Bella Vista Bed & Breakfast

Beautiful setting and very friendly and helpful staff! The room, bed and pillows were comfortable and the view was awesome. it said we had a pool view but had a much better view than just the pool below!

Husband and daughter surprised me with a three day stay here for my 60th birthday. All I can say is wow!! Most amazing place! The view from our room was so very beautiful!!! We looked out over the American River. They treated me to the Bella Vista suite and a most amazing massage in my room!! We enjoyed the hot tub jacuzzi and walked the property which had convenient sitting areas. We saw wild peacocks, turkeys and deer. Bella Vista is close to river rafting, wine tasting vineyards and old gold town Coloma, CA. Gosh this is now our "Happy" place. Romantic, peaceful, serene. I'd recommend this place to everyone!! My wife and I recently enjoyed a two night stay at Bella Vista. This was our second time visiting the Inn. The charm, peacefulness, and scenery are encapsulating. Moreover, Kathleen and Bob's warm and ever present hospitality ensure you feel welcomed, important, and comfortable. Bella Vista is indeed a diamond in the rough for those seeking to get away from the everyday hustle-and-bustle, and reconnect with nature's bounty in a peaceful and loving environment.There are many adventures you can explore just minutes away from the Inn, yet, in our minds, Bella Vista offers the most enriching adventure - one that allows a person to rejuvenate, refresh, and unwind.Thank you Kathleen and Bob for another wonderful stay. My wife and I recently celebrated our wedding anniversary at Bella Vista. My words cannot capture the the most romantic time we spent there for the four days. The Bella Vista Suite was incredible. From the in-room towel warmer, to the sandy beach, this getaway was everything and more. Kathleen, Bob and Claudia were the most gracious of hosts. The daily breakfasts were awesome. They seemed to cater to our every need to make sure we had a great experience. We met two great couples there as well, to share our experience at Bella Vista. I could go on for days about our stay, but I'll keep it short. Special thank you to Claudia for catering to my every need. I gave her a hard time, but she came through like a soldier! Lol. We are definitely coming back for a return visit. You've won our hearts.

Very unethical business. We booked this place on AirBnB and they canceled our reservation because someone booked it after through their site. First of all they should have it on one site not two, to avoid this situation. And after reading all her reviews on air bnb she has done this many times to others. They also didn't at all try to accommodate us with another room due to their error, they instead said to go to their website and book a more expensive room. So seeing others comments after the fact made me realize this business has been doing unethical business for a while sadly. Charge 3x more through, so they canceled our reservation because they would make more on the other booking. People spend time looking for the right place and get excited about their trips, to just have this person be so inconsiderate and insensitive to the issue they caused. Very unethical. The gal told us we could book through their site if we wanted to do so, which tells me they have the room but want to book it for 3x more a night. So what they are doing is putting on air bnb and letting people book then canceling and telling them to book through their website for 3x more. Absolutely unethical and wrong. I hope this helps someone not make the same mistake we did and save themselves the time and grievance.

This place is stunning! We immediately fell in love as we drove on to the property. The landscape is beautiful, inviting, and immediately makes you feel relaxed. We stayed in the Bella Vista suite - it was very clean, spacious, and had breathtaking views out of every window including the window from the massive shower (next to the jetted tub for two!). Breakfast was served on the deck - it was delicious and sweetly presented. Directly outside the suite is a gorgeous stone pool/hot tub (with a waterfall and slide!). The entire place is absolutely beautiful, with great attention to detail. We briefly met the owners, Kathleen and Bob - they were very kind and attentive. There is river access within a 5-10 minute drive of the place, and it's just close enough to town should you need anything. We will definitely be back, to stay longer!

It's so hard to exceed my expectations. Partner and I stayed here for anniversary getaway this weekend. Despite the scorching heat, we had an amazing time relaxing in the resort-like setup in the back. Every little thing was thought through. There was water in the coffee pot. There were pool towels waiting for us by the door. And self check in? Um, love that. Highly recommend whether it's 110 outside or you're visiting during ski season.

Booked two nights here. Called and spoke to an employee to confirmed I could bring a child. I went ahead and arranged my entire trip around this booking.the next day a woman called saying it was her son that answered their business line and answered my questions despite not knowing anything about their business. She told me to cancel the booking. While i didn't stay there, my limited experience with them ruined my trip.

My sister and I just spent 3 days at Bella Vista and did NOT want to leave! The service was wonderful and the location and gorgeous pool/spa area cannot be beat. We spent most of our time swimming and loved sitting under the waterfall. We had been looking for a place to spend a few days in the American River area and when this popped up, we jumped on it! Thank you so much to Matthew and Kathleen for making our stay top notch! We will be back!
