighborhood not large to host a birthday party but clean and a safe location. After school lets out the teens flood the park on their bikes and take over the picnic area, the best times are in the mornings and the evenings. Pro: near walking trail and wildlife preserve, two plastic structures and a climbing structure, seesaws and small grassy knoll surrounding the park.

My 3 year old daughter loves this park. I would too if they had restrooms. Luckily for us we live minutes away (by car). But it sucks that when my daughter is having so much fun, that after several minutes, she has to go potty. So we'd have to drive all the way back home. =\They definitely need to look into building a public restroom.

My daughter looooooooves this park and so do I. It's the cleanest one in the area. It's well maintained ( I've never seen trash outside of the garbage and the lawn in plush and green). It doesn't have a bathroom but I'm with that. We live around the corner. Most of the people who come here Live in the area so they respect the park. The park is pretty tucked away and is not visited by teenagers like a lot of the other parks near by. There's nothing wrong with teenagers but I would prefer my daughter play without hearing a bunch of inappropriate talking she repeats everything!

New park in Elk Grove, kids love new parks. There's dozens of parks in Elk Grove, so its worth visiting new ones to keep the kids entertained. All the equipment is brand new and of high quality. Somehow my daughter cut her hand on the large rock book in the park so don't let your kids play on that. Also, they didn't build a parking lot into this park so you have to park in the neighborhood and walk a short distance to get there.

This is a fun park with nice play structures. My son loves the ship and book structures. Like others have mentioned, it doesn't have restrooms so you can't stay here long with little ones since they almost always need to go within an hour or so of arriving. Lol. Very hard to find parking at this location. We always just walk here due to that fact. However, ever since a body was found in the creek next to it, my kids have not wanted to come.
