Cute area with live music on Saturday! Such a nice ambiance and super cute decor. Lots of great places to try. Personally, I would recommend swirl on the square. The boutiques are sooo cute here but a little pricy. A dress that I liked was $130! No outside drinks allowed. You have to be dining with one of the 2 restaurants (maybe 3). Love outdoor seating and music, it is seriously such a good combo and a nice pick me up vibe.

Blacksmith Square has been at the top of my nice/warm weather "hangout" spots for years.Back in the day, 3 Steves Winery served up amazing wine at "The Square" (now they have a tasting room at their awesome winery!)Tap 25 is a great place to try any number of beers (they have a constantly rotating selection of first-rate craft brews.)Swirl on The Square is a solid wine bar with an ever improving food menu. The square itself is fun with bands playing regularly (some are better than others, for sure.)In all, Blacksmith Square is a double thumbs-up for me...5 stars

Blacksmith Square never disappoints. They host wonderful live music each weekend and have done a great job of setting up the space for hot and cold weather. There is shade in the warm weather and heaters for the cold weather. There are two food establishments that bookend the space. Swirl has lots of great snacks and wine. Tap 25 served beer and is soon to be replaced by a new beer vendor. Basically, there's something for everyone at Blacksmith Square.

Met up with friends here today to celebrate day 2 of my birthday. We went to Tap 25 & Swirl but hung out outside most of the time because the live music was really great and the sun was shining! I noticed that one of the retail spaces here is closed (formerly a olive oil place apparently) but otherwise I think you get something for everyone. There is a beer place, two wine places, a tea/coffee place, and Swirl sells food like sandwiches and appetizers. I think this place really needs to have more food options so that you can really get a full experience. I would love to see an awesome pizza or burger place here. Get here early because it gets packed!

Hot summer days in Livermore? Sitting on the patio, drinking wine, or craft beer... The fruit and cheese platter from Swirls was perfect!. Music, food and drink! What's not to like? (except for a little less summer heat!)

Wine tasting can NOT be more convenient!I only had two hours to celebrate my birthday with my hubby, so I chose Blacksmith Square. There was a special event that involved not only pourings by five wineries, but a live band and free food!We snagged the last table (note to self: bring chairs just in case) and rocked out to Papa's Garage. Hubby ordered some tapas from the new restaurant, Swirl. I got my tasting on at Hidden Creek and Retzlaff and enjoyed every minute of it. Do yourself a favor and come on down!By the way, all my tastings were free because it was my birthday. I can't guarantee you the same success though. It just might be my charm...

I love this place on a Friday night. Great food beer, wine, and music. Such a great place to hang out with a small group of friends or good for a date night. I love to get beer at Tap 25 and food at Swirl. Best of both worlds.

I don't think this place is 1 star, I actually think it's 4, but I want the people who hire the bands to take this seriously. We stopped by here on 05/30/2015 around 9 pm. We sat down, had wine, beer, and watched the band. The band. The band was great. Then the lead singer picked up a bucket, strung it over his guitar, and probed the audience for tips. Literally. He walked around and shoved it in everyone's face. It was the most disgusting, unflattering, and unprofessional thing I've ever seen. It made me want to leave. And we did. Begging for people's money, because yes, that is begging, in an environment where your guests are trying to enjoy themselves and relax is the most trashiest, unattractive thing ever. I watched as people hurriedly opened their wallets, whether they wanted to or not, because they were being put on the spot. No thanks. And when the lead singer made his way toward me, bucket in my face, I said NOPE! Sorry I'm not sorry! People are trying to enjoy themselves. They'll tip you when they want to, and if they want to. It's not necessary to tip, which I made clear to Mr. Money-Hungry singer.Huge turn off and makes the businesses look extremely bad. If I knew that band would be there, "I want sum mo'" antics in tow, I would choose to sit at home with my thumb up my ass.
