Boat had been sitting for 6 years. They did a complete service and had it water worthy within a week. Great service and quick turnaround. Will be returning for all my boat mechanical needs.

Brought my 2017 Ranger Z185 with Mercury Optimax ProXS 150 in for repair. Jack and Demetri listened to the symptoms I described and explained what they would do to perform the repair. They told me it would take two hours barring any possible additional damage. They were spot on. Not only did they fix my issue, when I came to pick up my boat they took the time to explain what had happened and what I could do to prevent it from happening again. Demetri also helped me get the boat hitched to my truck and answered additional questions I had on taking care of the trailer.These guys are the real deal; they definitely know their trade, the quality of service is superior, and they are good hearted people who are willing to share their knowledge and advice. I shopped around at other boat repair shops before finding and going with them so I know that their labor rates are competitive. They are now my go to boat repair shop. This review is a few years overdue. Back then, I was brand new to boating. Bought a used boat that crapped out my very first day on the water and I brought it to them to repair. They did an outstanding job, fixed some other stuff and redid the shoddy "repairs" the previous owner did. Since then, I've been taking my boat to them whenever there's an issue. Jack, the head mechanic, was always helpful and he and his team, Dmitry (who helps with the yard) and a few dif guys who have cycled through, have always been very friendly and took time to always explain repairs to this newbie boater and just give me tips etc on boating here and there. They seem to care about making boating enjoyable. More importantly, they do good work for fair pricing and never try to upsell me. Sometimes when minor things come up with the boat, I'll even text Jack and he'll respond with suggestions etc. In particular, one time I had a grounding event at a sand bar.....messed up my sterndrive. Jack opened up the drive and realized it was damaged and needed a replacement. Insurance tried to deny my claim and said that replacement wasn't necessary. It was a long process that kept my boat in their yard for months. Jack worked with me to fight with the insurance, working with their adjuster and so forth and I was able to eventually get them to pay me out for the repairs with his help. I've since moved my boat to a different storage area and BJ is further out than some other boat shops but I still go back to them because they've earned my loyalty for their customer service.

Met the owner to look at a used boat for sale. He showed to me and was nice and appeared honest and straightforward.Ended up buying used boat somewhere else just because I found a better/bigger boat for my needs.

Brought Jack a basket full of engine parts that another shop took apart. In less than a week not only did he figure out where all the parts went he got my Striper running amazing. Jack gave me an accurate estimate of parts and labor with outstanding workmanship at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them for any of your boating needs.Al Angulo

These guys are the real deal. Jack and Dimitri both go above and beyond, stay after hours, help until the job is finished. They did an initial inspection on my boat, testing compression and drive. They made some repairs to my trailer and fixed a few other little things as well. Thanks for your help guys!

Jack and Demetri are awesome. Our previous mechanic closed shop so we tried BJ's based on the reviews and we are very happy! Jack and Demetri listened to our concerns and replaced the water pump in a couple hours. They showed us the previous impeller and had the fake a lake hooked up when we came to pick it up so we could see it all working. Super happy! We'll definitely be back. Thanks guys!
