I have been to very many small motels but this was the most horrible experience. The owner charged us a deposit for the dirtiest room ever. It was late and we already paid cash so we just stayed. The was were dirty the inside of the drawers were dirty the baseboards were disgusting and night table was filthy. He bragged that he remodeled this room and thaat it was perfect, no offense but maybe to a blind person. Anyways I admit I ate hot Cheetos that night and got a few red finger prints on the worn out bed sheets. That jerk kept our deposit just for that. What an idiot. It was truly a disgusting, I would rather sleep in my car next time before I ever would stay there.

Did not even stay there. The pictures show kitchens but the staff said they cant have kitchens due to fire hazard. Just from the outside I could tell it was nasty. If it was remodeled recently, I think its time for another.

The rate fluctuated as did the payment they excepted. A couple nights I was able to pay with my credit card which would've been doable because I at least would be able to earn rewards on my cashback account. After the first few days she asked for cash only and said they did not except credit cards. Made no sense since I had already paid by Credit card previously and when I asked why the discrepancy, the response was a little insulting and agitated me. " in case you don't pay your credit card we don't get paid" being that I worked for a credit card company before as well as many banks as a banker or loan officer I knew this was not true. If the card was a stolen card (which was what I believe she was implying) would maybe make that statement true. Full disclosure, The first week I was there I might not have looked my best, I had been moving and was exhausted so had no time to get dolled up and looked like a total hag! Regardless, that should be irrelevant and i'm pretty sure there are laws it would fall under somewhere within discrimination or profiling. If not at the very least it's just bad business and RUDE!!! Not much privacy. The staff is constantly walking up and down and by your room. They leave their dogs outside while they are in the store so they are yapping in the morning making it hard to sleep in. And you have to walk around them as they growl and bark incessantly. The breaker kept popping in the room. I guess the microwave was too strong so the fix at first was for him to take our microwave away and when I was protesting this he became agitated and said that we could take our money and leave. Are you serious?? So not only were we going to be inconvenienced because you have out of date and most likely not up to code electrical, but you're gonna get irate when we point it out and then be rude and insult us by telling us to leave and take our money?? On one occasion I had checked out hoping I had time to find another option and the younger lady did the walk-through in my room and asked where one of the two towels (not even regular size, more like double hand towel size) was. As if I had the need for a raggedy pre-used worn towel to steal one or a penchant for collecting them. Sorry lady, I have a closet full of fluffy ones that actually absorb water and prefer knowing only my naked parts touch. The towel was there under the other one. First room was outdated and mismatched. Had no TV because the cable was out. The guy (son in law or son) was super nice though and offered to give us the WiFi password so I could at least use my laptop or iPad to watch a movie. Second room, was always cold and drafty because there's no insulation around the door and you can see the sunlight during the day through the gaps. Which lead to the problem with the breaker because we always had to turn the heater on which barely heated the room. If the heater was on you could not use the microwave or the breaker would pop. Windows had no locks so I constantly had to put everything in my car and take it with me when I left the room. Then there's the view of The cemetery when you look out the back window which is A little macabre and spooky at night. When I showered I was always hesitant to open the bathroom window in case there was someone lurking through the graveyard or maybe a peeping tom zombie was roaming around in the pitch black darkness. The last and final straw for me was when I checked out she threatened to charge me another night because I had slept in up to check out time. I wasn't able to get a late checkout which you usually can get it at other places. She couldn't give me an hour to at least wake up and brush my teeth maybe slap on some make up but instead had up to the time allotted which was according to her "by the time she left to go run errands" which was about 10 mins. The thought of staying there another night was not an option by this point and Luckily I had already packed the previous night, still felt unbelievably rushed and pushed out since I didn't want to extend my stay further. The maintenance man did the walk-through and said everything was OK but she sent him back with his wife (who also works there I guess but never once said hello or even spoke to me or smiled) She ordered her to go back in and "double check" the room I had left as orderly as I got it and even swept out. In the end she ended up charging me $20 more and took my deposit for a small barely there very faint stain on the sheet due to starting the curse all women carry. I was embarrassed That it was even brought up let alone in front of a male Who at least had the courtesy of not bringing it up if he did see it during the walk-through the first time. I realize posting this makes it so everyone can see but I think it's worth it just to let you know what you're in for and maybe can avoid the same humiliation or rudeness. Do yourself a favor and go down the street to the RIPON MOTEL

