My boat has been there for coming up on three months for a fuel tank replacement. A month ago he said he would have the new tank in a week. I Paid 1500 for tank. I can't reach him and he has not returned my calls or emails. Six months later still no tank!!UPDATE: 4/1/2018Took 7 months to replace tanks. Had to just show up at shop to catch Mike. He "forgot" I paid a $1500 deposit. Rails were loose that he replaced he had to tighten them after paid. He didn't test anything he installed such as the windless and horn, neither worked. Didn't return manuals or other tools that came with products. Nice guy but horrible work!! Wait platform he installed is beautiful but hired someone to do that.Update: 4/28/18He was to install new horn at same time of fuel tank but when I took it out on the water, it didn't not work! Told him he came by fixed it but did not screw in the gauge panel back in. I could lift the damn thing right up and the screws were left right on top!!!

I had Bridgehead work on a Sea Ray that I picked up. It had a ton of deferred maintenance from the hull inwards. Mike was easy to deal with. He answered my texts promptly and the work was done early. Pricing was equal to any other guy out there but his candor and experience made a huge difference in my decision process. Somebody else on here complained about their credit card but I had no problem at all. I'll come back.

We bought a Regal next door to Bridgehead from Tocci Yachts...had to have some work done with haul out...bottom paint, zincs, fishfinder install with transducer, etc.Mike handled all of our needs excellently and even gave access to our mechanic while the boat was on the ways. Mike is a long time pro having owned a prop shop in Alameda for years too.I would recommend Bridgehead to anyone needing work out of the water.

Mike Dolay is a con man!!I had my boat bottom painted by Bridghead Maine in May 2017 and paid in full with my credit card. On October 30, 2017 I discovered that I had a fraudulent charges on my credit card for the amount of $1650.00 , this was almost 6 months after he serviced my boat. I called and left him several messages but no return calls.I'm in the process of taking him to court and put this scumbag out of business.

Mike did excellent work on my 34 foot Tolly. He gave me an estimate and a time frame for the work and cost. He hit both points exact. Absolutely happy with the work and communication he provided during the process. Any boat work needed I will totally use him again with out question. Thanks Mike!

I have used Bridgehead Marine twice once in 2011 and once in 2011, and I plan to use him this year. Both times Mike did the work to excellent standards, finished on time and charged a very fair price. I travel from Richmond to have Mike work on my boat, because the work gets done well, and if things are discovered that force a few more days on the hard he has never charged me extra. As for the accusations of him charging credit cards without authorization, this made me look over all my statements very carefully, and as I suspected there have been no unauthorized charges. I have found Mike to be very honest and fair in all my dealings with him.

I contacted Mike at Bridgehead Marina for an estimate on various boat services. He emailed: "For haul out prep and paint bottom is about $950.00 Coplete detail is about $785.00 I would needto see the boat to give the other quotes."That sounded reasonable. So I met with Mike at my boat to discuss other repairs. He emailed a quote of $1,307 for the haul out, prep and paint bottom and $1,320 for the detailing. That's a total of $2,627 -- which is $892 more than the previous estimate.I emailed him asking why the cost had risen so much and offering to OK that work along with some other repairs if he could bring the price closer to the original estimate. No response. I sent numerous follow-up emails. No response. I called, got voicemail and left a message. No response. This is very unprofessional behavior. They at least owe it to their customers (or prospective customers) to respond to them - even if only to say they no longer want their business.

WARNING!I would highly recommend not doing business with Mike at Bridgehead Marine. If you do, DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR CREDID CARD OR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!I had work done in June/July 2016. Mike had asked me for a progress payment during the process, I paid this using my credit card over the phone. The job was fairly small and took over a month. Mike did not return my calls for weeks. I finally tracked him down, picked up my boat and paid the final payment. I recently discovered that I had four fraudulent charges on my credit card totaling over 10K, this was over a four month period. I called him to get this straightened out and of course, no return call. I am in the process of getting my money back and making sure this does not happen to anyone else.If you have done business with Mike at Bridgehead Marine in the past and paid using a credit/debit card, you may want to double check that there are no fraudulent charges. This company is obviously not honest or safe to do business with. STEER CLEAR!
