Batey Park

Batey Park is one of the parks very close to my home. I come here a lot. I play tennis here with my daughter when she is on the school's tennis team. The park has street parking only. But I can find parking easily, or I can walk to the park. This is the park that I can enjoy with a short walk!

This is a great little park in the community. One of the best things is that it's not too big so therefore you can enjoy the entirety of the park. They have a play area as well as covered section for picnics and family events. They also have a wonderful tennis court which is open to the community. If you want to be outdoors with the young ones or you want to get some exercise in at the tennis courts to come to visit our park.

Back in my younger days when I played a lot of tennis ! I would bring my daughter here to this park to practice with me . This park is 1.9 Acres in size and in the Laguna community. It is also part of the Cosumnes Park & Recreation District.Bob Batey is descendants of the first families to make Elk Grove their home back in the 1880's. Bob and his wife Olga were both very active in the community. Many, many, years ago , Bob Batey had a Chevrolet Dealership in Elk Grove.Batey Park offers a play area for kids , with slides, Tot lot, climbing structures, a little play house, paved walkway, picnic tables, benches and 3 Tennis Courts. A great place to get in a little tennis ! Nice park , well maintained and close to home !
