I've actually never eaten food here, and can't say that the menu appeals much to me... but I can say that - to my experience so far (six years and counting!) - they easily have the best and most creative cocktail selection (particularly seasonal) in the Tri-Valley area, and for this reason I will continue to return whenever a opportunity calling for a quality cocktail arises! My only complaint is sometimes they fail to bring back the best seasonal cocktails in following years... but I guess there's always hope for next year, a good excuse to drop by seasonally!

4++ Can't speak to the food here, although I had a few bites of what my niece was eating - but she couldn't or didn't want to finish. I came here to meet up my brother and his fam to hang out and have a drink. I got a themed tiki drink (Frosty the Merman) and moved over to the bar when my brother and his fam finished up. At the bar, I noticed they have a pretty extensive whiskey selection. The guys behind the bar were friendly and helpful - they also told me how they have a great whiskey special during the week (Whiskey Wednesday I believe?) where it is a super great deal for trying all the relatively cheaper bottles. The vibe: it during the holidays so the entire place was decked out in holiday decor and I mean decked out. It truly is a sight to behold. It made the vibe more festive and fun as well. I haven't been here other parts of the year, but without the holiday decor, I would say the spot would probably be described as a local sports/whiskey bar with accents of tiki throughout. All in all, just a great place to drink some whiskey or meet up with friends. Hoping next time I will be able to try more of their food.

We choose Beer Baron for its Christmas holiday themed bar and festive look! They definitely did not disappoint with the decorations and liveliness. We made reservations for 9 on a Wednesday night and the place was packed. Much busier than I expected for a week night! Cons: - we sat at a long table with bar stools in the corner. We had a big party so I didn't mind the table, but there was no place to hang jackets or bags- we waited a very long time for service and food, however drinks came pretty quickly -very loud and was hard to have conversations (but not unexpected since it was a busy bar, just be prepared) - burger was not good at all, very dry and limited to no flavor Pros: -holiday themed drink were very good -most of the food was good! I ordered the skirt steak and mashed potatoes which was cooked very well! -decorations were amazing and looked great for the holidays

I recently visited the Beer Baron Christmas Pop-Up Bar and had a festive, albeit mixed, experience. The decorations were beautiful and really set the mood for the holiday season, creating a cozy, cheerful atmosphere. There was a noticeable wait to get a table, which was expected given the popularity of the pop-up, but it was made more enjoyable by the Christmas-themed cocktails we had while waiting. They were a bit on the pricier side, but the large serving sizes made up for it.We were given the option to dine inside or outside, and I chose outside, as the wait time was shorter and I was told there were heaters. Unfortunately, this was a disappointment--there were no heaters, and the outdoor space didn't have the same festive charm as the indoor area. I regretted my choice, especially as it was a bit chilly. As for the food, it was generally good. We ordered nachos, calamari, butter chicken, and a burger. The only downside was that the appetizers and mains came out at the same time, which affected the overall dining experience. It felt a bit rushed and disjointed.Overall, while the atmosphere and food were great, a few logistical issues detracted from the experience. If you go, I'd recommend dining inside to fully soak in the festive vibe!

After an unfortunate experience last weekend, the manager (Clint) reached out immediately to learn more about what happened. I returned with friends and we were well taken care of.Beer Baron during the Christmas season was packed!! This is the place to be in Downtown Pleasanton! It's fun and festive inside with live music, holiday-themed libations, and delicious bites to enjoy. The service was amazing! Our cocktails and food came out timely. Everything was as it should be. We tried the Frosty the Merman and the Sugar Plum Mai Tai. Alcohol forward and very tasty. Try them before this holiday pop-up bar leaves! For food, we had:Duck Fat Fries: Soooo good especially dipped in the smoked ketchupSalmon Sliders: Wow! Reminiscent of crab cakes. Very good! Highly recommend. Fried CalamariBrussels SproutsFor dessert, we had:Pecan Pie: Deelish! Berry Galette: Great crust!Overall, it was a fantastic visit. Thanks, Clint and Beer Baron!

Run, don't walk to Beer Baron before the year ends! There is currently a Sippin' Santa pop-up (think holiday-themed tiki drinks) taking place!A group of four of us came here on a Friday at 5:00pm and were very lucky to get a table right away. We heard people saying later on the wait was about 1.5 hours (they don't crowd the place and allow you to breathe at your table, which does mean a longer wait for people who come later).Food:- Loaded nachos: huge. Can definitely be shared between 2-3 people. We got this with chicken and it was tasty- Duck fat fries: you can choose two different sauces with this. The herb aioli was so good! Drinks:- I can't remember the name of the drinks because they were the pop-up specials, but all were good! The one I got in the Santa tiki mug was delicious. The condensed milk and espresso one in the clear glass was also tasty. Miscellaneous: - You can also buy their tiki mugs for $20! I got the Mersanta mug!- Parking is available via street parking and parking lots around the corner - Reservations are not available
