My first time experiencing a bed and breakfast and Kim has set the bar SO high. I HIGHLY recommend a stay here at the Bradford Place Inn and Gardens. I pride myself in leaving factual yelp reviews so here I go.-Location is PERFECTLY a short block away from the hustle bustle of the Main Street for coffee, bagels, meals, shopping, or maybe even a scoop of ice cream-Check in/out process was so warm and hospitable-We stayed in the Prospector Room because we were traveling with our dog, so took value in the private patio. Our room was cozy and spotless. Thankful for the AC unit as we visited on a hot weekend. Our dog enjoyed relaxing in the shaded patio. Our bed was comfy, more on the soft than firm, but did not hurt my back whatsoever. -OMG THE BREAKFAST. Kim is an UH-mazing cook. Perfect portion, flavor, not too heavy/complex, but certainly delicious.I am glad to have visited Sonora, but not sure if I'd make it an annual trip, to replace it with Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, or Napa. Nothing terrible happened, but I didn't have my socks knocked off either. Maybe it was the hot weather...not sure! If you plan on visiting Gold Country, do stay at the Bradford Place Inn and Gardens! We will.

We found this hidden treasure on Yelp and glad we stayed here. It's located about one-half block from the Main Street of Sonora (Tourist area). Kim (Owner) was so wonderful, sweet and very accommodating to my wife's dietary needs etc., when preparing our delicious breakfasts. Each day, our breakfast was prepared fresh, warm and delicious. Breakfast (forgot to take a picture, too good to wait) included a protein, fresh fruit, warm pastries, ice water, orange juice and coffee. Just the right amount to get your day off to a good start...We loved this old Victorian home, it's beautiful. Some rooms, like ours, have a private patio area connected to your room. Very relaxing... Although, we don't have any pets, this place is "pet friendly". Next time, we're in the area, we'll be staying here again. Kim is such a gracious hostess and good person. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND you staying here... I found this place to be very reasonable, relaxing, beautiful and includes a delicious breakfast, compared to a typical "no tell motel"!!!

The heartwarming welcome lights at night guided us like beacon. The custom made breakfast and freshly brewed coffee and fresh squeezed juices were amazing. We can even plug in our Tesla for a sip of juice. The 1859 home is stunning, clean, smells good, this place is just gorgeous. Pet friendly grounds and poopy bags to collect any messes. Plenty to shuffle around and do stuff in town a block away is Main Street of action, saloons, antique stores etc. this place was sweet. Patrick and Kim are amazing hosts. Thank you and see ya in End of Sept first of Oct 2021

We recently visited this B&B in Sonora for a much needed getaway and couldn't have been happier. Kim and Patrick were so kind and accommodating, we really enjoyed talking to them. Rooms were super cute and cozy. The location is right off the main st. so it's easy to head out to shopping, restaurants or just site-seeing. This will be our go-to weekend get-away going forward.

This was our first time experiencing a bed and breakfast. I was a little hesitant at first but when we arrived, I seen the place and met Patrick (good energy). I then started to feel better about this experience. The room was super cute and the spa tub was amazing! This was the perfect little peaceful getaway that we needed. We woke up well rested the next morning and made it down stairs to the patio to have a delicious breakfast cooked for us. What a treat since I'm cooking all the time. :) We got to then meet Kim (good energy as well). What a great team and very kind people. We look forward to coming back and staying again and trying out a different room. Thank you Kim and Patrick (Bradford Place Inn & Gardens) for being so awesome and welcoming. :)

