The swing either broke, and hopefully it's being replaced; or some jerk stole it

My kids enjoy playing at Bridgeway Park, particularly the water area. They enjoy utilizing the water cannons and playing at the playground. This is the perfect play area during the hot summer days. There is ample parking.

Nice park with great views. Nice little play area and splash pad for the kids to play. Large open fields with plenty of space to play. Great area to walk around and the lake is a nice view.

Didn't even know this place existed! Attended a bridal shower at the multi-purpose center near the park. Nice and spacious, open floor plan to allow for a true "multi-purpose" space. There is a man made lake or body of water outside the room for nice picture opportunities. It was really quiet, sunny weather, and water sits against lines of private homes which I'm sure contributes to the privacy. Would definitely consider this venue if I had events as it's "out the way" of the hustle and bustle of Sacramento, pretty serene, and aesthetic.

Great park. Great splash pad. Make sure to look at the hours of operation. Water didn't turn on til 1pm. Restrooms are great with soap and working sinks. I love this park.

Most beautiful park!! Def worth the drive if you have children or just want a peaceful trip near a lake. The lake is fenced off making it safe for children and the playground is awesomely built! Lots of parking and a huge green field to do whatever!

Have been walking along this area for a few mornings now. It's safe, clean, and given the weather conditions is nice and cool in the mornings before the temperature hits the high 90's

What a great park for my family! I love the water and all of the fields (for baseball), then the lakes. You need to be careful about the lakes or lake because you don't want to touch the water, there are signs out for that.We also have got see wildlife late in the day or early evening, the little ones love that. They really did a great job with the park and its still has that "new park" feel.

A large park with plenty of well maintained open space, and a pretty view of the man made lake. That would get 4 maybe 5 stars. But. I'm a parent, and a park is either an awesome mini-forest prime for exploring or....A playground. The newly reopened playground seems like it was designed by someone that has never had to care for young children before. While it has a wonderfully soft rubber floor, the play structure itself is awkward for under 4 and seems to get a bit boring for my 5 year old. The slides are only accessible by climbing up weird cube stairs, which don't have rails or anything to keep an uncoordinated 2 year old from falling over, but aren't so big to keep that same 2 year old from attempting to reach the summit. The summit does include a very neat electronic piano feature, that I'm sure will be broken by the end of the summer and hopefully replaced by something less high maintenance. There's also a tunnel the kids can traverse from one structure to the next, which is just metal circles around two long bars. If you've seen it, you've probably seen a frustrated parent help their younger child make the too big steps or a slightly older child knock his head on the top of the circles. It's got to be the absolute worst item I've ever seen on a playground. Yes, the spinning merry-go-rounds of older playgrounds were "dangerous", but at least those were immensely fun. The bar tunnels are just mean. There's also a really cool hammock swing. But. Just one. It's large enough for two preschoolers, but any bigger than that it gets a bit cramped. So, instead, you've got the older kids hogging it because the rest of the structure is lame for them and the younger kids getting knocked over if they get too close to the swing to ask for a turn. I do like it, perhaps install a few on the grass area for the parents? Oh, that brings me to another problem. This playground is not well cornered in, as in there are escape possibilities from all sides. So, a parent should probably be watchful even with older kids that are fine to play on their own. BUT there's a grand total of 0 benches *facing* the playground, and a couple of tables nearby (that I imagine would get soaked if the water features were being used). The table closest to the structures has a wonderful view of the rules sign, which happens to be placed DIRECTLY in front of the smaller play structure. You know, where most of the younger kids will likely play. I was so looking forward to the new playground. I anticipated so much more. Whoever designed this should be fired. Or maybe required to help the kids cross that stupid circle bar tunnel. And then pay for a set of normal swings. Parks Departments focus so much on "new" play things like the tic tac toe type boards, but kids just want to swing and slide and run and jump and climb. Stop wasting space and funds on things that will fade and lose their usefulness, that kids don't even like playing with in the first place.

I have lived the Bridgelake community for 4yrs, The Man made lake is beautifully designed and love to walk around after dinner with my husband. Even during really hot Summer days it makes the day feel cooler along with a cooling breeze to enjoy landscape. I am really proud living within the Bridgelake community.