this is a definite stop on the drive-by travel tour of ripon, california. i have always been fascinated with this motel. from the front, it looks like your average 1950's strip motel....which used to have a VERY cool neon blu lite motel sign out front. however, as you turn the corner, you come upon a massive old cemetery literally starting 2 feet away from the back of the motel. what's even more interesting are that all the back windows of the motel seem to be walled in (guess the view wasnt too desirable?). considering how old the graveyard seems to be (at least 100 years), im willing to bet there are some unmarked graves that had the unfortunate fate of being covered by the blu lite motel. i always presumed that this motel would surely have a "no vacancy" sign on halloween.....but it has yet to happen in the 5 years i've checked....

This place is a hidden gem , it's not fancy but it's clean .. No fear of bed bugs . It's quiet too . No scary night walkers hanging out . Even the smoking room smelled clean . 49$ after taxes on a week night . Attached store is awesome . Huge selection and super cheep smokes and booze . I dare say I'm in love . They were super nice and even let us park the big rig out front . Looks like there's only room for one tho . Definitely worth a short walk to stay here if I had to tho ...p.s.... Read the outher review about the cemetery right behind it , room 7 you can open the bathroom window and see it . When the room 8 showers it makes a super spooky noise if you did wana do like a haunted themed thing

I gave it one star because it would not allow me to leave none. I was in the area for over a week and had stayed there. I would not recommend this place for a variety of reasons, let me give you some. For starters, there was a crack pipe in the drawer, the room hadn't been swept or cleaned. (they also have no room service) the lights in the room did not work and it the sheets smelt like they had been damp for weeks on the bed. the owner then was knocking on peoples doors from 7:30AM and on.. one day was just to speak loudly, the other few days were to ask the tenants why they had not paid (he did this to us also even though we had receipts) every other day there were people trying to get into our room, the owners in the back where the bathroom window was OR stepping outside only to step in dog poop because they let their animals wander freely around the place but you are not allowed to have yours here. on the days where I brought up someone opened up our door while trying to get into our room, the owners began yelling at me and told me that I could leave now if I was uncomfortable. never once asked me if I would like to be moved or accommodated at all.

Worst place I have ever stayed. If I could give it less than 1 star, I would. The bathroom door has a gigantic hole in it, it doesn't even have a door knob, and the A/C doesn't work either! And on top of all this, the people running it are EXTREMELY rude. The LEAST they could have for a trashy place like this is exceptional customer service.

What can I say? The owner is a pig, and it's all smiles and polite conversation as long as you're checking in and posting the required 50$ deposit. But you won't be seeing that deposit back, NO MATTER HOW CLEAN AND NEAT AND HOW MUCH EFFORT YOU PUT INTO KEEPING THE ROOM EXACTLY AS IT WAS UPON CHECK IN, the owner has NO shortage of excuses, real or imagined for justifying keeping your money, even when there were 2 used condoms in the trash upon check in. Apparently that fact has no bearing on the ultimate decision whether or not to keep your deposit, even after it was immediately brought to the owners attention immediately after its discovery in our room's waste basket. I watched the owner deny the return of two other customers deposits before denying mine, and all for outrageously frivolous reasons, apparently they consider the deposit a nice source of income, despite all the customers these "business owners" are losing forever each time they pull this stunt.

This is a great little motel for the price. It is quite and safe.. not a bunch of street people and drug addicts like other similar motels in nearby cities. Its also clean! It is just down the road from Dennys and Starbucks is a few blocks away!
