Bannon Creek Dog Park

Very small, but very clean dog park. Plenty of shade and grass, plus three picnic tables and a bench. Not sure if this is normal or not, but all three waste stations were out of poop bags. My chocolate Labrador loved this park. What was strange is that we went to the park at 5:30pm and it was EMPTY. I brought my dog at this time thinking that he'd have some new friends to play with. Dog owners with smaller dogs should be aware that there isn't a little/big area. It's all one park. So if your little dog isn't social or gets nervous around larger dogs, you might want to look elsewhere.

Who let the dog's out?? Hopefully you took them and let them be somewhat free in here. It's a leash free fully fenced area for your dogs to run free in a sense.It has a few benches for the humans to sit on while the dogs burn some energy. The area is pretty good sized and has a few trees too for some shade in the summer and dogs to claim as there's spot. I have been a few times now and one day was muddy do the very much needed rain in California. Then the next few times there was a few dogs. It was great with no dogs the 1st time because we all got to see and get a feel for the place without dogs being dogs trying to make friends and not listen. Well mine is only a little over 4 months now so we are still training with him. Ok back to the barking.. i mean park. They have 2 dog poop bag areas, and trash for doggie waste and a water fountain for them to get there drank on! i would still bring your own bags cause they were both empty so far for the bags, and water fountain was kinda clean even for a dog, but still keep water on yourself just incase, could be really dirty or even shutoff next time like having kids and dogs always have to be prepared for them. The best part of walking the dog park was that i didn't even step in 1 pile or even find a pile being left behind from anyone. That was amazing and very refreshing to see people cleaning up!! High 5 to all who come here and to the ones everyday around this world that pick up after there pets! You are awesome and i thankyou bunches. I have stepped in a few at apartment complex were they have 5 stations fully stocked with bags and people still don't. :O/They also have a big plastic container with some toys people either leave behind or donate im guessing and theres a lot of tennis balls in here. It's open from sunrise to sunset, it is located in the back of bannon creek park fenced behind the school. But if you come down bannon creek st. You will see a black n white sign with a dog and a arrow, so you can follow the sign and the dog will use his sense of smell maybe, and you should find your way. Happy barking and have a wagging tail of a time.

This park is in the cuts!!! Lol it took me a while to walk down the path without hesitation.

Great small park if you live in S. Natomas. It is alittle hidden behind an elementary school and "park" off Azevedo and W. Elcamino. No small dog park area just fyi...Not that I needed it but some folks do. My German sheppard loved to run around there. Nothing super fancy as far as dog park goes just basics. The cons would be - lots of mosquitoes , above avg amount of pit bull types with younger clueless owners.... Not counting the one nice couple with the female one .she is a very sweet albeit wound up like a top, she has NO FEAR lol. Most ADULTS are friendly however...and keep on top of their pet. NO its not good to bring your child, food, beer, or 420...It is a DOG PARK

My dog loves it here. He runs around with other dogs more than twice his size, and plays fetch with them and their owners. Funniest thing to see him so competitive with bigger dogs, but he still stands his ground.

Nice little place. Strong fence. Off the beaten path, but not too far. Quiet. Good mix of dogs (sizes). Paved two-lane trail nearby.

Nice smallish enclosed dog park in Natomas just a couple of miles off the 80. Very shady, which is nice in this heat. There's a water fountain and seating, and the pick-up bags seem to be well stocked. No one here at all at noon on a Friday, though. Hard to find off the main road: just follow the bike path -- the park is adjacent to the school.

This is such a great dog park to come to me and my dog Maverick love it the people are nice as well as the dogs. Theres also lots of nice shady areas to sit at and relax as well as tables to eat at too. There's also always a ton of balls so you don't even have to worry about bringing your own. I haven't had any problems here at this dog park so far. I would highly recommend this dog park to anyone with a well behaved dog :)

My dog and I will either drive or walk to this park. It's great because it's hidden away and there's barely ever anyone here. They sometimes run low on the poop bags so it's good to have your own handy (there are those people who never bring their own and just leave the poop for others to step on). It's not the best dog park out there; very small with 2 picnic tables, a bench and a water pump, but it's decent and well kept enough to keep me coming back several times a week. My favorite is before 3 or after 6 when there's no one around and my dog runs around like it's his backyard.

There is a natural creek running through the park with some natural poison oak. To reach the off-leash dog park, you have to walk through the park, and it's a little more secluded than other dog parks in the area. You can't see it from the road. On a Saturday afternoon there were no other dogs there. The dog park is small compared to other dog parks in the area but does have grass. In my opinion the space in barely adequate for large dogs to run or play fetch. It has a high fence but the gate is kind of short. Large and small dogs do not have separate play areas at this park.
