Big Break Marina

Drove up Saturday hoping to launch a cartop in the afternoon. But gates explicitly said closed to public. Sounds like members only now. Website doesn't mention anything about this.

Is it possible to leave a -5 star review?WHATEVER YOU DO NOT RENT A KAYAK HERE. Just drive a little further to Bethel Island Sugar Barge to save you the trouble.Manager working here is a joke. I rented a PREMIUM KAYAK for 2 days (2 weeks in advance). Was instructed to show up 15 min early to sign the waiver only to find out the waiver wasn't available (so what's the point of putting a deposit down and reserving a kayak?). Manager apologized and said the next day would be free of charge. Showed up the next day and same problem, NO WAIVER. I drove up from San Diego (8 hours) to fish the legendary Delta and Big Break Marina single handedly ruined my fishing vacation. BTW, no one answers the phone, ever.BIG BREAK MARINA IS RAN BY A BUNCH OF SCAMMERS AND I WANT MY DEPOSIT BACK

I have to say, I'm absolutely impressed with the staff at BBM. My MIL and I came for kayaking (last time we were here was easily 5 years ago). At that tome it was typical delta and nothing terrible. This time the property has been cleaned up and the staff member assisting us was so kind. Low tide, calm waters, air quality wasn't bad, and it was just a perfect experience. They've added a ramp for getting in and out of the kayaks which was so helpful to easily make the transition from dock to kayak and back. When we returned the staff member greater us and assisted me out. Then my MIL had a flair up of back pain and was unable to get out of the kayak. He helped us and was absolutely patient and so kind during this. He did not rush us off the dock to serve the next customers. This experience alone gives this business 5 stars.. everything else was a bonus. Thank you BBM! I will certainly be back!! (And so will my MIL once she's healed again).

Reserved kayak rental 1 week ahead for 8:30 appointment with $20 deposit. Was asked to come 15 min early. Showed up at 8:15am, office closed. Had been waiting for 2 hours until 10am, still cannot find the owner. Called their phone number 10 times, left voicemail, no response for 1 month.Now I'm not expecting to get my deposit back. Good luck

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I used to love this place, but now that they are under NEW MANAGEMENT, they are completely terrible. They hardly ever answer the phone. I've been to the establishment multiple times during business hours & they are never on the premises. I placed a reservation online for kayak rental and went to the marina, only to be told that all of the kayaks were out for cleaning. I've been trying to redeem my reservation money for a week now & can't get a hold of anyone. I want my money back. I went & bought my own kayak so that I will never have be disappointed by their lack of customer service again.

Big Break is a very clean shore area , nice walking or bicycle trails , nice spot in the world

Was hoping to hear back from staff today about a future rental unfortunately they didn't get back to me ..... Such a shame ! They should extend services in the winter for kayaking even by appointment that's still income ! With little effort.

Get off the couch and get on a kayak. Rented a couple of kayaks today and took the dogs for a lil time on the delta. Just showed up they rent everything you need. Close to home fun you can't beat it. If you live in the area you are close to a nice spot for kayaking and other watersports. Thanks again to the guys at Big Break marina. There kinda just reopening so bring your own lunch and beverages. Oh yeah if u have a kayak you can use the launch for $10.00 bucks.

Very friendly staff that enabled us to easily launch our brand new (used) Kawasaki stand-up jet ski during holidays. The marina was very clean with a wide ramp enabling two boats to be loaded/unloaded simultaneously.Easy access to the waterways, however better signage could be used on the water to highlight hazards.

Pretty straight forward drive in drop off. Kayak no charge if you don't use loading dock