You say you are looking for something special, a fun place to stay in the Mother Lode? Consider this.Bradford Place Inn, a B&B, is a charming Victorian lady. Mellow music always going in the downstairs parlor, filled to the hilt with real antique furniture and accoutrements, her rich dark interior woodwork has never been painted (thank you Lord). She is a step back in time with her vintage wallpaper, lace curtains, oak floors with worn, colorful area rugs, historic pictures (including photos of the families that lived their at the turn of the century), and two parlor sized player pianos with enough antique piano rolls to entertain you for a week. What fun!I had a purchased a really cool, discounted room through one of those Groupon-type websites. The only caveat? I had to use it by August 1st. So we went in late July for a 3-night stay. But such luck. Heatwave, all over the country. Sonora, even with its higher elevation was no exception. I sure hoped Bradford Place Inn, with all its quaint Victorian authenticity, wouldn't let me down. We really needed air conditioning and fans. The day we arrived, I could only stare. First came the substantial steps from the sidewalk, into the house, and finally up the curvaceous stairway to our room. Yeah. I counted [such an old lady]. 32 stairs in all. Hey, it's not really fun when you are dragging your cumbersome bags to your room. But gratefully we only had to do it once, and heat relief was instantaneous. Each room has its own state of the art heating/cooling unit mounted on the wall of the room (too bad they are unsightly). We are talking really effective air conditioning units managed by remote control. Well, there you go..... a toy for Wendy to mess with. So after I pushed all the buttons and discovered I couldn't get it back to the original setting, our most patient host, Eli (pronounced Ell'-ee), came to the rescue, undid my shameful debacle, and Mr. B hid the remote. Ahhhhh, cool again. And being a B&B, you can only hope the host is a good cook. The night of our arrival, we picked out the next day's breakfast and also when and where we would like to be served (as in the porch, the parlor, or yes, even in our room). His breakfast choices were limited to just 3 options: 1) Norwegian Eggs Benedict (with smoked salmon), 2) The Mother Lode Skillet (creamy scrambled eggs served with a side cup of good white cheese) and some great breakfast potatoes, or 3) Creme Brulee French Toast. There was also a choice of juice, and as much coffee as you can pour into your hollow leg (I need that). So, I can assure you, this host is a great breakfast chef. His breakfasts were all lovely, we tried all three, but after tasting the smoked salmon Benedict and his (actually Julia Child's) Hollandaise sauce masterpiece, I can assure you there was no other option for me. Perfect. We were given the Tuolumne Room, a nice but snug, upstairs room with a queen bed with its own private toilet/bath (had a strange shower tub combo that is adjacent the bed). The bed had a good quality mattress, soft bed linens. No hills and valleys here. Slept soundly. I believe he has 6 or 7 rooms total, some downstairs. Eli also lives on the premises. As quaint as Sonora is ..............how do I put this nicely.........we were there a little over one day before I had seen all I cared to see. An old cemetery, a local museum, a cruise down little Main St, a visit to the nearby hard cider farm/tasting room (Indigeny). Feeling quite antsy, we started looking for stuff to do. The well preserved (but touristy) town of Columbia is very close by, as well as many other quaint towns, my favorite being downtown Murphys where you can indulge not only in more history, but also wine tasting, fine dining, and shops with eclectic foo foo, too. It's all surrounded by pretty golden hillsides and gorgeous old oaks, and if you know what to look for, massive evidence of the scars to the land by those gold mining 49'ers.Thank you, Eli for providing a welcoming, safe, comfortable place to stay while we enjoyed the area. Fall is a really nice time to be visiting.

Stop looking for a place to stay. You've found it. Unbeatable location: proximal to everything downtown Sonora has to offer but because it's one street off the main strip, you don't have the headache of traffic and noise. Having earned tour guide Lonely Planet's coveted "star" designation, classic Victorian accommodations are supported by unparalleled personal service. The family that owns the bed and breakfast lives on the premises. Moreover, 110 volt wall outlets are available for electrical vehicle charging.

WOW! totally exceeded my expectations! I have never been to a b&b and didn't know what to expect. From the minute we rang the door bell until the moment we checked out, Kim has been amazing! I have stayed in many 5 star hotels, but the service Kim has given us was over the top amazing. She is so accommodating. The breakfast was to die for!!!! and then if all of this wasn't enough, we forgot a charger in the room, so she texted us offering to drop it off for us where we were spending the day working. Definitely going back to this wonderful B&B!

Wonderful! Kim is a superb innkeeper...on top of things, nice person, we felt as if we just guests in her home! we were four couples...long time friends...that shared the inn from fun, tasty, creative (and healthy) breakfasts to bringing in our wine and cheese for late afternoon snacking. Great location steps away from everything on Washington Street, the heart of historic Sonora. you can leisurely walk to any place that you would like to walk to for dining, drinking or shopping. three small museums less than five minutes away.
