Our dog loves this park. So spacious & the sunset is so pretty!
Trees are stunning here
This is the designated dog side. To the left (south side of the park) are soccer fields where dogs are not allowed off leash.
This park is beautiful! Thank you Lodi for keeping it so nice. The trees are my favorite part about it. So peaceful.
Enjoying the wide open space!
Tons of space
Tons of shade

I love this park. Huge area for your dog to galavant and everyone I've met here is friendly and responsible. Great park!

Things to like about Beckman Park as a dog park (big dog area): (1)HUGE. Your pup can run and run and run. (2) Shade. Plenty of trees on the upper areas of the park for those days when your pup wants to run but you want to loaf in the shade. (3) Huge. Yes, I know I already said it was huge, but it really is. (4) Poop bag dispensers near each of the entry gates. (5) Some users are good citizens - putting found toys (balls, discs, etc) near the gates for their owners to find, randomly filling the water bowls, etc.Things where Beckman Park could be better: (1) Both entries to the large dog area are single gates, so it's easy for dogs to slip past others trying to get in/out, and escape out to the street. (2) The poop bag dispensers are not always stocked, so bring a bag or two of your own, just in case. (3) Some dog owners do not pick up after their dogs, so lawn grenades can be a problem. (4) The park is bisected into an off-leash area and a leashed area, but the dividing line is not fenced. It IS marked by a sign, but my dog can't read. (5) There is no water available in the big dog area for dogs. Hence, the good citizens who provide water randomly. Most of the owners - and dogs - using this park are friendly and easy going. If your dog gets a little rambunctious, a sincere apology is usually all it takes to clear the air. Dogs being dogs, they like to sniff each others' butts and chase each other around, and most owners seem to understand that.

Oh, my gawd!! Took my Husky to this park. Everything was great until a couple arrived with dogs askew. They opened the gate and let my dog run right passed them. He ran out into the road and almost got hit. The only reason I got him back is because he remembered a smell at the other gate on the other side of of the park that he wanted to have a better smell of. Luckily, it was right at the entrance gate where I slyly opened it and he absentmindedly ran back inside to be with the other dogs. As soon as we could get a hold of him (Husky's have their own mind and are one of the hardest breeds to train) we got the eff out of there. Those old geezers who let him out never tried to help or even apologize. He could have died! So many bad things have happened at that park to other people in the past, it's just a damn shame. First off, that park should have a proper entrance and exit system like other nicer parks have to where you go through two gates before stepping in or out. It's for safety, which this park lacks.

Came here around 1pm and the park was great, lots of space for dogs to roam around and play. It was perfect, HOWEVER, make sure who is in the park and how many dogs they have with them. There was this lady with 3 Huskies who bullied my German Shepherd, ganging up on him and bit him as well as this other lady's dog. Fortunately he isn't bleeding but still not a fair play. She apologized but continued talking with another person as if nothing happened, very rude and thinks she owns the park with her dam Huskies.

It's huge! I'd estimate 12 to 15 acres. Nice lawn throughout. It's pretty much a city park that has been fenced in, so other activities may be going on as well. My Labrador stole a baseball from someone having batting practice. So, bring your own ball. Poop bags are provided but it may be a long walk, so you may want to show up with bags in your pocket. There is not a separation for small dogs, so please keep that in mind. May you and your pooch have fun.

This is a drainage park. When there is a lot of rain it gets several feet of water in it. If they forget to lock the gates you can take your kayak in and create your own adventure. (dont forget your life jacket and wetsuit booties.) As a bonus you can get yelled at by the guy from the city. (they wont even help you back up the hill with your boat, and equipment, they just stand there all indignant and watch. Would they really call the cops for illegal paddling. The sign didn't say closed and the gate was open after all. But it was worth it to get some winter paddling in.Okay, as i stated, this is one of many drainage parks in town. Basicly a hole in the ground covered in grass. Fun to throw your flying disks back and forth (they used to have exercise stations which worked well for frisbee golf) and general enjoying the park. It is used for soccer (football) and other youth sports practice at appropriate times of the year. There is a large dog area and a small playground. There are bathrooms but they are usually locked. So be prepared. (go before you go.)

Even though this really is a drainage park, it has a lot of wide open space. The people and their dogs are all very friendly. No drinking fountains for dogs that I noticed; nor does the park provide potty bags like the Stockton park.Another thing that bothers me, is that the park has two sides, off the leash and on the leash. The park is shaped like a horse-shoe, "U" shape. The north side (half of the "U") is off the leash where dogs can roam free and the south side has soccer fields. There are no gates separating these sides. My dog is a bit adventurous and curious, so I feel like I could only take her here when the soccer fields are not in use. However, we will be back. Nice people. Friendly dogs. Lots of space.

Best dog park in Lodi....but don't go there. Why? Because you won't like the clean, green grass. You will gag at the sight of nice, local patrons who enjoy talking to you and are friendly. Don't get me started on the ease of parking. Way too much if you ask me. (see ya there)

Such a beautiful spacious area for dogs to run. It's gated and well kept. I like that they have a table that has a bbq grill. They have a separate area for smaller dogs. Love this dog park

Watch out for the old b**** who yells at people. Have loved going to this park up until now due to the rudeness of others. Some people don't realize that this is a dog park where dogs can go off leash and meet & greet others. If you don't want your dog to socialize with other dogs and yell at others for their dogs interacting then please don't come. Once again, this is a dog park and is for everyone to enjoy.
