Think twice before sending your child here. The owner is very greedy and lack business ethics. They will harass and pressure you to buy things. Sometimes there are hidden fees. The studio jacket cost didn't include the logo painting fee. I paid $15 for the recital pictures. I got the website link and a password. I need to print pictures by myself. Besides the group photo, my daughter was only in 3 photos (another girl was only in 1). I was told my daughter is not the main character in the recital. That's understandable. But for the same price, main character gets hundreds of photos while we get 3. Is that fair? Be careful of what you say and ask. Since my daughter just started her ballet class, I was considering whether should let her to join the recital. They emailed me that every student will participate (I know another student's parent didn't decide yet). I never had any complaints to the faculty in the studio or through the email. I just asked 2 questions about the recital to the faculty and shared my displeasure with another parent, who in turn complained to the ownership. The next day, my daughter was expelled from the school due to my "rude behavior questioning" and "spreading negative news". I have never had a horrible service like that. I would choose zero star for this studio.

My 6 year old daughter is concluding her first year at Bellissima and she has absolutely loved her experience. I have watched her grow in her technique and dance education. She has been presented with numerous opportunities to learn from not only Alexa, but other highly recognized talents in the dance world such as Alexy Kulpin and Elena, a member of the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastic team. I can only speak to my experience, which has been much different then the negative reviews, and working directly with Alexa and the Bellissima faculty has been very positive.

My daughter was enrolled here for more than a year. This place is to be avoided. The owner will take fees and not return them when you leave, as was done to me. I had a similar experience to the other negative reviews in terms of the conduct of the business owner.

Unauthorized charges were placed on my credit card and I had a major hassle trying to get my funds back. Customer service is absolutely horrible. I could not stay any longer. There are many other excellent studios in the area. I should have read all the reviews before enrolling my child, unbelievable!!!!!!It is my understanding that the studio changed ownership in July 2015 and it's been downhill from there. And oh my, I just read the review by Anna S. below, please tell me that didn't happen!!! Yikes!!!! I definitely should have checked yelp first, because there is no way I would ever patronize a business who operated like she described in her review. Are you kidding me? Professional? No way!

Pros: The ballet training is excellent here.Cons: Terrible customer service and poor business ethics. This studio allows young girls to teach classes when instructors are gone. The substitutes are not paid instructors, but 13-14 year-olds who are left in charge without an employee on site. When I mentioned this as a concern to the owner, I stated that my daughter would not be doing the upcoming recital that I had previously committed to five days earlier, as our future with the dance studio was uncertain. They charged my credit card the recital fee two days prior and refused to refund the fee stating that they had already taken a loss by her prior commitment to the recital. Also beware of the cost of classes when signing up as they are not accurately stated on their website.EDIT: Since my review, I'm happy to report that the website has been updated to reflect accurate pricing.

Bravo for Bellissima! My daughter was a new comer to this studio and they welcomed us gratefully and warmly. We emailed Melissa about lessons, and didn't tire with out endless questions. The prices are very reasonable with the quality of lessons offered. The teachers here are very patient and are wonderful teachers.

WORST EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE EVER! I came for my private dance lesson, and the owner, Alexandra , started to argue with my teacher. She kicked us out of the studio, although my lesson was on the schedule for a week in advance. I understand that it could be a misunderstanding or mistake in planning, but I cannot find any reasonable explanation for the owners behavior. She burst into a hysterics, yelled and cursed at us (my teacher and myself, a client of the studio, whom she sees for the first time in her life). There were six people at the studio, me and my teacher and owner with her three colleagues (a woman and two men). I felt real threat for myself at the time, and literally had to punch my way out of the facility, running away in fear. The situation developed so quickly and went out of control so fast, that I can't even understand what exactly happened an why. Alexandra started to yell at us from the moment we showed up at our planned lesson, and very fast she totally lost control of herself, refused to return my teachers money for the rest of the month but required to return keys and "get out of the studio for good". After more arguing she returned the rent money in exchange for the keys, but it was almost a fight, Alexandra tried to rip off the key out of hand and then to pull back the check. I seen such a childish and crazy behavior only in the kindergarden, when kids are fighting over their toys. Long story short, I was assaulted and intimidated by the studio owner and her colleagues, which made me feel threatened because of the numeric disadvantage, and after insults started to be physical (grabbing my hand, getting close to me with a threatening gestures, yelling and cursing in my face), I had to defend myself and run away. Same goes to my teacher. I never met a real professional ballerina face to face, and now I wish I never had.I would like to erase this experience out of my memory. Seeing people who behave like this is already an insult, and being dragged into an ugly confrontation is disgusting. The reason why I write this review is that although I wish to forget this horrible situation, I don't want to tolerate such behavior from a business owner! You can walk away from a street fight, but if business owners will start to act like this with with their clients, this is unacceptable.
