This rating is for the park structure area which is not close to the parking at all and no sidewalk connected to it. You must park on the street if you want direct access to the park. DONT BRING YOUR KIDS HERE. It's dirty, full of trash, full of dead leaves. No proper sidewalk, everything is cracked. I am new to Pittsburg and yet to find a decent park for my toddlers.

This review is strictly related to the playground which is sequestered away from the main park area and parking area. The park is down a hill near a main street which I find relatively unsafe. Anyway, I took my niece here a couple of weeks ago during the week and a few ghetto teenagers were hogging the playground and cussing loudly. Mine you, my niece is 3 years old and last time I checked those teens should be in school and playgrounds are for children. Not to sound like a bitter old hag, but my poor niece was starting to get frustrated that she couldn't go down the "big slides" because the big kids were hogging the bigger part of the playground.Additionally, the playground was completely filthy. Literally trash everywhere you look. Disgusting! This is where children play and this is how a public park is kept up? Fortunately, an employee appeared out of nowhere to begin picking up garbage but it looked like the park hadn't been cleaned in ages according to all the trash that was around. I only took my niece here because it's close to home but there are many other safer and cleaner parks around the area that I would rather venture to than here.

This community park is located on the corner of Harbor St and Buchanan Rd. and pretty much has it all. It is a pretty big park with different areas of interest. It has 2 play structures to climb on, a smaller one for the lil ones and a bigger ones for the bigger kids and a set of toddler swings. In this area there is also picnic tables with BBQ grills. Plenty of shade trees. Many folks come here to have a birthday party. I've been to many here.Beautiful bocce ball court, restrooms and more covered picnic tables and BBQ grills. This area is reservable. If you drive into the parking area this is where you find the best place to park rather than on the street. Once you park you can stroll over to the pond and feed the many ducks. There is a pathway circling the pond. If your lucky on the day you come out you may see one or two or even more of the resident turtles! Yep, I said turtles! You may catch a glimpse of them sunning themselves on a log. This park is dog friendly but please pick up after your pooch. Nobody likes to step on poop!If you follow the pathway up the hill along the community pool (which is closed for repairs), you'll come across the horseshoe pits. You have to bring your own 'shoes', they have 3 sets of stakes waiting for someone to bring their horse shoes and start a game. A few more tables there as well. The pool has been a staple of the Pittsburg community since the 80's. I remember coming there and paying 50cents to get in. I also swam here all 4 years of high school on the swim team. Sadly, its empty and closed for repairs. Its a happening place when open. Has a snack bar, kiddie pool and plenty of lawn to lay out on. Showers and restrooms as well. This is a great park, plenty of open flat space to play a game of soccer or a small game of baseball. Beautiful trees and plants to look at. The park plays host to many different events throughout the year.

Love this park, it has a lot of areas you can have fun with the family. Barbecue, pick nick table, the water pond is beautiful and the kid can feed the ducks. -----------------Me encanta este parque ríen muchísimas zonas para divertirse. Las mesas para barbeche, la fuente, y los patos para alimentarlos son lo más vistoso del lugar. Además, tiene una zona de juego y piscina.

This is a really nice park. It is well taken care of. The pond is beautifully filled with wildlife everywhere. I especially love that during the summer the pool is open! Great playground and family friendly. Love it and I definitely love coming back. I recommend for families or anybody!

Beautiful park in the fall. It was the first time my family and I went there for a photo session. The area was well kept and the scenery was very nice. It rained a couple hours before so all the park benches and tables were clean.

Took my toddler here to feed the ducks. It's small but clean and maintained nicely. There were people around having lunch at the picnic tables and walking around the lake. I was a little skeptical because it is in Pittsburg, but I never felt unsafe at all. I would definitely recommend this park!

I actually had a lot of fun there, my toddler and baby had lots of fun in pool. They have a great toddler pool that's like 2-3 feet and was a good size ! Awesome diving and lap pool also. We went unprepared but they had $1 water diapers l, that's how we were able to swim there. I used to go as a kid and since I'm older it looks smaller than I remember lol. But I feel like it's still a bit ratchet but there were some really nice people that I ran into which was nice. Hope to go again soon
